“Disappointing”
Reviewed 16 March 2014

Stayed for a short winter break. But was disappointed. No social area on site inside out of the cold. Had to stay in chalet playing cards or walk down to the beach. Food good choices for the week, but nothing special. Real issue was the noise from the airplanes landing. Site directly on the flight path. This would be even worse in the busy summer months. Some of the staff were very friendly , but there were a few who were quite surly and rude. This was a shame as we are not the type to demand a lot of taking care of, but they were not very accommodating when we did ask for some help. Went to the Tex Mex "Wild West" restaurant for a meal on last day. Thoroughly recommend them if you want a different meal than AI.
Would not stay at this accommodation again.

Run down villas. Picture shows time share villas and not ones we rent. Fridge was rusty, shelves missing. Microwave didn't work. Covers on beds and curtains were patched. Brill as well if you love seeing planes flying over really, really low.
Best thing to do is hire a car, privately and get out and about.
Wild west restaurant good, on walk towards grotty beach. They have free wi fi too.

Go south along the coast to Caleta Calmo, wonderful beaches, blue sea and sheltered spots from the wind, sun and for the first 2 days we were there in March - rain.

Infrastructure brill, roads better than UK so get out and hire car. £37 for a day

I am not a fussy traveller and have stayed in many last minute holiday apartments, this one has to be one of the worst.
The beds were hard and lumpy, very uncomfortable. Very basic accommodation, we were self catering but there was no kettle provided. 2 ring electric hob only.
The apartments are not very safe, 2 doors which have very feeble locks and a bathroom window through which a person could break in easily.
There was one plug socket provided in the kitchen for the use of the microwave. All the other plug holes had been blocked so they could not be used. Had to dry my hair in the kitchen and keep swapping items over that needed charging.
The shower hardly worked, it was either too hot or too cold and the head did not fit properly so I actually had to tilt the shower head to get the water to come out in a straight line, it did not sit in its holder on the wall and kept falling off, the first water to emerge in the morning was brown for about a minute. The hot tap became so extremely hot whilst in use it was not possible to turn it off, very very dangerous for a young child. Even with a towel in my hand to protect from burning myself the heat came through.
There was no phone in the room despite being advertised as having one.
No TV unless a fee is paid, that didn't bother me but again it is advertised.
No wifi unless you pay a fee at reception.
Cracked tiles in the swimming pools, children's pools were dirty and rusty.
The surrounding area is untidy and not pleasant to look at.
The staff are aloof and not willing to help.
Ants on the floor in apartment, plug sockets hanging off the walls. Lights broken and hanging off walls outside. I would never choose to stay there again.

Room Tip: Don't go there the place is a mess.

Resort is close to the airport and will cost no more than 15 Euros for a taxi. Loads of facilities close by and within walking distance. Would recommend for families with children.
Would definately go again

Returned from this resort last Friday after a week's all-inclusive break with my sister. As previously stated this hotel is not 4 star. My reasons for saying this is the lack of all the facilities and amenities being open, quality of the equipment and the quality of the TV in the bungalows.

Previous 4 star accommodation that I have stayed in has had a la carte restaurants available and facilities around the smaller pool areas. That being said I certainly didn't pay 4 star prices so can't really complain.

The main pool area is good with plenty of sunbeds and is next to the only bar and snack area available. The restaurant is typical all inclusive and did get very crowded at times with a lack of cutlery and plates on occasion and running out of food only very occasionally. I thought the food was fine with quite a varied selection. There was a variety at breakfast time of cooked and continental food, I really didn't like the sausages and thought they were of poor quality (as was the burgers on one occasion at lunch). There was a selection of freshly cooked steak/chicken/pork/gammon etc. at lunch and dinner, a fish selection and chicken nuggets or similar available. Overall, for what I paid I thought the food quality was very acceptable. There was wine, beer, water and soft drinks available at lunch and dinner and fruit juice at breakfast - I thought the quality of the orange juice was very poor. At the start of the holiday it was very concentrated but towards the end it became very weak.

We only visited the entertainment for a short period each night and the animation girl kept the children amused but it was very repetitive. We tended to grab a couple of drinks and go back to the room.
Our room was in B Block and was very clean, beds were fine and having the cooking facilities was welcome as we were on an all inclusive basis. TV reception was very poor and we were refunded once we informed reception. It was a bit of a trek to the main pool and I think the hotel should consider either allowing guests into the dining area for drink during the day or opening up another bar, even on a self service basis. It would stop many of the complaints that we heard.

This hotel has the potential to be good but needs to look at the way the hotel is ran and to considerably improve the facilities. Staff were friendly and hard working.

Room Tip: B Block is quiet and near the restaurant, C block is closer to the main pool and pool bar but I thin...

We can only repeat what the other reviews say, ants in room, shower not adequate, beds hard, only pool bar open, which was like a barn - very windy, everyone sat with coats and scarfs, it spoilt our evenings entertainment, so we retired early - back to the cold bungalow, and uncomfortable beds! No wine glasses in the restaurant - wine doesn't taste the same in tumblers!! On one occasion in the bar, the brandy was served in a 7Up plastic cup!

On the positive side; the food was good and the gardens were kept clean and tidy.

Room Tip: Definitely avoid bungalows in A Block, not a nice area! However the bungalows in C Block were well p...

Just returned from a weeks stay. After reading the negative reviews before going we were very apprehensive about staying there, but we are pleased to say that all our worries were completely unnecessary !
We paid a little extra to have a sea view which was well worth it because our bungalow was in C block which is definitely the best of the three. Although this area is tiered so not practical if you can't manage steps.
Yes the bungalow and other areas were abit tired looking buy everywhere was spotlessly clean. Even the tiled walkways and steps were mopped every day! There was not a sign of ants or any other bugs anywhere on the complex.
The garden areas are also very well maintained.
As for the food - we were all inclusive and had almost all our meals in the restaurant. Yes you may have to wait a few minutes for a table but again it was very clean. The choice of food was very good especially breakfast. You would have to be extremely fussy not to find something to eat ! The food was never cold. It wasn't "posh nosh" but very good for a cheap holiday!
There is only one bar open which is in C block. This is also the entertainment area and is outside so a coat was required at night.
All the staff were helpful and friendly.
Please give this complex a go because we had a really good holiday and it doesn't deserve all the negative comments.

Room Tip: Book C block it is the best of the three
