me and my family stayed here and had a very relaxing holiday, we found the hotel staff to be polite and very helpful, the rooms are very well maintianed and clean. the food in the alacarte restaurant beside the spacious pool is very good, the steak in cracked black pepper sauce is much recomended i could've lived on it every day!!! with the pub right next door with the very friendly barmaid named Elena, plus the hotel has its own shop. outside the hotel is very tranquil with all the bars and retaurants a short distance away

My husband and I arrived home on 9 November after spending 7 wondeful nights at the Broincemar Beach Hotel/Apartments. We were in an upstairs . apartment with two lovely balconies the room was basic but very large with a separate bedroom bathroom and living room/ kitchen dinning room. The room was very comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. The hotel and grounds themselves were very clean there are three swimming pools and numerous bars and restaurants on site , although we personally did not eat in any of the restaurants there were many others who did. We preferred to eat out each day as there was such a choice of different restaurants outside the hotel. We would definately recommend this hotel to others as we thought it was in a perfect position within the resort only about 50metres from the main shopiing area and about 300 metres to the beach. Although there were plenty of bars the resort was not too noisy but this could also be the time of year. We would certainly go to the Broncemar beach in the furture and feel it is a perfect place for a little winter sun. The Thomas Cook reps worked very hard from morning to night to keep everyone entertained but at the same time if you didn't want to be part of the activities then there was no pressure to do so. All in all a good holiday at a very reasonable cost.

a good standard 3 star hotel
rooms a little tired, plus sunbeds as mentioned in other reports

reps and entertainment staff work hard and are very attentive

some pressure put on guests to report excellent feedback on their reps which we found a little odd and desperate

cost of drinks in hotel pool bar etc awful at 3 euros for a soft drink

pool area good

nice feel in hotel grounds
good location

lots for kids and adults to do around hotel

very close to airport which we found a plus despite the planes going overhead now and again but not a problem

waterpark in Corralejo worth a trip but you have to rent your own rubber ring so makle sure nobody nicks it

a nice quiet resort plus plenty of restaurants
Slow Boat II Chinese and Mambos and The Dome Pub which has a REAL half price happy hour (sorry happy HOURS) and cheap decent food

Do your food shoping at the Atlantico shoppoing centre about a fiftenn minute walk away just past the Sheraton hotel which also has the best local beach

Pricese overall due to the exchange rate is similar to the UK so you may have to shop around

An enjoyable holiday

I have just returned from the Broncemar Beach and have to say this is the best holiday i have ever had.
From start to finish the service from Thomas Cook was exceptional.
I would advise to go to the welcome meeting with the rep Laura the information given was very beneficial (even if you don't want to go on any trips). and also this is a great opportunity to meet all of the reps.
Laura our rep was lovely and always had time for a chat. If you want to know about the best resaurants in the area she is definately the one to ask.
We only had one problem in our room when we woke up and found a leak in the kitchen but after speaking to laura this was rectified within 20 mins!!!!
We booked a couple of trips which was the out of africa experience taking you to oasis park and this was a fantastic day out and we also went to the tity trollops drag show which was one of the best shows i have ever seen.
The entertainment team were absolutly fab. Dont miss the aladdin show HILLARIOUS.
On getting picked up to go back home Laura ensured she was there to wave us off. BLESS HER!!
Wish we were still there....
Please dont believe all of the bad reviews that you read myself and my wife have been travelling abroad for the last 15 years and take 2 holidays per year ranging from 5* to 3* and this is definetly the most enjoyable of all.
P.s we dont have any children but if we did this is a great place for kids.
I hope you all enjoy your holiday as much as we did.

This summer, we stayed in Broncemar Beach for the sixth time. We really enjoyed ourselves again. Our experience is that if there is a problem, once you report it at the reception, they will do whatever they can to solve the problem. From what we have understood from some local people, the whole Island has got cackroge-problems ( forgive me, this is a Dutch person writing!). At Broncemar Beach, they try their hardest to solve the cackroge-problems and yes, sometimes if they do, the little creatures try to find their way out and hide ..... into the appartments. Sometimes, one of the pools is closed for a few hours. Most of the time, it is because someone has been throwing up in it (or worse) during the night, so the next morning, they close it up to clean immediately! We have only once booked half-pension in Broncemar, which wasn't all that, and during the years, we have discovered that there are in the near area a few nice little restaurants where you can have diner for as much or less money as being served at the Broncemar Restaurant. For breakfast, there's an excellent fresh bakery, just around the corner. We do like the big balcony's if you have got an appartment on the first floor. What we don't like, and believe me, it has been like that for as long as we can remember ..... are the broken sunbeds around the pool. Reserving sunbeds is not allowed, but it depends on what time of year you are there wheather it is "nescessairy" to do so or not. The entertainmentteam try their hardest to entertain both you and your children and as being parents of a 3 1/2 year old now, it is a good place to stay for us, so far, 'cause it is quite a comfortable place to stay if you have got little children. During the years, we have seen some improvements they have made and even after 6 times Broncemar, we consider of coming back next year!

  • Disliked — The sunbeds

we have just come back from week hols, we travelled with thomas cook, when we landed at airport 45 mins early we thought great we'll hit the bars sooner than thought how wrong we were. Even though the transfer coach was in we weren't allowed to board for 1 1/2 hours as someone had been sick on it and it still wasn't clean, then when we finally arrived at the apartments it had started to go dark we were given our room numbers but do you think we could find them in the dark for some reason the lights come on well after its dark so we walked round for 30 mins before spotting a maid who showed us the way.The room was clean and roomy and no cockroaches we didn't see one all week. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and there was maid service 5 times out of week. My only complaint was the pool was filthy black bits floating under the water which meant i wasn't comfortable swimming under the water who knows what your taking in,and the water was freezing you had to sit on edge for good 10 mins before plucking up the courage in going in, overall we had a good holiday town was small but nice bars friendly and welcoming all be it a little expensive. Would i go back????? Yes i would to resort but not neccessarily to those apartments Barcello hotel further up the road looked lovely.
