Dont understand people complaining about this hotel, we got a late booking and we feel we got value for money. Hotel was clean, staff very friendly, food lots of choice always something you could eat, drinks good measures. Got to say some of the entertainment was really good , Magician was magic and the Blues Brothers were a scream. Hotel in a good quiet location just what we wanted. Only thing i was dissapointed about was the roof top bar not being open, we liked the peace on the rooftop and it was a bit of a trail up and down to get your drinks. All in all a good all inclusive hotel ,met some nice people, special mention to michael & steph. would certainly recommend this hotel.

Myself and my extended family has a two week all-inclusive holiday to Hotel Costa Caleta and to be honest, It wasnt very good. The rooms and hotel in general were clean but the staff were very rude and hardly spoke English. The food was cold and even served Carrots, Green Beans and Sweetcorn for breakfast!! Th area in general was lovely about a 5 minute walk from the beach and local shops and an english bar called MAPPYS in the area which is really good for money with drinks and meals

Travelled with my partner and my two teenage nieces (15,16) for a week all inclusive The reception staff very good and really helpful when asked questions. The main reason for the review is to complain about the lack of sun beds and awful food.
SUNBEDS: We were told that July and August were the worst months for getting a sunbed, the reception told us that a lot of the sun beds were broken and being mended and awaiting delivery. Hope they did turn up as it was a nightmare trying to get one after 6.30am. You were asked not to reserve them before 9am or the hotel staff would take the towels off and leave a letter, we did see this happen on a few of the days we were there, on one occasion I went to reception about some towels that had been on since early doors and they asked me to take the towels to reception. Of those sun beds that are there most of them are old and knackered and not adjustable and the mattresses were falling apart and didn’t smell very healthy. The rooftop bar wasn’t open and the jacuzzis only came on once an hour for 15mins also no sun beds on the rooftop.
FOOD: as someone mentioned it before the food wasn’t very hot and if like me you are a fussy eater you will have problems finding something to satisfy you, on the other hand my partner is not as fussy, but he did have the same the same problems as I had on certain days. One day the chicken was undercooked and my friend whom we met whilst there told the head waiter and he said they didn’t have time to cook the chicken for longer, he said what would you rather have, a long queue whilst the chicken was being cooked or no queue and readily available and possibly undercooked food, when my friend suggested the chefs start earlier the head waiter just shrugged shoulders.
BAR: very understaffed in the height of the season, but they did do a good job and tried to keep the queues down to a minimum (the same staff worked restaurant and bar and the pool bar during the day). The entertainment started a bit too late for the mini disco, that went on till 10pm then the so called adult entertainment started with only two good nights. The free drinks finished at 11pm so once you had put your children to bed and came back down the bar was ready for closing. Plus the lights in the bar area ALL went off at midnight leaving you in the dark looking like mushrooms. Also the drinks were served in half pint plastic cups you were lucky if you managed to get a glass and if we did we held onto it all night.
We teamed up with a nice couple who booked it as a last minute holiday, they have travelled vastly for 30 years and this is the worst hotel they had ever been to.

We have just come back from a weeks stay all inculsive. we booked last min with teletext and flew within 30 hours.
The taxi from the airport cost 14euros and took ten mins
It was a bargin and we had read all the reviews and didnt know what to expect.
the reception staftf were great and looked after our bags whilst we eat as the resterant was closing.
The rooms are spotless and the cleaners efficent.
lovely hotel and quiet townwn(just what we wanted)
The food was ok but very cold if you didnt eat as soon as the resturant opened. The choice was ok but alot was fried food and fish (which i dont like)so we just eat alot of salads and soups. The bar was totally under staffed but the 2 staff did work fast to clear thequeue.the measures of spirits are a lot more than over here but lager is served in half so remember to order double.Your all inculsive finishes at 11pm.from 11pm to midnight all drinks are half price so 1 half of lager is 1 euro.
The staff are good except a couple who are very miserable and deffiently dont like tourists.
the entertainment could be better with e xception to the blues brothers who were fantastic. I would advise everyonr to book their trips through reception as they are cheaper then the holiday reps.
overall value for money for us.

My partner and I have just returned from a lovely holiday at the Costa Caleta, we thought that it had a great standard of cleanliness throughout and staff were very friendly. Meal times were fairly good and the waiting staff were excellent especially Claudia and Domingo. All though my partner and I are only 17 we found this holiday a wonderful choice. We spent two weeks here and never got bored as there was plenty to do. Up on the rooftop there are two small pools and two Jacuzzi’s - although they were a bit cold :) the pools downstairs were lovely and have just had some maintenance done to them. The reception staff were helpful if they are needed and could speak quite good English.
So overall we would rate this hotel to couples and familys as it is a great choice of location and hotel. We enjoyed our stay and didnt want to go home!!

after i booked this hotel for 18 family members with ages from 2 to 72 i looked on this site and was really concerned about the hotel.there are some really bad reviews-as well as some good ones!.we just had to go on our holiday with the assumption that we had paid for it so just make the best of it.
we had a fabulous time there!
1-very clean hotel and rooms
2-plenty of choices of hot and cold food(although hot food was not always piping hot as is common in hot countries but there was a microwave available if you wanted it)
3-no problem with getting served with drinks-contrary to some reviews
4-3 very clean pools with plenty of sunbeds available
5-activities arranged for adults aswell as children everyday am/pm
6-very good standard of night entertainment, different every night.THE BLUES BROTHERS WERE SENSATIONAL
7-free bus pick up to go into peurto del rosairio
THIS HOTEL WAS GOOD ALL ROUND VALUE FOR MONEY BUT NOT IN A REALLY BUSY RESORT IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT.
