Dirty, lot of ants and cockroaches, awful smell, no kettles, money for tv, iron est., beds were broken and hot water enough for one person, all together – tragedy. Do not go there!!! We booked and paid for a week, but we moved to another place as we do not want to ruin our stay in Fuerteventura.

Excellent value, stayed in a 1 bedroom bungalow. was about 10 mins from the beach. The Market on a Tuesday & Saturday was rubbish, not worth the 200 metre walk. Overall excellent, however the only thing putting me off a return to here was the beds, we had booked a double room, this was just 2 singles pushed together, they were also so hard i ended up spending 6 of the 7 nights on the sofa, not the cheap romantic getaway i was hoping for. I would highly recommend "the Palm" in the centro commercial for food though, i wouldnt bother with the "all inclusive" package either unless you;re a moron, you can go to the supermarket 100 meters away and stock up on food & drink and they are quite happy for you to enjoy these by the pool.

After reading previous reviews I was a bit worried before we went but have to say we thought it was great and are looking at going back next year. The place does need a bit of updating and there are a few broken tiles here and there but we weren't there to admire the décor. We were all inclusive and the food was ok, breakfast and lunch were better than teatime. Dinner you had pizza, chips, and meat and fish choice plus salad bar. It wasn't top notch but then we didn't pay for a 5* so you get what you pay for. I have a 6 year old and a 20 month and they both managed to find something to eat every day. We were in block C which if you have kids is the best place to be, a short walk to get food but you are by the main pool and the little kiddie one. The pools are freezing, once in and swimming about it's ok but you need to be brave when first getting in. The kids entertainers Jose and Ash are great and my kids loved them, they really work hard. Beach is about 10 to 15 minute walk away and is quite nice or you can walk a bit further up to the other beach which is lovely. We really enjoyed it and would definitely go back. It is between 2 and 3 star so if you go expecting more then you will be disappointed. I don't really get people moaning about having to pay for the TV, I personally don't go on holiday to watch TV or sit in the room. The bungalow had everything we needed and was clean which is all that matters to me as we were out in the sunshine all day. If you want 5 Star facilities then book a 5 star hotel.

Well.... we didn't go all-in, we were self-catering - 1st mistake!! Everything is extra!! Kettle 20 euros, fan 30 euros, thank god we didn't need an iron!! Room wasn't ready on arrival so we headed for the pool - 2nd mistake. Sat at the edge of the pool my partner got up and had thick blue stripes on the back of her legs. My son also had it on his hands. Looking around lots of people had blue on their bodies and swimwear. Transpires the paint around the pool was not dry!! Unbelievable!! We went back to reception and checked into our hovel....I mean apartment. Floor was dirty, beds weren't terribly clean and man was it hot in there!! Went to the bathroom and the bath was plenty big enough for a hobbit to sit in. Went to reception AGAIN and asked to be moved. Not possible, so we took the decision to re-locate to the Barcelo Castillo Beach Resort. It was like moving from a cave to a palace. Suffice to say we got no recompense for our disastrous one night stay and we will NEVER go back!!

Room Tip: Go somewhere else!!!

Just returned from All Inclusive 10 days most disapponted holidays. Very deceptive information on their webside , Except for the comfortable accomodation in the Bunglows set at a good location nothing else was anywhere near 4*. No soap supplied for the bathroom,TV to be paid extra charges per day .Average food, not much selection, some of the hot food definately re heated from the left overs from previus day. Very poor selection of so called Italian food. Almost same dessert every day, poor selection of fresh fruits. Only Cheap Plastic spoons tea spoons provided. Over cooked boiled, fried or scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages every day. Some days omellets were cooked but the person behind the counter had no idea as to how the omelletes should be cooked !!! Only one Bar located by the pool way out 6 levels from the Dinning room.

Room Tip: Try and get a Bunglow in the middle of the comlex. so that you walk up two levels to reach the only...

My partner and I stayed at Caleta Dorada beginning of November and like i have noticed on other peoples reviews, was slightly dreading what we was going to find when we got given the room keys... However we was pleasantly surprised to find that we were actually staying in a little mini apartment which had a sea view like we asked. Everything was clean, everything worked, you get the odd ant in the bathroom but its a hot country, how can people honestly go abroad and not expect to find insects? It's nothing to do with how good the hotel is, ants will find a way in if they want too! We went all inclusive and the food was a bit repetitive each day but everything was always hot and tasted spot on. The alcohol was also very nice...;) Overall it was a lovely break away and you definitely get what you pay for, if not more. It was closer to the beach than we expected which is a bonus and also super close to the airport so no being cooped up in a shuttle for hours! This is definitely somewhere i would return!

We have recently returned from a two week stay here. We were self catering so can't comment on the food. We found our bungalow to be better than we expected after the bad reviews written here. Yes we did have ants but by cleaning up after ourselves, not leaving food out, we kept them at bay. We brought our own kettle, iron and hairdryer. The staff we met were all friendly. The location of our bungalow, 61, had a sea view and was quiet. The planes do pass over regularly but you get used to them. We used the local buses to get around the island, they are cheap and quick. The highlight of the holiday for me was getting to Lajares and buying a beautiful hand embroidered tablecloth made on the island. You catch an 8 bus from Coralajo to get there. The trip to Oasis Park is a good day out. We liked the Port at Rosario, it had some interesting ships there, also the shopping centre, Rondolas, where we had a lovely pizza for 5 euros at Margauritas. Caleta Dr Fuste is in a good location to explore the island and very close to the airport. They have an African market there Sat and Tuesday. For the money it cost us we were very pleased with our holiday and it was a really relaxing break. Would we go again? Probably not as we saw a lot of the Island but would recommend it as a great destination if you want a boost of winter sun.

Room Tip: C block. We were very pleased with our bungalow, 61. Had view of sea if at a distance, well position...
