First let me start by saying I have wrote several reviews both long and short on many a different place. I would like to think this one is medium length and to the point.
We arrived here in the 2nd week of May 2014, on our arrival we were swiftly checked in by polite, courteous and smartly dressed reception staff.
The room we had was spacious, modern and clean, and was cleaned daily by polite room maids.
The main restaurant has both inside and outside dining area’s which again are kept very clean and tidy by hard working smartly dressed staff that tended to our every need. The day time snack bar has views of the pool and gardens and has a lovely relaxing atmosphere where the waiters often serve drinks to the table. In our opinion the food and drink in both the snack bar and the main restaurant was internationally varied, plentiful and of a very good quality.
The main bar is well staffed, obtaining drinks when the evening entertainment is on was only a short wait, and the evening entertainment was varied.
The hotel its self is positioned well, it ha all the local amenities around it and just out the back gate is a lovely sandy beach, the hotel grounds are well maintained kept clean.
All of the hotel staff was smartly dressed and able to perform all duties in a polite, friendly and professional mannerism.
To sum it all up in two words “Excellent hotel”
All in all we had a fantastic holiday here and plan to return.

Brilliant hotel excellent location we were not all inclusive but wish we were. Plenty of local bars and restaurants too . The hotel food was fantastic and the staff were very helpful . If your not all inclusive and paying for drinks they give you bigger measures and a larger glass !

I have just returned from this hotel having been there for 1 week. The food was very good for the amount of people there. Very noisy a bit like a works canteen. The staff work very well to keep things clean and tables tidy. The area around the hotel there is not very much except drinking and eating. Did hire a bike from cool running for 10 euro. nice ride if the wind is in the right direction hard going one way or another. The ferry to player Blanca well worth the cost. A good day out. The local bus service is very good and reasonable priced. Not sure I would return to this island ????

Have just returned from this hotel, food was excellent and varied, pools good location good, staff very friendly.Close to shops and right on the beach, we didnt get out much so can not comment on surrounding area, ours was an all inclusive holiday which was exellent for the children.I travelled with my daughter and two grandchildren the idea being we would have a bed and a child each this worked very well last year in spain when we had 2 queen sized beds unfortunately this year the second bed was a pull out sofa which neither myself or my daughter found at all comfortable luckily one bed was a king size and very comfy the result being we two adults had to share that with a child inbetween us and the other child had sofa bed to himself, not ideal but we managed, worth checking sleeping arrangements before booking

Stayed at this hotel from 14th May 2014 , for seven days , All inclusive ,in a premier room , through First Choice Holidays .As we had stayed at the hotel in November 2013 , we knew the lay out and routines of the hotel . My wife who had a walking problem at the time of booking ,mailed the hotel and asked if it was possible to have a room nearer to reception and the restaurant this time as our previous room was a long walk ,the hotel replied ,saying they would do their best to help us if possible . On arrival ,as the hotel is only ten to twelve minutes from the airport , you sometimes have to wait for your room to be cleaned as the journey time gives them a short turn round time , but on check in , our room was ready and our wishes were granted ,all reception staff were more pleasant and helpful than they were in November .
The restaurant , as always some guests will complain about food temperatures or choice , but with the size of the hotel , I think the staff did a good job ,from breakfast to dinner we did not have a problem . The new poolside lunch time food servery is a vast improvement ,
Entertainment/Animation team , although the norm these days is to mime to a soundtrack , the shows were of a good standard compared to other hotels we ve been to , the day time programme was there if you wanted it but was we was nt bullied into joining in ,my wife enjoyed aqua aerobics .last visit the team were run by Billy if I remember rightly , he was funny and noisy , this time it was Jess , the shows seem to have a more professional edge , and was always chatty and engaging in the daytime and full of energy .
Once on poolside the area is quite flat with gates onto the walk way , leading to the small marina area and around the bay in the other direction ,or straight onto the beach .The small town is just outside the main entrance with most things you need a few minutes away .
I work on averages ,as hotels cannot please all the people all the time .
Did I have a good holiday ? ,would I go back again ? ,Yes I did , yes I would .

We have just returned from our fourth visit to this hotel and thought I would join the thousands of others and share my views on tripadvisor! This is a large hotel in a beautiful beach setting - virtually the whole bay is owned by Barcelo and they keep the gardens and general environs pristine.Rooms are the usual twin bedded with balcony, although they are in the process of updating - we got new pictures and lamps while there. I believe some rooms are decorated in a more boutique style but we've never had one - but the rooms and airy corridors are spotlessly cleaned and well maintained.( Quite honestly, if there was any dirt in a room I would complain there and then, not photograph it to put on line!).Helpfully - you get use of the room fridge for free (plus a couple of bottles of water) and only need to pay if you want it filled.
It is a great family hotel with lots of facilities for the children including a great animation team. They even do an evening 'Pirate' activity with dressing up, food and activities until late evening so parents can enjoy the entertainment in peace! If, like us, you would prefer a few less kids, avoid school holidays! The pool area is big enough to find some peace and quiet well away from the shallower kids pool.
The food was plentiful and good quality - loved the sushi - with lots of theme evenings and choices from kids' favourites, to roast dinner or local specialities. It was pleasing to see the furniture in the dining area was all new and contemporary, and they were in the process of enlarging and updating the pool bar area. I will add that none of these changes effected our holiday enjoyment - very quiet and discrete. It is good to see money being spent in the hotel and in the local environment round the bay - new building and extensions mean the resort is coming out of the financial doldrums.
Some very minor criticisms - the animation team doing the evening shows are not as slick and professional as previous years - I think they are missing Billy! There is no obvious reference to wifi accessibility in the hotel - I eventually found that you can have 30 min free in the reception area but have to pay about 25 euros for a week in your room. Surely most hotels have free wifi nowadays? Finally - who's idea was it to have the butter in huge blocks as opposed to wrapped portions? You end up with sticky knives and no way to control portion size!
Sorry to rabbit on but hope this review is helpful to someone.
P.S. The beds are super comfortable!

Room Tip: Area 3 is probably the quietest but is a long way from reception and dining room.

We (my wife, 2 young children and I) had a 2 week, all inclusive holiday at this hotel in May 2014. Overall we had a nice time and found the hotel to be of a good standard although there were a few things that could be better to improve the standard overall (compared to some other places we have stayed at a similar rating/price). First the good things.... The hotel is bright and modern and very well located in the centre of Caleta de Fuste and next to the main beach (with a 10-15 minute walk to other beaches). The original room we booked was nice, although we subsequently upgraded when we got there to a 2 bedroom apartment with Wi-Fi, beach towels, robes and free access to the Spa etc. We were pleased we did this as gave a bit more room and my wife made good use of the Spa (which she said was excellent). The food in the main restaurant was excellent, with plenty of choice and of a good quality that couldn't be faulted for what we paid for the holiday. In addition, the service in all the restaurants, bars, reception area was also very good and the staff did all they could to make our stay pleasant. The kids club (which my daughter went to) was excellent and kept her occupied with a variety of different activities. In particular she absolutely loved the pirate party that happens on a Friday and Sunday night. Many thanks to the staff in the kids club (Leanne, Jasmine et al) who really made my daughter welcome and ensured she made friends and joined in. We all enjoyed the evening entertainment with the mini disco being very popular and the show afterwards being very entertaining (albeit why does it start so late - 9.45??). The entertainment staff really pull out all the stops for the shows they do and the Lion King in particular was very impressive for a hotel production. The pool areas are nice, with effectively a kids pool and 2 adult pools (although 1 of those is used by the older children). Plenty of space around the pools and we didn't really have trouble getting sunbeds (even though it was half term for one of our weeks). Caleta de Fuste is nice enough although it is modern and doesn't really have that much going on (which is fine for families like us but would have been disappointed if we were without kids). Now, the things that could be improved, in my opinion.... The food in the Aloe Grill (effectively the pool bar/snack bar) could be improved - it was the same everyday (and throughout the day) and could be better. In addition, there is only the main restaurant for dinner, so no other option to provide a change of scene. Although the food in the main restaurant is very good, it is very busy and noisy and to be honest, after a while, it just becomes a bit of a pain/hassle queuing for food and trying not to bump into other people etc. In addition, at its busiest times, more staff are needed in the restaurant as there just aren't enough to clear tables and get drinks (there is no self service drinks in the restaurant and you have to order from the waiter/waitress). I have to say, we had two rooms during our stays and neither were the cleanest compared to other similar hotels we have stayed at - I wouldn't call it spotless (although it is generally clean). We were also disappointed that there isn't really a playground for kids other than at the kids club (I presume there was one previously as it is on the maps) - although there is one in the town. In addition, there isn't really any adults only area (indoors or outdoors) although the second main pool doesn't generally have many kids around it - but nowhere completely kid free if you want somewhere quiet. I'm not sure why, but they seemed to turn the heating on and off for the main pool during our stay - without heating the pool was pretty cold (and there was no heating for the kids pool at all!!).
Overall we had a nice time and found the hotel to be pretty good (location, food, rooms, staff etc) and certainly in line with what we expected and paid for. However, there are some things that could be improved to bring it up to a standard of other hotels/resorts.

Room Tip: There are a few 2 bedroom apartments available. We upgraded (form a one room apartment) when we arri...
