Just got back from a week of sunshine up to 48 degrees in the sun in menorca, stayed at the Hi cala n Bosch hotel, which is 3 star but could easily be a 4 star...The food is really nice and some dishes are cooked in front of you, but plenty choice and you wont go hungry, drinks are very generous too.... expect an expanding waistline.
The thing that you notice the most is the cleanliness of the island and the hotel, the island is very green and flowery with dry stone walls in abundance surrounding feilds and woods with sheep horses and cows, very beautiful view on tranfer... Rooms are cleaned daily, very impressed with that, the hotel is not overlooked and if you manage to get a pool/seaview room , which if you request on booking they did honour, it is breathtaking views.
The upmost suprise was the beach, on your door step, walk in up to your neck and you can still see the bottom it is so clear and clean, the bay generates waves which is great fun for all, it gets busy not suprising as its so beautiful and very theruputic and great for snorkling, lovely white fish....There is no fighting for sunbeds at the pool there are plenty but buy your own umbrella, there about 8 euro as there are not many at the pool and its great for the beach as you pay for sunbeds there.
The entertainment staff are very friendly and hardworking and fun, we made some lovely friends, there is a friendly atmosphere at the hotel throughout... the evening entertainment is shared between outside acts coming in and the entertainment staff, prepare to be entertained and have fun, they are so funny.
The bus to cuitidella is just outside the hotel, it is a 20 min air con ride for 1.85 euro one way, it is again beautiful lots of history and magnificent churches and quaint cafes and cobbled streets and unusual shops, and a magnificant harbour, dont miss the icecream shop, pishtasio icecream yum.....
This is an all inclusive hotel only, but it is good value for money, no complains and the amount of people we spoke to who return year after year, says it all....... enjoy

Room Tip: seaveiw and pool view are on the same side, request at time of booking, well worth it

we stayed at hotel cala n bosch in resort of the same name . on arrival we were seen to pretty quickly and were in our room without any fuss . the hotel is located right beside the lovely little beach in the cove .and was very handy . shops and bars and restaurants were within 2 or 3 mins walk . around a lovely marina . hotel was clean and tidy . with rooms cleaned daily . fresh towels every day also . food was quite nice and always something for everybodys tastes. beer was san miguel and my only gripe was it was served in small plastic cups and not a pint glass . entertainment was ok but geared more towards familys with kids . we stayed all inclusive for a week and it was excellent value in my opinion . and i would go back again as it is a lovely resort .

Room Tip: we had a room at the front of the hotel with nice views of both the marina and the sea , really quit...

we stayed in this hotel in may this year, we found it very nice, staff friendly, location excellent and we, in the main had a very good holiday. we have delayed our review to see if during the season there was any reference to a problem we had with one of the entertainers, unforunatly we have forgotten his name but he ran the archery as part of his duties and when we were there he ran it in a very dangerous way, we took it up with the manager at the time but got no responce so upon returning home we contacted the main company who were very helpful and said they would contact the hotel and look into having this young man retrained. as no reference has been made about similar problems we hope that action was taken and every one had a safe holiday. Again excellent hotel

Just got back from our first trip to Menorca and we have fallen in love with it. It really is such a beautiful place and this hotel is very underated. Yes you get what you pay for but come on..... the hotel is practically on the beach and the facilities are second to none.
We found all the staff really helpful.
The check in was smooth, quick and pleasant.
Rooms were average size, only draw back was there was not much space for clothes etc and as there were 4 of us caused some problems!
The kids (6 and 12) had bunkbeds and they loved them.
Room was very clean, cleaned and tidied every day, towels changed each day.
Food was a bit repetitive as we stayed for 14 days, but there was always something we found to eat (put on a few more pounds with the puddings!) My husband loved the full cooked breakfasts!!
The pool does get very crowded in August, but hey youve got the sea too, so we alternated.
There was always a sunbed to be found by the pool, even after lunch although if you want an umbrella I think you have to be up at 5 am!!!! and yes the British are worse for doing that.. we watched them!
Lots of Italians here, most of whom were fine, but some quite rude and arrogant but hey so are some of the british, so didnt spoil it for us.
Take a trip to the local water park, its a bit expensive for a family but we spend all day there and the restaurant food is lovely.
We took a trip to Cituadella and the Cathedral, the place is very romantic at night and has a lovely market just off the harbour.. well worth a visit and only 3.70 Euro return.
The train trip was lovely but we paid 28.00 Euros for a round trip for 4 of us and I didnt really feel it was worth the half hour, but we enjoyed it anyway.
The park just across the bridge - Goody Goody is fab for kids and keeps them well entetained while you enjoy a drink - they are very laid back though and its lovely.
Take a trip on the boat too, its a fab 3 and a half hours out with a stop at a local beach, we went with Amigos and apart from the choppy sea (was a bit of a wild day!) it was worth the money... they do have lots of nudist beaches on the way round though (keep the kids eyes shut as they have full frontal men!!!)
Enjoy the holiday... we hope to go back next year

Spent a lovely week here with the family, couldn't ask for a better location practically on the beach. The All Inclusive was good value for money, the food and drinks very good. Just a 3 minute walk to The Marina which we did most evenings, with lots of resturants, bars and a Shopping Centre. Plenty of rides for the little ones and Goody Goody Park.
All in all a perfect place to go with younger children.
