stayed at hotel costa caleta for a week just got back early hours of today, on entrance to the hotel you feel that it is in the middle of no where, but after getting sorted you do find a lot of things to do and shops to visit. The hotel its self is pleasant, clean and staff are friendly, would reccomend not getting a pool view as the rooms are pretty small but that is your on option to go with. Breakfast was your typical full english brekki, lovely also you have a lot of international options aswell from fruits to cereal. Lunch :\ / dinner - eat out, dinner is a big dissapointment as there is not a lot there that cater everyones needs. sunbeds are a nightmare BUT if you are willing to be up and out your room at 8.15 to get one then you will. the beach is lovely you pay 9 euros for 2 sunbeds and a brolly, the beach itsself is clean and there is not a lot of wasps, the water is very clear, even though it says the weather only reachs 29 degrees or so it is a lot more hotter so make sure you drink plently and keep putting suncream on. The bar closes at 11pm everynight no exceptions even though there is a que to get a drink it does go pretty quick. to be honest you do get what you pay for, cannot fault the hotel or the location but food wise it is best to eat out.

went as a couple age 18 and 19.

me and my partner stayed a week here, this is first time we have ever done 3 star it was a last minute booking and some of the reviews seemed ok so we were a little disapointed with hotel, i suppose you pay for what you get, it was very busy too many occupents for the fercilities, night time entertainment was rubish and the bar/stage area was far too small with no were near enough seats, we ended up going out everynight cause if you weren't down early you didnt get a table/seat. pools were ok but small and if you weren;t down for your sun lounges early you didnt get one at all. roof terrace was nice with a nice breeze but still a lack of sunbeds. food was ok, a lot of people with children moaned as there kids didnt like the food, if your not a fusy eater then its fine, varity of drinks were fine, when you vacate your rooms on your last day your key cards have to be in for 12 noon and your wrist bands are taken from you, i thought this was a bit crap as our coach didnt pick up till 5pm and your all inclusive ended so no more food/ drinks without paying which i thought was wrong, we arrived the week before at about 8.30pm so its not like we were going over our 7 days/nights of all inclusive. maids came in and change towels 3 times while we were there a week, made beds n clean towels, only 2 bath towels no hand. i suppose all in all its a 3star hotel and you pay for what you get, it is a clean hotel just very overcrowed for the size of fercilities, beach is nice and only 5 min walk, chipmonks are fun too feed just round corner from hotel on the rocky cove of sea, some nice resturants and ok small bars scattered around and all in short walking distance, my advice if 3star is what your use to and your happy with this then the hotel proberly would be fine for you, just bear in mind it is very overcrowed around the pool, pools are very overcrowded and are too small for the amount of people the hotel holds, childs/baby pool is tiny and around the pools is not spacious and lacks sun lounges, and night entertainment is poor and again lacks tables chairs realy small and overcrowded.. some people seemed to be enjoying themselves although everyone i spoke too said they would never stay there again, i realy do think this was because it was far too overcrowed...

Room Tip: dont realy make a difference balconys are small, sun dont come out till 11am n cold at night.

I booked this holiday then read the reviews and wanted to cancel and go somewhere else!!
Please don't be put off by the negative comments on here.
On arrival i was pleasantly suprised by the size and cleanliness of our room, our balcony looked out over a road but it wasn't a bad view at all.
The hotel was extremely busy and sun loungers were hard to get around the pool as the pool area was only small in relation to the amount of guests that the hotel accommodated but up on the roof terrace sun loungers were easier to get. There was a paddling pool, small swimming pool and two jacuzzi's up there too plus mini golf.
Breakfast was lovely bacon, eggs, sausage, beans etc, cereal, fruit, bread rolls & toast.
Lunch was nice and so was the evening meal selection, we didn't have to eat out at all.
Getting drinks wasn't that much of a problem and it wasn't that bad having them in plastic cups.
All in all a very pleasant holiday, I travelled with my teenage Son & Daughter and they enjoyed it too.
I would return to this hotel in the future, friendly staff, nice and clean and good food.

Just returned after a 2 week stay. Our first week was quite nice and relaxing found everyone very friendly and overall very relaxing. Didn't have to que long to get drinks, found it easy to get sunbeds and a seat for the evening entertainment.
However on the second week we felt the hotel was very over crowded had to que about 15 mins for a drink, no sunbeds or seats to watch the entertainment and also saw people quing for lifts.
The rooms are a very good size, we were overlooking the pool after changing rooms from looking out on a road, not many rooms have good views. Found the hotel very clean and tidy, towels were changed everyday on the first week but never got fresh towels on the second week had to ask for them twice.
We went all inclusive where we found breakfast to be the best- full English, lunch was ok but a hit or miss whether there were anything decent, and dinner was always not very nice we ate out 12 out of the 14 nights we stayed.
The staff are very friendly and hard working.
Overall the hotel and surrounding area were nice but we wouldn't return.
Barcelo hotel and resorts looks much better, on the beach and brilliant evening entertainment, we found ourselves there most nights on our second week after no room to sit in hotel costa caleta which was a shame due to missing out on our all inclusive drinks at night.

Have just come back from a weeks holiday at the Hotel Costa Caleta. I stayed with 3 friends in two interconnecting rooms and we were all inclusive. I can't believe all the negative reviews of the hotel! For a 3 star it was lovely!! The rooms were clean and tidy, and as others said there is maid service everyday except Thursdays and Sundays. There was one day when we weren't provided with new towels but simply asked at reception and immediately a maid went and put some in our bathroom.

The food is varied and breakfast is definately the best meal with a choice of usual cooked foods; bacon, sausage, eggs etc as well as fruit, cereal and cold meats. There is a choice of juices, fizzy drinks and hot drinks available. There are cups (NOT plastic!) provided for the hot drinks!
Lunch and dinner have varied meats and fish, pizza, chips, salad and many other options. You can also swop one of your meals for a packed lunch if you are going on a trip or just out for the day. This can be done simply by informing reception before 9.30pm the night before. We did this and were given bottled water, sandwiches and fruit.

The pools may be slightly cold but considering the weather of the island this is very much welcomed! There are two pools downstairs and my only slightly negative comment is that these weren't very big considering the amount of people at the hotel; they weren't crowed but other hotels have slightly bigger pools so if you like a good swim this may be a small issue.
There is also a rooftop pool with two jacuzzi's. Its peaceful on the rooftop and you are far more likely to get a sunbed upstairs as this can be an issue downstairs although the 4 of us did manage to get some midday downstairs and when we didn't just grabbed some chairs.

Drinks are available throughout the day and when the bars aren't open there are self serve fizzy drinks and hot drinks machines outside for you to help yourself.

Reception is open 24 hours and the staff are very friendly and helpful and speak good english. There is also a luggage room where you can safely store your luggage after checking out and it is free.

Overall I think the hotel is great value and I would definately recommend it. The surrounding area has lots of little shops and bars/places to eat and the beach is gorgeous and if you continue walking along the horseshoe (bigger) beach you'll come to a small even more stunning white sandy beach which is quieter.

The hotel is only ten mins from the airport and we had transfers included with no option to take them off our holiday so this meant a little waiting around to get to the hotel but it also meant the comfort of having our holiday rep from Thomas Cook explain the surrounding area etc. I would also like to add as a last thing that the reps were great, ours helped us with an issue and was incredibly helpful and the other reps were lovely too.

we arrived at the hotel to have an hour que to check in due to so many people checking in and only one member of staff on, the food laid on for late arrivals was dissapointing about 5 different items non of which were suitable for children, we had to go shop hunting to find them some food, you dont get a kettle in the room you have to hire it as with everything else, if you are a late arriver and a late leaver you only get breakfast so you miss our on 2 meals as when you check out your wrist bands are cut off so you can no longer eat or drink for free, the pool side showers dont work on a regular basis a suncare adviser comes to the hotel to offer advice ect we followed her advice and spent a fortune on suncream and aftersun lotion from them to come out in blisters and have to get cream from the doctors on our return, the food is very repititve and rarely ate in there for that fact, costa caleta itself is boring we was a party of six ranging from 2 years to 60 years and was all board alot of the hotels are run down and empty including the one right opposite this hotel not a nice view if your are on that side, so if you are after a relaxing dont step out the hotel dont mind boring repetive foods this is the hotel for you x

Room Tip: go elsewhere!!! go to correjo
