I have recently returned from my second stay at this resort and I absolutely love it! If you total the days I've spent here it comes to about a month of my life I've spent here and have enjoyed every second! The entertainment team are fantastic! All day, every day! Could always make everyone laugh and there always was something for every age! The karaoke in the tavern is also brilliant fun! Staff are always very friendly and happy to help and listen! Obviously there are a couple that keep themselves to themselves but you get that everywhere! We did have an issue with our room which we reported, the manager was immediately called, despite it being late, he came out and delt with the issue which I thought was very impressive! He was happy to help! I could not fault this place! So close to every thing you need! Beach, shops, supermarket, chemist! Surrounded by lovely restaurants and pubs! Really is like a second home for me! Rooms were cleaned almost daily to a very good standard- new sheets and towels! Rooms were spacious with a fridge, toaster and kettle! For those who are planning going all inclusive, the food is great! There's always such a variety to choose from meaning it's unlikely to not be anything you like! And if there isn't, the snack bar by the pool always offers different foods in the early afternoon! Fresh meat is always available lunch and dinner which is delicious!

I highly recomend this hotel to anyone! It's a perfect holiday for all the family and you get more than your money's worth!

We stayed in this Hotel late July to Early August ( 2 adults & 2 Children). After being diverted to our room through what can be decribed as back streets of a third world country, Poorly Lit & rubbish scattered everywhere, we were presented with our room. Initially it was good and spacious with a few kitchen facilities, however we had doors and windows that wouldnt lock properly. No Air con. Shower was slower then an old rusty watering can and hot water ran out after 2 showers.(Handy for a family of 4 !). Beds were old and solid and bed linen was changed after 6 days ! even after complaints to reception. Towels finally changed after 6 days again after complaining to reception. Had to buy Water and pay for Fan / TV even though we were all inclusive.
Swimming pool area was run down and dirty. Black slime around edge of pool which turned into floating particles in the water when people got in the pool. Out of 10 days i only went in the pool 3 times as it was disgusting. Lifeguard was too busy doing maintenance and Eating to do any Life guarding! If you want a sunbed you had to get early as people reserved them before going to bed! I struggled to get beds for 4 ppl unless i got up at 4am!.
Hotels supermarket was three times the price of everywhere else. Save yourself some money and walk 5 mins down the road to others.
Food in the Hotel was the worst iv'e ever experianced. VERY limited and luke Warm. Breakfast was awfull as food was limited and poor quality, you had to wait 10 mins for Toast due to the machine being so useless, Queing for fresh cooked eggs was a nightmare and often eggs were undercooked. I could not believe that they even served Onion Rings, Fish Fingers and Chicken Nuggets for breakfast!!!! Lunch in the restaurant was repetative and again luke warm. It seemed whatever crap was left from the night before made its way to the lunch time menu ! Evening Meals were supposed to be themed however it was the same old tripe everyday just in a different sauce. All of this was topped off with the Lack of seating and disgusting cleanliness standards of the tables and eating area. Tables outside were left full of old plate and food where the local wildlife just helped themselves. The tables and fllor were never cleaned and not a drop of detergents in site. Surrounding the eating area was the recreation area for the local tribes of children and it was like eating your lunch in the middle of a playground from hell.
The poolside bar can only be described as feeding time at the Zoo. Small buffet area consisting of toasted sandwhiches (which you had to cook yourselve on an open hotplate, Safety was not important) and an attempt at burgers. With the area all open and no cleanliness at all we avoided it like the plague. The onlyperson who seemed to like it was the lifeguard who was in there constantly helping himself.
Drinks were served from one bar with one barman and very busy. service with a smile was never an option!
Entertainment teams tried hard but was repetative.
Some of the clientel it attracted had lower standards of parentlng than i have ever seen. Kids running riot (some under 5!) until 1 AM at night. No respect for others or their surroundings. I honestly thought i was staying in Benefits Street.

This Hotel is rated 3 star but is NO WAY a 2 star! AVOID

THOMAS COOK YOU NEED TO SERIOUSLY REVIEW THIS HOTEL AS IT IS A POOR REFLECTION ON YOUR COMPANY !

All of the above topped off with a 25 hour delay due to a broken toilet on an airplane made this my worst Holiday experience ever and have an ongoing claim with the travel company

Room Tip: Pay Extra and go somewhere else - AVOID

We stayed here in July and I have been thinking about writing about our experience of this hotel since I got home, as I wouldn't want any other family to make the same mistake as us. On arrival we were allocated two rooms for our group as expected. However, one room was stinking of smoke from the previous occupants and the other was filthy. There were shoe prints on the wall and remains of squashed, dead bugs. Cobwebs and debris down the side of the fridge, broken window shutters on both rooms, a broken bed and sofa. Cockroaches and spiders in the rooms-even a worm on the bathroom wall! We asked for a spray to decontaminate the place.
I asked to be allocated better rooms and had the unhelpful receptionist tell me that my nose was too sensitive regarding the smell of smoke but smoking is not allowed. We were allowed to look at another room but it was as bad- it had just been cleaned yet there was a bug crawling along the floor. The rooms are tatty and need repainted.
There was no chance of getting a sun lounger but after being in the pool for about 5 mins and seeing the dirt in it , it's probably a bonus point!
The hotel toilets are filthy, no toilet paper and many blocked.
The food is very poor, unless you like chips. I ended up taking my kids out for meals as the town has places which provide variety, and you aren't struggling to get a plate or cutlery like at the hotel.
On our last morning, there were cockroaches climbing over the glasses in the restaurant and on the walls and floor. If I had seen that on the day I got there I would have left.
We ended up using the hotel as a place to sleep more than anything and spent our days away from it. The beach along the sea walk with the beach bar is lovely.

Not sure why people moaning about this hotel me and my partner where very impressed for a 3 star hotel. We went all inclusive. The meals had a mixture each meal time, some the same and also some different each time. If I had of taken my children even they would would of eaten and been happy each meal time and one of them is fussy. The drinks where great soft drink available to get yourself and alcohol available at bar nothing to moan about. Food bar near swimming pool was a good idea and toasties are brilliant to make yourself.
Kids entertainment is brilliant for the kids (even though we didn't take them lol) bingo was fun.
Location of the hotel was brilliant we managed to go out of hotel to a local bar with great music entertainment pieros music cafe.
The room was a great size and no complaints. Your not asking for a palace with a 3 star but it was cleaned most days and towels and sheets where changed twice while there. We had no problems with out apartment at all :) we are thinking we will go back again as we really enjoyed our stay that much.

Room Tip: We had room 109 was on the edge away from centre.

Stayed All Inclusive 25/07/2014 – 08/08/2014, Very basic accommodation for all inclusive, more self-catering +, never been to one so chaotic. Adults in pool bar all day, leaving their children ( some as young as 5 yrs. old ) to roam the grounds of hotel, doing what they like, mainly damage & throwing rubbish about, same in the evening until 2am, I know they are enjoying themselves, but when a child goes missing abroad, it’s always somebody else’s fault. Towels on sun beds as early as 12am, pools very cloudy most of the time, with black particles floating in them, chlorinated & surface filtered at night, only seen them actually manually filter the floor of the pools once while we were there, obviously didn’t bother a lot of people as pools were full every day till 5pm, sun beds full of towels but not people.
Bar staff really over worked, but polite ( Tip him, it will work wonders ), only one bar man per bar, he has to serve customers, clean tables, collect empty glasses, rubbish and still be polite to ignorant people, all day/night, which means he serves for a while, then disappears for a while, leaving bar unattended, so queues build up at the bar, especially at end of night 11pm, when all inclusive finishes. This is obviously designed to stop you from consuming as much as you have paid for, ( All Inclusive ) which results in people gathering as many drinks as they can get on their tables, before 11pm, then leaving majority of them as they go flat really quickly. There are no self-serve pumps for beer as in most resorts/complexes.
Catering staff very polite, food is reasonable, quite a lot of choice, can be repetitive, but you can always get something, or go out into town centre for food. Outside eating area can be very noisy, due to being situated next to children’s play area. Quite a few cockroaches inside & around trough near supermarket, plus going into store room between Irish pub & supermarket.
All inclusive at this hotel doesn’t include; Safe, Hairdryer, Wi-Fi, Internet,TV, beach towels, you, have to rent all of these, No air conditioning, you have to rent a fan. Bottled water you have to buy, nearly 5 euro’s from supermarket on site, other supermarkets out of complex just over 1 euro for six litres. Hotel in need of face lift/ refurbishment & updating, only a 3* accommodation, used to be 3* plus, so the outside signs used to say.
Part way through first week, Irish customers arrived, very loud and boisterous children, Quite a lot of the groups had booked all inclusive for one or two of them in each group while the rest were self-catering, and using the wrist bands to get food/drink for all the others, don’t blame them, as no one was bothering to check them, Hotels fault.
Reception staff very helpful & polite, spoke to manager a few times regarding some of above, basically he said you get what you pay for, after spending a small fortune on an all-inclusive holiday at a run down, run of the mill self- catering hotel, we won’t be going again.

Room Tip: Pay a little more and go somewhere else.

Dear Guest,

thank you for taking your time and sharing your opinion with us.

I would like to apologise if you felt disappointed with our services. We try to satisfy our customers, doing our work as best as we can. There are some factors - like children left alone in the public areas - that we cannot control, other ones - like queues in the bars - have been already solved by providing more staff during pick times.

I have also noted down some suggestions left by you and, step by step, we will try to introduce all necessary changes.

Wishing you all the best,
José Luis Suarez

We stayed for two weeks from the 24th of July 2014. When we arrived the receptionist was very helpful and spoke good English.
Upon entering the room, which was clean and tidy but needed a bit of T.L.C. The shower head was held on with a fabric plaster band! Our sheets were only changed once over the stay although the maids were in everyday emptying bins and a quick mop round.
The good things about the rooms is that although we were all inclusive they did have the benefit of a kettle and utensils for your use. So at least we could get ourselves together in the morning after an awful nights sleep before we headed into the buffet restaurant which was quite a challenge dodging everybody trying to get there food. This was the same every morning and evening meal times. The lunch time buffet was better as there was an alternative of a snack bar by the pool which fed the people who wanted to graze all day.
Another downside was that there was no privacy, all apartment patios opened up onto each other so a nice quiet drink on a night or a cup of tea in the morning was not an option.
As we have two children we allowed them to sleep in the beds in the bedroom as obviously they would go to bed before us and us to have the two sofas pushed together to try and make a bed. This again was a downside as they were rock hard and the one sofa was longer than the other so even at only 5ft. 7inch even my legs dangled over the edge.
One good thing about not sleeping very well was the fact that we could get a sunbed in the early hours of the morning as a lot of people were putting towels out before they went to bed. Once we did finally get to sleep we were always guaranteed a early morning wake up call about 5a.m. by the staff and there wheelie bins thundering around the complex emptying the litter bins from the night before.
The food was OK got repetitive after the first couple of days but they are trying to please a lot of people all at the same time.
We all agreed that the staff all worked really hard and seemed to be there for hours on end doing probably 18hr shifts. The Thomas Cook entertainment team were very good as well if that's your cup of tea.
Nice location and resort but really tired complex and seems to be stuck in a rut!
Won't be returning even if it was half the price!

Room Tip: Far far away!

Dear Guest,

thank you for sharing your impressions with us. It is important to learn what we should change to make all the customers happy.

Please be informed that room issues - like bed sheets or shower head - can be fixed during a short time, it is enough to inform our receptionists what needs extra attention. As per beds and sofa beds - all travel angencies we cooperate with are informed that there are two beds and one or two sofa beds in each apartment, then it seems that you were misleaded by your travel agent while booking the holiday.

I agree with you that all our employees work hard, but it is not true that they make 18 hours shifts. Many employees in Canary Islands have a midday brake known as siesta - they work few hour early in the morning and few hours in the afternoon. Using this form of employment, we can provide better service in the peak times in the restaurant and bars.

It is a shame that you did not enjoy your stay at Broncemar Beach and you will definitely not come back.

Kind regards,
José Luis Suarez

Just back from 2 weeks here.
First week, couldn't fault; second week was a bit of a nightmare thanks to a group of teenagers that took up residence in the nearby kids play area (meant for 5-10yr olds) with alcohol, cigarettes and very loud swearing from 9pm till past midnight making sleep virtually impossible. But it's a family hotel we were told..... Maybe the management should consider gating and locking that area after 9pm?
We stayed in 335 which was a first floor 1-bed apartment with private roof terrace. In need of tlc and some redecoration in places, it was functional as a base for exploring. However, the kitchenette was not overly well equipped.
Be aware of hidden extras. Wifi cost us €40 for 2 iPads for our stay, and it's patchy at best. You pay an extra €15 a week for the hire of the normally free room safe. Extra for fans... In fact extra for most things!
There are no ceiling fans and you cannot sleep with the doors open thanks to the noise.
On the up side, it's well placed for the town and centrally located for families. For couples who like a little peace alongside their partying, look elsewhere!

Dear Louise,

thank you for sharing your impressions with us.

I would like to inform you that, according to spanish law, no underage
person should be left on its own, therefore the teenagers should not have
been spending nights close to your room. At nights one of our employees
stays at the reception area to be at disposal of all guests. One of his
duties is to help in cases of anyone making noises or braking basic rules of
social coexistence. It is a shame that we were not informed about the matter
during your staying, as we would like to try solving it.

All travel agencies we cooperate with know our offer, therefore your words
about hidden costs took me aback - we never try to hide any of the costs,
you should be informed about them when you book your stay.

Summing up, it is important to know which parts of the stay you enjoyed and
which we still need to improve. If you have any additional remarks, I would
be grateful if you contact us by e-mail.

Kind regards,
José Luis Suarez
