We returned home 2 weeks ago after spending a week all inclusive at this hotel and have rebooked to go back in November. it is a fun and friendly atmosphere the food was very good and the all inclusive bar offered a wide choice of very good quality drinks the beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in in a hotel the only thing we could suggest as an improvement is that they employ more bar staff as they were working flat out and were still struggling to keep up this is not a reflection on their capabilities just that they were under staffed. The reception staff were very pleasant and efficient. Speaking to other guests I realised there was a lot of return customers and I am happy to be amongst them ,if you are looking for a relaxing but fun holiday you could not do better thank to all the staff.

Room Tip: as far as I could tell all the rooms are similar although if you have young children who go to bed e...

Have just come back from a two week stay in the San Jorge and couldn't fault it one bit Was a bit devious at first as we had booked a studio as we were self catering and couldn't see what room looked like About 3 weeks before departure I called Thomas Cook and asked if we could have a top floor studio she got back right away to inform me that San Jorge had received our request and would do their best to accommodate us When we got to our room they had actually up-graded us to a one bedroom apartment which was brilliant so thank you San Jorge Staff very friendly and helpful Rooms were spotless only down fall no air conditioning but wasn't an issue I would definitely go back a really nice laid back holiday no one pestering us Loads of nice places to eat and drink Some days could be quite windy but was needed because can be really hot so beware make sure you use plenty of sun cream Overall I would definitely recommend its a 3 star hotel with a 4 star feel loved it Hope you do to :))

Room Tip: We were on the top floor and never heard a thing :))

On arrival reception staff were friendly. Hotel recently been refurbished however forgot to put air-con in all the rooms . This is an essential thing to have when staying in a hot country . Feeling sick most evenings due to the heat in the room . I would recommend getting a sea view room , however then you may experience being freezing early hourly of the morning . Bring your own hair dryer if , bring your own towels bring your own travel iron . These are not provided apart from hair dryer (you may as we'll blow your hair with your mouth) unbelievably irons are not provide as a standard room feature . You will have to traipse all the way down to shop to PURCHASE iron and ironing board it's not a lot of money . I mean we're talking 2€ a day with 10€ deposit , it's just the principle and this is something that should be pat of the room , get in there quick they have one for the whole hotel . Food quality is good but same thing every night . Please do not go all inclusive , here's are lovely shops and bars down the road that are 100% better . Drinks are not anytime they will stop at 11pm . After then you have to start a bill tab at is sent to room and you pay this at the end of your stay. Beach is not 500meters like grouches says , it's approx 15-20 mins walk nice walk but not 500M . Beach is Stoney with plenty of glass. Shops bars in town are lovely . Pool was okay , sun beds rock hard had to buy LILO to ly on . Do not go between school holiday no room to relax with screaming kids .

All in all good rooms apart from air con . Food good quality but not enough variety. Drinks stop at 11. Pools nice when your not being splashed and screamed at. Town centre is lovely.

Room Tip: Pick a sea view room , you may get chilly early hours of the morning . But it's a hell of a lot...

We went for the first time to Fuerteventura for 11 nights A/I with Thomas Cook on 7th June 2014, we stayed in the Antigua, check in was quick & friendly, seaview room was fantastic we had room 2325, which we had already booked on top floor, very advisable, the staff especially Sergio, Ines, Gallileo, Yetza, & Ramone, they couldn't do enough for you, the food is repetitive but we always managed to make something out of what was on, the soup is very delicious & highly recommended, our rooms were cleaned 5 times a week & towels were twice a week, on our last night we were given extra towels, we found that the night entertainment was poor because the childrens entertainment was on til 9.30 in the same bar as the adults & there was only 1 bar person on so the queues for drink went outside the door, the only group we thoroughly enjoyed was the alternative BeeGees, we would like you to recommend that you make the Dog & Duck A/I as we thought if it had been it would have helped, the beach is only 500m away if you take the short cut through the pathway of the bungalows on the seafront, the harbour was ruined by the construction that was on going, but the beach is beautiful, the shopping centre is good & you"ll find all your bars there, the market wasn"t cheap & you can be conned, but all in all the hotel is mostly for families with younger children, because of too many children we will be going back to adults only hotels but would recommend this hotel to families only, Len & Wina Carlisle Cumbia.

The location couldn't be better, right on the coast but yet not that far from the beach or town centre.
The hotel seems to do self catering, half board and all inclusive. We were on the all inclusive deal. On arrival we were greeted with welcoming smiles from the check-in staff, we were seen by Alice who got us checked in and to our rooms in no time at all.
The Thomas Cook Rep, Amy Farmer, was one of the best we have had the pleasure to have met, non pushy but yet very informative and always smiling.
The food in tthe restaurant was good, some cooked in front of you, to your liking and all the staff were pleasant, we didn't see any miserable faces anyway or perhaps its the way you treat people, smile and you will (hopefully) get a smile in return. Got to give a mention to two of the staff in particular, Ramon and Galileo (who is absolutley mad (in a funny way) and a great bloke to know).
On our wedding anniversary, when we entered the restaurant they led us to a table decorated with flowers and a bottle of Carva on ice. When we had our first two courses they presented us with a cake, Ramon and Galileo sang 'Happy Birthday', then apologised as they did not know any anniversary songs, ha ha, brilliant!!!
Talking about 'mad' staff, Yaza in the bar was a treat, with a 'dry' but funny, witty humour
The entertainment for May was either really good or left to the entertainment team, that seemed to consist of three people, they worked hard but for us anyway it wasn't to our taste lets say.
There was some work going on but it did all seem essential and these places do need doing at sometime, we didn't find it too intrusive though.
Pool area nice and clean, plenty of sunbeds available at this time of year, either round the pool or further away, all protected from the coastal winds by a glass barrier, so you really do feel the heat of the sun. We were there for two weeks from 14th May, first week was a scorcher 30c, second week was more cloudy but still mid 20c's, last couple of days seemed cool, with more wind, just making 20c.
Would we stay here again . . . YOU BET!!!

Just returned from a week at the san jorge. It is such a shame as the hotel has many excellent facilities but is let down by the very poor food hygeine. Please read the whole review to get the full picture. Renovated rooms are excellent. Our sea view was to die for. Huge really comfortable beds and pillows, lovely pool area and pool bar , all inclusive drinks fantastic. There was a constant supply of cold bottled water, beer, wine, sangria and cocktails all served in proper glasses except in the pool area which is sensible so there is no broken glass. The service and friendliness of the staff was great . A big thank you to Mercedes in the restaurant. Only one peron let us down that was Ricardo the assistant manager who was arrogant defensive and rude.
FOOD HYGEINE . A cheese selection was put out on an unchilled area uncovered with flies all over it. I told one of the serving ladies who shrugged her shoulders. The next day my friend had a chicken skewer served that was cold in the middle. We approached Ricardo who insisted on taking us outside to continue the conversation. We were not complaining about the food but the dangers of poor food hygeine. He said it was ok as the kebabs were pre cooked and just heated up. That was just as bad because food that is heated up needs to be heated up properly to kill off bacteria.
This cooked and raw food were being cooked together with raw pork and the fish and meat were being cross contaminated. We were told by him that it was just our opiinion and this was a three star hotel. No one seemed to have knowledge of basic food hygeine and whatever the hotel category hygeine is vital. The desserts were not kept chilled, cold meat one evening was being displayed on light boxes so nicely warming it up. The serving ladies were seen using the same gloves to handle raw meat then melon and back to raw meat. They washed their hands with their gloves on not changing their gloves and finally took a piece of tissue wiped her nose and then wiped down the cooking surfaces. As you can gather my friend and I work in a catering capacity so have good professional food hygeine knowledge. What made it worse was the atttde of the assistant manager. We were not just telling him we didnt like the food but he had a catalogue of errors that needed sorting. Instead of listening he was arrogant and dimissive. We stopped eating in the hotel as we valued our health. SORT IT OUT AND MAKE THIS HOTEL THE EXCELLENT 3 STAR IT SHOULD BE.

Room Tip: Sea view is a must you can nearly touch the sea !

Dear Judith L,

thank you very much for sharing your experience on this site, but especially thanks for choosing us for your holiday.
We regret what happened, even so appreciate you writing this review, to give us the ability to replicate:
Our hotel is run by serious and professional people, we comply with all the requirements and we exceed all health testing. Our Restaurant service is highly appreciated by our customers and is reflected on this web page. We have never had problems about food higiene and never got complaints from our customers, I'm so sorry that your feeling has been negative, even so understand that if you do not know the right process of preparation of food, it may be that you did the wrong opinion, both about the food and about the service of our staff, beacuse the only thing they did was try to solve your questions professionally.
I regret to read things like "The serving lady wiped her nose and then wiped down the cooking surfaces", because is a serious lie, and this is the reason why this review is an isolated case.

I would like to remind all our guests that our food is well managed, and we invite anyone with questions to contact us or any of the clients who have left comments on this page to corroborate the information.

We are at your complete disposal in case of further questions, I also would like that you contact us in a couple of months, to check that nothing has happened and then feel sure you can come back and visit us again.

Best regards from Fuerteventura
