The food was the best we have encountered in any all inclusive, let alone an economy one, varied choices of meats , constantly hot and good variation of salads etc. trays usually changed as soon as empty, even up to 10 mins before closing. Tea, soft drinks and beer were on self service taps. Waiters rushed around to clear and relay tables, although it did get away from them a bit at busy times, but a little patience never hurt anyone! The restaurant was spotlessly clean.
There were three pools, one heated and although not specifically reserved for adults, there was a quieter “adult friendly” pool, unfortunately, not the heated one, as well as the other two which were pretty well commandeered by the entertainments team for the kids games etc.
Ok so no where’s that good!!The only real downside for my wife and I was the fact that the entertainment staff were very noisy and catered predominantly for children, of which there were lots!! There was a little Bingo in the afternoon for adults (yippee!!)but it was mainly for kids up to and past 22.00, we often gave up by then and went to our room!! There was very little drinking areas outside the restaurant as the main lounge was used for the kids, entertainment. There was another bar, lots of karaoke but it did not look too inviting to me, (personal choice- others seem to love it!! ) Not sure how close or good local bars or clubs were as I have mobility problems and was a bit stuck in the hotel. On mobility. The hotel was about 8 out of 10 for wheelchair friendly. There were lifts, though not many, but ramps in most places where needed.
Although not specifically reserved for adults, there was a quilter “adult friendly” pool as well as the other two which were pretty well commandeered by the entertainments team for the kid’s games etc. I gather the two other ones were very, very, cold!!!
The two drinks per person per order was fairly rigidly stuck too and all inc finished at 23.00 on the dot. The bar staff all seemed fairly friendly.
The TV’s are metered at E1 per hour, although a bit of a rip off, we at least had a fair selection of Brit channels for news and films and ITV1 for Soap watchers!!!
We were on the outside edge of the hotel, we could hear the traffic, but it was not disturbing, The hotel is on the landing flight path for the airport, about 7 miles away and the aircraft are fairly loud!! But no night flights after about 22.00 and before 07.45. again, did not disturb us.
A word of warning for any families wanting to go on the beach with sun beds and parasols, cost was 2xsunbeds + 1x parasol = E9 a day!!!! Ouch!!!
To sum up, if you have young kids, love Bingo, then it’s probably for you, if you want a relaxing holiday. Look elsewhere!! We don’t have kids, so probably shant return, which is a shame, because kids apart, we loved it! Note, We did purposely go IN school term, not in school holidays.
