Beautiful hotel and would highly recommend. The staff were friendly and spoke good English and always gave you service with a smile. The room we stayed in was ground level so therefore we had sunbeds on a terrace which was great, very pretty and brilliant for our children. Maids cleaned the room perfectly everyday and were very pleasant. Evening entertainment is of such high quality, lion king, we will rock you, Celtic dancing all done by the animation team, perfect. They really do work hard and this truly shows. We saw an il divo tribute act which were absolutely fantastic, infact all the professional shows were exceptional. Food was delicious, you would never go hungry! The variety of food is huge, with some evenings having a theme ie, italien, Chinese, Moroccan. The service from the restaurant staff was again brilliant. Pool area was fine, we stayed mostly around the kids pool as our children are 3 and 7, very safe with lifeguards always watching. Sunbeds are super comfy with options to raise ur knees up or keep ur legs straight! We hired our pool towels at a deposit of 10 euros a towel but we got this back when we handed the towels back, u can also pay 2 euros a towel to get a fresh one. We didn't do any trips and spent most of our days around the pool or on the beach, the beach is just a stones throw from the hotel. Weather could have been nicer! Very overcast till late morning on most days with some days being overcast all day. It would have been good if the kids could have used the play area in the kids club during the day even without the team there working, there is no park or kids waster slides so my children often got fed up and bored with the children's pool which just had a mushroom style water feature in it! The kids club however was good but I had to stay with my youngest as he couldn't be left on his own as he was under 4, my eldest is quite shy so he only went to the kids club once and that was with me, the staff are fantastic though and make kids feel very welcome and have lots of different activities for them. We were able to keep our room on as we had a late flight for an extra 37 euros which I feel was adequate and I was happy to pay this. Flights were all on time and with just a 10 minute drive from the airport made the travelling a little bit easier and less stressful! Thank you barcelo thalasso for a brilliant family holiday, I would highly recommend you and would love to stay again. We booked through Thomson and stayed half board.

This is the best hotel I have been to and we had an amazing 2 week stay. The hotel is huge, it is spotless and we will definetly be returning here again! The beds are massive and so comfy it is unreal. The view from our balcony was lovely of the pool harbour and the sea. The food was the best I have ever had abroad, I have read in previous reviews people complaining 'they have hotdog sausages' yes but they also have normal sausages which are lovely! Along with bacon egg beans tomato omlets, really nice fry up every morning. They also have fresh fruit smoothies which were lovely also. For dinner they have foods such as burger pizza chips beefstew lasagne steak toasties. Tea is also a wide choice with cake, haribo sweets and marshmellows with a big chocolate fountain for afters! We never once struggled to get a bed around the pool as we were able to get the same ones everday. The entertainment in the hotel is fantastic, the lion king, il quattro, the gymnastics, we will rock you, the list could go on. Around the hotel there is plenty to do for all ages. There is a lovely indian resturaunt called Fusion 21 across from the hotel that was so good, also heroes bar does amazing massive burgers so give there a try. There is a irish bar next to the hotel and other bars such as Pieros which is a must! There is plenty steak houses and different places to eat. Find the scottish bar for a lively night out with kareoke! The beach is lovely and the sea is so clear. You can go and feed the chipmunks with nuts around the rocks on the mainland they eat them out of your hand. We went for a day out to Oasis Park zoo and it was brilliant, the sea lion show we watched twice! Overall amazing holiday and we will definetly be returning.

Very good hotel food excellent plenty of choice with themed nights waiter service for the drinks which are of very good quality especially the wine. Rooms spotless beds and pillows lovely two sunbeds on our patio pool areas very nice. Wifi you have to pay for and is not always available in your room check in needs improving as 3pm for everyone is too late when flights are arriving from early morning. To sum up I would go back to the barcelo we found it excellent value for money

Stayed here 2nd July for 1 week, we had a superior room with a sea view, I didn't pay extra for the sea view, I would say most rooms are sea view because of the way the hotel is built so don't recommend paying extra for this, I cant comment on the standard rooms though. The superior room was stunning with a huge bed and dressing gown and slippers, fridge and kettle, tea and coffee supplies. We had room 3231

A little tip- make sure you put the card on the door asking for the room to be cleaned otherwise they only come in to change the towels. We realized after 3 days of having sand in the bed that you have to put the sign out otherwise they don't change the bedding or clean the floor etc.

The hotel is lovely, the grounds the pools and reception...everything well maintained and clean.
Staff are very helpful and friendly, yes there are a few grumpy staff in the canteen but there is just as many nice, welcoming ones too! Food is good, what you expect from hotel buffet food to be honest. Glad I only went half board as it was nice to go out for food occasionally and you can swap evening meal for lunch if you want.

The spa is great, we had free access because of our superior room, we used this on our final day to get showered before the airport as you have to check out of your room at 12.00, you can get a free pass for the gate once you have checked out.

We didn't go to any evening entertainment, nor use the kids clubs so cant comment on this.

Resort of caletta is lovely, yes its quieter than places we have been in the past but it has everything you need restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops. There is a great cocktail bar on the promenade called Luna Blue - defo recommend this place, food fresh and tasty and the staff are very friendly.

The beach on the hotel is ok but if you walk further down past the spa and past the beach bar on the pier the beach is better with no rocky sand , you can go in the sea without flipflops.

Recommend hiring a car, we went to ecocars a bit further down from the hotel and hired a fiat panda for 3 days, cost 85 euros for hire and about 20 euros in fuel but we went up to Corralejo for two of the days and down to Jandia on the last day. Corralejo sand dunes and the secluded beaches are out of this world!! If you like white sand and crystal clear sea then you need to go to both Corralejo and Jandia.

Fantastic holiday, hope to be back soon :)

Room Tip: 3231 Block 3 - sea views and very quiet
