Revisited Menorca after 10yrs .Stayed at same resort different hotel.First visit stayed at the Binnermar self catering with kids which was right next door to the Roc.Went all inclusive 2 wks 20th september 2013.This apartment hotel was excellent value for money on all in,the variety of food and drinks were wide. The place was very clean and maintained, all staff were very friendly nothing was to much trouble for them. The maid service was every second day for bedding and every day for cleaning bathrooms fresh towels usual hygiene. The most thing impressed with were the entertainment team 1 lady 1 man, they were excellent with every age group. If travelling with young children it is an excellent, service very child friendly, very child orientated, with entertainment team, and dinning area, high chairs kids own buffet bar.overall very pleasant stay at The Roc Oasis. Also noticed that all guests respected the cleansiness and didn,t drop fag ends or litter around.

Stayed all inclusive at the Roc Oasis during the very last week of the season with my wife and grandson. We can't believe the hotel is only 2/3 star as everything from the food to maid service was excellent, and Greta was icing on the cake, as she was fantastic with the kids and had time for everyone, really made you feel important, despite this also being her last week at the hotel.

The town was extremely quite with many local businesses already shutdown for the winter, so other than catch a bus to neighbouring towns or visit various small beeches and coves, there was very little to do. The quadricycles from the ASDA (in name at least) store opposite were fun, but damn hard work. Well worth doing to get around the town a little quicker, but unless you're young and athletic (we're definitely not), be prepared for a little pain on the inclines.

We would visit again, but sad to hear that the hotel will only be available through a French holiday company from next season, though I suppose you will be able to book directly with the hotel if you are prepared to be vastly outnumbered by the French. If you do go out of season, definitely hire a car.

Room Tip: On the last day, directions to the different blocks were being taken down, so not sure if the room n...

We stayed at the Roc Oasis in Sept 2013 and had a fantastic holiday. The apartments were clean and provided all the essentials - we generally like to laze by the pool/beach all day so it was perfect for our needs. We even had a sea view! The swimming pool was great (although on the chilly side) and there was never the usual fight for sunbeds on a morning. In terms of location we couldn't have wished for anything more central, just a 2 minute walk takes you to the lively resort centre of Cala'n Blanes where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. All in all a great holiday and wouldn't hesitate to visit in the future.

This Hotel as gained the WOW factor from us,just back food catered for everybody and was very enjoyable sometimes not as warm as we would like but there was a microwave to heat up a little more, drinks A OKAY all the way up to till 11pm every night, rooms very clean and cleaned 3 times in our 7 day stay, we had great time with Greta the Annimation girl on last day she even joined us all in the pool for water polo, she was great with kids. so there you have it the hotel was great.

NOW the other bits to all
You cannot buy cigarettes on the planes coming in, nearest shops in Cittrudella a few KM away. Cigarettes are 10 euro cheaper per sleeve at TABACS than the airport. Car Hire from a local service to the right of the hotel 63 euros 3 days fully insured and run by english girl.
the whole resort and other resorts are slowly closing down ruining the charecter of the Island due to travel companies making hotels go ALL INCLUSIVE soon there wont be anywhere open. We loved this holiday and would return weather was fantastic for October just shame area was closing for winter before the Hotel shuts.

Room Tip: dont go for sea view 10 euros extra a day.

As I had not been to Menorca before, and we wanted a quiet break. So we booked a last minute deal .
On arrival, the staff were extremely helpful, and nothing seemed too much trouble.
It was towards the end of the season so we had a choice of apartments, so chose next to the smaller pool.
The apartments are tired and in need of bringing up to date, but were comfortable.
They are very geared up for kids and have plenty for the kids to do.
Food; Breakfast; brilliant mixture of usual continental & English (English Sausages!!)
Lunch/Dinner: always a good choice of Salad etc, Soup, Paella ! mixture of Spanish & English dishes freshly cooked. Plenty of desserts and fresh fruit.
We were fully inclusive so Beer, Wine ,Spirits, Tea , Coffee, hot Chocolate all on tap to help yourself.
Resort was very quiet, but that was because of the time of year, and I imagine it is a lot more lively in season.
Every bar is family friendly with bouncy castles etc for the kids.
Lots of places to eat if you fancy a change from the apartment food
We do recommend getting out and about, as the local bus service is very good & cheap.
And no rickerty old buses but plush coaches.
A trip to the City of Cuitadella, only 1.60 euros on the bus.
A beautiful city with lots of shops and a stunning marina. Theres also a market on Fridays & Saturdays.
Beaches: There are several beaches in walking distance, but the nearest, right next to apartments is a beautiful little cove with a small friendly beach bar & toilets and crystal clear sea.
All in all had a fab time, and would go back another time

We stayed from the 28th September to the 5th October and were AI. On arrival the receptionist was welcoming. We asked for a quite room as we have a 3 and 1 year old. Our apartment was in block 5 facing the Binimar. We couldn’t open our windows until midnight because of the noise coming from Binimar hotel.

The apartments were basic but had everything you needed but could definitely do with a good clean and some updating. We had a problem with ants which we reported to Reception and it was dealt with quite quickly. There are also no walls between the balconies/terraces which felt very cosy when our neighbours were out. We also had to hire fans at 20 Euros for the week because there is no air con.

The Restaurant was ok; breakfast was definitely the best meal of the day. Lunch and Dinner were prity much the same. At the beginning of the week there was defiantly more choice then half way through the week the children’s and adults buffet were mixed together as were the salads and puddings. The Drinks were fine, but I do like to drink out of a glass at meal times instead of a plastic cup.

The animation team worked hard and had their favourites. Daytime Activities consisted of Darts, Water polo, Rifle Shooting, Archery, Water aerobics, Yoga, and Kids club. We didn’t take part in these.

Evening entertainment- Mini Disco (which my little ones really enjoyed) film quiz ,bingo, magic show and parrot show. The magic show was quite poor but the highlight was when she nearly fell through the curtain!!

The surrounding area was nice enough there is a small beach behind the hotel which was full of jelly fish. We did visit two other beaches and they were full of Jelly fish as well. It’s the first time that we have not been into the sea when we have been on holiday, so this was disappointing. Across from the hotel there are a few supermarkets selling everything you need. Jimmy Hills area was popular and we ate out a few times at Haiti and Espiri which was nice.

We caught the bus to Cuitadella this was 1.60 Euros each way. The bus was full but a kind gentleman gave his seat up for me to sit with the baby my 3yr old was left to stand for 20 Minutes! But thats the English for you!!

After speaking with other people we definitely paid more than we should of. We will definitely not return, there are much nicer AI hotels around. This is definitely a 2*

We stayed here last July,2 adults and 2 kids aged 13 and 11. We were selfcatering but we did try the dinner in the restaurant a couple of times and it was fine,a typical buffet dinner. We had no problems with it.Across the road from reception.literally a 1 minute walk, is the "Forum Restaurant" which I would recommend for breakfast, lunch or dinner...There are 3 supermarkets all within a 3 minute walk from reception and the main street of the resort is about a 5 minute walk. The water park is on the main street too....Cala"n Blanes square is about a 3 minute walk (through "Jimmy Hills!) and there is free evening entertainment there every night from 9pm, mostly tribute acts..."Abba" and "The Jackson 5" were well worth seeing...brilliant!....The apartments are typical 3 star with a good size balcony but the added bonus was the entertainment team..wow!...Greta and Veronica were tireless and really gave everything to make sure kids and adults had a great time around the pool without being too pushy if you did not want to get involved. If you have kids you can be sure they will have a great time in this kids club from morning right up to the kiddies disco at 8pm.....The main pool is big with a good sized shallow end and also has a lifeguard on duty. The other pool is a bit smaller but much deeper..We had an apartment facing the main pool which was great for hopping in and out of the pool....We had a fantastic holiday here and we are already thinking about going back here again next year!!

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms facing the main pool are great for hopping in and out of the pool.
