Hotel really nice , very clean, and apart from one restaurant head waiter who was extremely rude on one occasion, all the rest of the staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you, the food was lovely too
The only comment I would like to make is DONT TRAVEL WITH SOLITAIR SINGLES HOLIDAYS THEY WERE USELESS AND AFTER THE FIRST DAY THE REP WAS NEVER SEEN AGAIN!
would go to the hotel again as a single traveller as I felt comfortable there

This is the best holiday hotel we have ever stayed at. Excellent in all respects: Service, room quality- especially the huge, superbly comfortable bed, quality and variety of food and friendliness and helpfulness of staff. We went in January and plan to go back there in March/April.

We have recently returned from a 4 week stay at the hotel on an All Inclusive basis where our stay was from 12 December until 9 January.
This is the high season at the Hotel and it is extremely busy but the service as usual is excellent.
This year the weather for the first few days was less than we normally experienced at this time it was a bit breezy and 21 degrees - compared the the weather being experienced in Tenerife at this time we had nothing to complain about.
When we book the hotel we use Barcelo.com rather than use a travel agent as you can choose the style of room you wish and then look for cheaper flights through either holiday companies or airlines. In our case we chose Ryanair from Edinburgh as the flight times are really good. If you are concerned about getting from airport to hotel Taxis are plentiful and cost 12 euro each way.
Back to the hotel for review. A full entertainment programme of daytime activities and evening shows is provided by the entertainment team and some outside entertainers. For those of you have been here before Billy who everyone knows was leaving early January to come back to the U.K.
Cleanliness in the hotel is perfect as usual and the grounds and gardens are perfect and the pools are well maintained although some guests said the heated pool could have been warmer.
We go on holiday to enjoy winter sun but also importantly to me is the quality of food and beverages no problem hear as the meals are always well prepared and enjoyable and the gala meals at Christmas and New Year are spectacular. Buffet style is the order for all meals so if there is something you don't particularly like rather than moan and complain about it go and get something else. At the New Year Eve Gala Meal if I don't mention about all the starters and soups and just mention that the main remembering you could have a bit of everything comprised of Veal Fillet Steaks, Lobster Thermidor, Pheasant, Duck Breasts and Venison - now you must admit that is some list.
The staff. In all areas do the very best to give you an enjoyable stay and work really hard and long hours. One of the things that anger me is how so many British People go up to the bar, push in in front of others and demand service out of turn and remembering how the British were always mannerable there is no please or thank you.
Fantastic holiday as normal and when we were there we booked up again for 4 weeks in June maybe see some of you there then if this review has impressed you.

Room Tip: Go for a sea View

This large hotel is ideally located adjescent to a large beach, harbour and a mall. The staff at reception did a great job of clearing the large group of guests arriving at the same time as us. We were upgraded to a superior room due to the wait and we walked along with the porter who took our cases to our room no.3238 in Area 3, our friends next door in 3237. Expect a LONG walk! The rooms did not disappoint. huge comfortable beds, great bathroom/ shower/toilet,TV, safe, fridge, kettle, balcony with sea view, all kept clean each day.
On a HB basis we had buffet breakfast/dinner at the Maxorata restaurant .Excellent variety of food to suit all tastes, replenished constantly. The Staff did well under the circumstances as the hotel caters for a large number of guests.
We booked two trips at the Thomson's "meet & greet" meeting.Friday's Fuerteventura Uncovered at 51e which took us around the island's nooks & crannies. Roger, our guide, made it memorable with his outstanding local knowledge. We also booked the Jandia express at !9e which gave you four hours to explore the south tip of the island, again well worth seeing We had a go at the mini-golf, good fun and at the rifle shooting which was well organised. The swimming pools were clean(one heated). The Lifeguard was not too busy as there were few children around this time of year!
Perhaps the biggest let-down for us(our opinion!) was the quality of the evening entertainment at the hotel. Compared to other hotels at Tenerife/Gran Canaria it was not very good. Perhaps we were unlucky during our week's stay! What we can do with certainty is recommend the hotel. You should not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Rooms 3237/8 had partial sea views& had full sun early morning to mid afternoon.

This was our first but certainly and hopefully not our last visit! Although we unfortunately had quite an extended wait to enter our room (almost 2 1/2 hrs) believe this was partially due to us not asking about our room sooner. The reason for this was that the hotel was totally inundated with an influx of travellers and so many of these were unfortunately, vociferously complaining about the wait. We did not want to add to these, especially as the hotel staff were literally rushed off their feet and doing everything possible to address this! Thomson (Travel agents) alone, regularly have 600+ people staying every week and due to the size/capacity of the hotel, rooms are often only available after 3pm - hence suggest you leave your suitcases in the hotel's luggage room, perhaps have a free orange juice or sparkling wine, provided in the bar for you and then have a snack at one of the numerous cafes/restaurants around the corner until about 3pm and then enquire about your room. Every cafe we went to (i.e. in the local Commercial Centre) offered good quality, tasty and reasonably priced dishes. We cannot highly enough commend +/or recommend this hotel to everyone! The rooms are large, well furnished, numerous English TV channels and extraordinarily large, comfortable beds. We stayed in Room 2014 and found this location suited us to a T.........close to Reception and the Dining Room, a great, close but quite private ground floor view of the grounds and actually quite quiet. The food, the staff, the cleanliness of everywhere is first rate! The only problem we can forsee is that we will now compare every hotel we stay in, to the Barcelo Fuerteventura, but very much doubt any other hotel will match it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
