We had two great weeks here on a self catering basis. Kitchens are a bit sparse no toaster or kettle, these can be hired. Room TV is expensive. House keeping was very good with regular changes of bed linen and towels. Reception was first class and we saw more than one person/couple with walking prob's helped up the ramps which are a bit steep. Once they knew there was a problem they acted straight away. It would seem that the all inclusive food was not great, bar prices reasonable. Would happily stay again.

Room Tip: All outside rooms are good

just back from 2 weeks at this place, room 153/4, xmas and new year. my sister was with me and has to use a wheeled walking aid. the ramp from reception to the first floor was a '1 in 4' ( 1foot up over 4 feet in length) when the UK max. is '1 in 12'. she could not get up it and had to use the lift and then go all the way round to get to the room, hers was next to mine. if you look at the ('hotel' and 'the noisier end') photos with the pool table in the middle, you can see the ramp on the left after the tables.
bathrooms are very small with a shower inside a 2-3 foot bath( photo 116). no chance of a lie down and soak.
microwave too high... at or above 6ft high,1.8mtrs.(photo high microwave)
bedding changes were minimal and at least one cover had a cig burn on it. i put the bedding changes down to festive holidays.
tv has 4 free channels and the rest is 'Roomy Tv' wich is 4.50 euros per day and 37 euros for 14 days. my recollection may be wrong about these prices but it will be very close.

the food was not good and the breakfast menu was the same every day. they refused to make omelets! very few choices and very repetitive.chicken was always chewy. as for third course, sweets, same every day, instant delight kind of stuff and only the flavour changed( you can see this in ;little cakes' photo 107), tinned pear halves and pineapple rings. xmas 'gala' dinner was just a buffet, nothing startling. supposed to have xmas pud (on the menu) but wasn't there. new years was just the same as every other day. we went out to eat very often even though we were all inclusive.

the kitchen is located behind the bar and stage with a passage between them, (see photo..All underhållning var för britter...) they have to carry the food from there, through the lounge to the restaurant, past the stage. very unhygenic. when they get the fresh food to the restaurant they just pour it over the old, cold, food that was left.
at the end of the stage, nearest the bar, there is a black curtain and behind it is a wheely bin. this is for the empty bottles. now, remember that this bin is about 3mtrs from the people sitting in the lounge, and when they THROW the bottles in, they smash VERY loudly. they give everyone a fright when they do this as there is no warning.

no a/c or heating in the rooms and nothing to boil water for tea etc.
they rent out some of the rooms and one woman who lived there had a small dog that yapped all day, at the Wood Pigeons, which annoyed people siting at the outdoor tables.
only one half of the pool gets sun at this time of year and all of the beds on that side were 'booked' before 9am.

please look at all of the Trip advisor photos before commiting to go to this hotel

the staff were fantastic and i had a lot of laughs with them
i know i got a cheap holiday but... cheap AND nasty .... come on. on the up side we got 2 weeks of brilliant sunshine and most days it was over 20 degrees C, over xmas and new year.
Calleta De Fuste was nice and i would go back but not to this hotel.

Room Tip: for wheelchair users avoid the floor containing 153 as the rooms on this side have 3 sets of steps i...

We stayed the first week of January and having read reviews were prepared for it to be not very good... when we arrived we were greeted nicely at reception and changed our room but this was not their fault (they had no record of us booking a double and we got a twin). The issue was resolved straight away and we settled into our room on the 2nd floor.
We had a great stay overall and I think some people are being a little unfair about the general experience of staying here. Ok, its not the Ritz but its in a great location, the all inclusive is generous and everyone we encountered, staff and other guests were really friendly.
On the roof there is a sun terrace so climb the stairs at the rear of the building as there are more sun loungers up there AND a hot tub!!
In terms of the food, best way to avoid cold / unappetising meal is to get there at the START of each service although the food is refreshed regularly and there was such a generous choice of meals and desserts and drinks.
The entertainment in the resort was also good, bingo most nights, parrot show etc. We would / will return here as we felt the overall experience was good and transfers from airport are so easy because the airport is so close (a taxi is 15 euros at the most so bear this in mind when you book your holiday as going by taxi saves waiting / having to stick to a timetable)

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of hotel get best sun - but we can't remember the room numbers! Beach is 5 m...

We've just returned from a week at Caleta Garden. After reading reviews we choose to make our own decision. We booked 1 week all inclusive and you get what you pay for. On arrival check in was quick and efficient even although our room wasn’t ready we were given our bands to have lunch and drinks. Antoahela at reception was very helpful and informative for any questions we had and helped with our transfer back to the airport. The situation of the hotel is really good, right in the centre of Caleta de Fuste. The place is clean the food was fine, the restaurant was nice and airy, drinks were serve yourself and the food was lovely YES lovely always well cooked hot and well presented, the pork loin was so tender and rice nice and fluffy a really nice meal. Esther the restaurant manager was very efficient and polite in her duties. I don’t know what some people’s problems were. The only problem I had was the pool was ice cold. The rooms were basic but we only used the room to sleep and get dressed in. The towels were changed every day and the beds were changed nearly every other day all laundry 10/10, cleaners work really hard and were always polite. The bar service had all the choice you would expect and Freddie the bar man was always very polite and friendly. We only ate out for 1 meal as a birthday night at Fado Rock. I would recommend Caleta Garden for future holidays.

We have stayed at the Caleta several times over the past 4 years, and with two teenage boys in tow, its very central and very cheap.
This time we were there from December 14th to 28th.
The first day we got there we asked for a different room as we caught about 5 cockroaches in the first ten minutes.... When we were going into the second room, a cockroach led the way for us. We ended up just having to buy raid, and fumigated the room ourselves every day. It didn't get rid of them, but we didn't see as many.
We tried to book the TV, €37 for two weeks. It didn't work so reception gave us our money back and sent a maintenance man up. He said 'yes, its broken'. They sent a second man up the next day and he said, 'your TV she is broken'. This went on almost every day for a week, until Christmas Eve, when the Technician came over from Lanzarote yayyyy. He said it was broken too. When we went back to reception they said we would have to do without it, as the technician didn't have the software to fix it.
I told the receptionist that we had been coming here for the past 4 years, sometimes twice a year, but we wouldn't be coming back again and she laughed at me. I told her to read trip adviser in a couple of weeks. That took the smile off right away.
Everything had to be rented, kettle, toaster, iron etc
When we stayed there before, there was free WIFI in the lobby, it was one of the very few places that had it free, and that was great with two teenagers. This time there was a charge, and everywhere else had it free.
I asked the receptionist why they didnt have free wifi any more, when all the bars had it free. She said it was because you pay for your drinks in the bars and that pays for the wifi... When I pointed out that we pay for our drinks in Caleta Gardens bar, she had no answer.
The area surrounding the Caleta Gardens is not good any more either. Most nights there were fights in the bars across the road where the police were called, and we witnessed two assaults outside the amusement arcade facing us, It's just not a safe place to go any more.
Thankfully we rented a car for our stay and we went somewhere different most days. The Slow Boat, buffet restaurant across the road was excellent, as was The Slap and Tickle bar nearby. We had a really great holiday, but no thanks to the Caleta Gardens.

Room Tip: Don't take a room over reception as there are a lot of deliveries during the day, and the smell...
