This is my honest review, firstly I have to say this is a lovely hotel the staff are very nice too plenty on reception so you are not hanging about too long, our room was perfect room 440 had a lovely see view and the waterfall got sunshine in the morning to early afternoon. Rooms have a kettle and cups/spoons and a fridge which is free.

The pool seemed nice but we did not go in as it was a bit cold, plenty of sunbeds so a few to choose from when we went down around 10.30/11am we went in March but it might be a different story in the summer holidays, we experienced the worst wind ever on the island it was extremely windy most days and on a couple of nights we did not venture out as it was too cold.

We did speak to a few locals and they said it was very unusual weather and said if we didn't want wind then to come back in September.

The cleanliness of the hotel was good our room was cleaned every day and replenished of shampoo/shower gel etc I have to say the bathrooms are huge in this hotel. you can get pool towels from reception 10 euro each deposit they give you a receipt so don't lose this as you have to hand it in when giving them back you can change them too for no extra cost a good idea as towels weigh quite a bit so more room in luggage for other things.

Dining room this is the BUT part, the food was rather bland and luke warm nothing was put under heat lamps to keep hot it was just in ceramic dishes and left on the worktop, we tended to go for food that was being cooked by the chefs that way we knew it was going to be hot, the sausages they use are dreadful and left a bad taste in my mouth, there is a chef doing omelettes and they are wonderful, the layout is wrong too they have jams at the entrance and the bread, rolls and toasters the other end of the room so if you forget it is rather annoying they need to be together, I also noticed they did not have much of a menu for the children, the staff were pleasant and work hard.

The hotel is the last hotel along the main road we used our sat nav on our phone and walked into town along the prom to the middle of town and it is 1.1mile, they do a free bus to town but it takes you to the Elba hotels only and does not stop at the top where the shops are so you have quite a walk probably easier and quicker to walk. right next to the hotel is a shopping centre with some nice shops and a massive spar shop with a lovely bakery and veg/fruit so everything you need. There is a McDonalds right by the hotel too. This hotel is on the flight path and we had quite a few coming in on our stay and this was in March I am sure it would be more in July/August

Entertainment was good and varied. To get to the pool or dining room there are stairs......they have lifts too but if you are coming from your room you have to go down to reception come out and walk round the corner to get another lift down to the pool/dining room.

Everything is put on your room key they don't deal with cash you get a receipt if you do buy anything so just keep them safe and check when you get your bill at the end of your stay.

We had a lovely stay but was let down by the food.

Room Tip: The higher you go the better view you get.

Returned from a 2 week stay on March 26th. Last year we had a week at the Elba Sara and were so impressed we returned this year for an extended stay again on the all inclusive basis.
The Elba Sara is a superbly managed hotel and it would be difficult to find anything to criticise. The Hotel is spotlessly clean. The reception is efficient, polite and well organised. They genuinely seem to enjoy their work . This reflects well on the management who run a successful and happy hotel. The bar staff and restaurant staff are excellent and very friendly.
An added extra this year was the Italian themed evening available to guests once a week at no extra cost. This is a waitress service meal in the Toucan restaurant. It was a real pleasure to have a relaxed meal in pleasant surroundings , it made a change from the buffet in the main restaurant.
The food is of a high standard and varied enough to suit all tastes. The local specialities are a delight and the seafood is worthy of special mention.
A suggestion ( not a criticism ) for the hotel. This year there were quite a few ( more then 10 ) familiea with small children and push chairs. Why not ( as other hotels do ) have an area in the restaurant for families with small children. All the high chairs would be together . The excellent entertainments ream could decorate the area ( and be on hand ) to suitable entertain the children and decorate the area. There is room in the restaurant at this time of the year to do this.
Keep up the very high standards , we will be back as will many other people we have made friends with over these last two years. Thank you !!

Room Tip: High floors have a better sea view , but all are excellent.

From the minute we arrived at Elba Sara, the staff were so polite and helpful. They bent over backwards to assist us throughout the entire holiday. We went with friends and they were more than happy to put us in rooms next to each other for convenience. We asked for a cot bed for our 2 year old which was delivered within the hour, and the previous bed removed too. When my hairdryer blew, it was fixed in less than an hour. I was amazed at the speedy response to all requests.

The room was cleaned daily and to a very high standard. I was surprised they could make our room look so tidy with all our clothes and belongings strewn everywhere! But they did!

The food was great, and there was something for everyone. We love that you can sit down in the Tucan Bar between lunch and dinner and that food is made up fresh on ordering. This is something we have not experienced at other hotels and were very impressed with.

The hotel facilities are fab. The kids pool is the perfect depth and is situated right next to the kids club which is very convenient. Just outside of the complex is the beach, and a large shopping complex with activities and restaurants on its grounds, if required. We went to the Indian restaurant one night, which we would highly recommend too.

Most of all, I cannot commend the entertainment and entertainers enough. All went out of their way to keep our children (and us) entertained and active. Frank in particular is so passionate about his role and this shone through in the way he was with everyone, but especially the children. We have never laughed and had so much fun in a 10 day period ever.

We are already trying to book up for next year and would highly recommend this hotel to ANYONE, but especially those with kids. Counting down...

Room Tip: We had a family room which is a little cosy, but was ample room for the 4 of us. Considering we spent very little time in our room, it was perfect.

This was our first visit to Fuerteventura and we were so lucky to have the Hotel Elba Sara recommended to us. From the very start of our visit until we left we found the staff to be friendly efficient and very helpful. Germain and Cooky were especially good. We had a lovely comfortable room with a large balcony containing two sun loungers and a table and two chairs. The grounds of the hotel were very attractive and well looked after. As a disabled guest I found the hotel easy to get around and there were no places that I couldn't access. If you are a cat lover do try and get to visit the 'Cat Cafe' within the grounds. Everywhere was kept very clean and tidy. The food was varied and tasty with enough to suit the fussiest eater. It is an ideal place if you want a relaxing holiday but if you are looking for a lively nightlife be aware that it is around 40-45 minutes walk away or catch a taxi to the bar and restaurant areas.

Room Tip: We were in room 245 which overlooked the pools and seaview

We booked for seven days after staying here last October and we were not disappointed. The Hotel is extremely well run and you are very well looked after. From the reception staff to the waiters and waitresses, everyone is so kind, polite and helpful. Nothing is a problem for anyone, from William, Christina and Sarai in reception to David who looks after the hotel services. We had am amazing stay and the kids and entertainment team were out of this world especially Frank and Carmella who were the life and soul of the place.
The food was varied and excellently cooked and the waiting staff very attentive but not in your face.
In the lobby bar was Moncho who ran the bar with absolute precision and had an uncanny knack of knowing and remembering people's tastes.
I would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be booking again in October. Top marks all round!
