Did enjoy the stay. I do suggest SUPERIOR accomodation. The reception is open 24 hr. I did appreciate expecially Mrs. Stanka, always with a smile on her face and never tiered to help you. I highly reccomend those apartments, perfect location near everything restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy, beach, bus stop. Same people complaint about the furniture, I do not agree, because they are extremly functional and give the space for your stuff. Other complaint about wi-fi or safe, but they do not take in consideration that those are APARTMENT and not a hotel.

Room Tip: Please, STADARD accomodation

Returned on Thursday from a lovely week. Got off on a rocky start as the hotel was fully booked (booked our holiday back on March) was transferred to Marina Gardens and to be honest for two nights it was ok. Once back in Roc Lago the Manager couldn't do enough to help us, upgraded to half board, free wifi, drinks vouchers, safety deposit box and kept our room till we got picked up at 14.30 all for free. The only negative was the beds they were awful, sleeping on the floor may well have been comfier. We would definitely return.

Just returned yesterday and am wishing we were still there! As everyone has noted the apartments aren't the height of luxury but they aren't claiming to be and they are clean, smart and the beds and sofa beds are really comfortable. Perhaps it would have been nice to have four knives though - 1 each, instead of the three we had between 4 of us! We did have ants but one big dose of Raid borrowed from Reception pretty much sorted it, and to be honest it was more a minor niggle than a problem.

Housekeeping service much more regular than we expected and thorough. We had a couple of minor niggles when we first arrived and the staff sorted them out happily and without hesitation.

Location wise it is fantastic - really central to the shops and Marina with all its restaurants. Our favourite restaurant was Bahia, staff were such fun and the food was amazing. Close second was El Pato. Wouldn't recommend Piccola - came out of there still hungry! We had an apartment overlooking the Marina and the pool. It was great for us because our children were involved in the entertainment each night so the noise didn't matter, but to be honest it was quiet by about 11 round the pool and 12 at the Marina. We got to know people staying on the other half, in a standard apartment and they were more than happy with it, there is another pool there, the same size as the one at the superiors and they said it was lovely and peaceful.

The beach is about a ten minute walk. It is a bit crowded but the sea is clear and warm and the sand near the sea great digging sand. Sunbeds and umbrellas are 9 Euros each which seems a bit steep if you're only there a couple of hours but if you're there for the day it's fine. If not there's always some room to lay on the sand.

The entertainment team of Drago, Anna and Susie were brilliant, full of energy and spoke English (as well as many other languages) well, and worked so hard at engaging people and were there most of the day and all evening. The evening were great fun, with the mini disco, bingo and entertainment although there is a risk that by staying 2 weeks as we did that it can be a touch repetitive (a roller skating parrot is fun the first time but not so much the second!).

It is definitely a resort for families with young children, I wouldn't want to stay there as a couple or with teenagers over about 15. We found the atmosphere really friendly whilst we were there, the English people particularly bonding and getting to know one another. I don't think we would go for two weeks again though - purely because after ten days the children were getting a bit bored with a beach/pool/Waterpark rotation and once we'd done the Cuitadella we felt we'd exhausted the options that didn't involve paying for an excursion or hiring a car.

The free access to the Waterpark through Jet2 was a huge bonus - we went there 5 times. It's big enough to entertain the kids but not so huge you can lose them. The lifeguards there are very on the ball and strict so it's really safe. If we had had to pay we would probably only have gone once to be honest as it is pricey but when it's included in the deal it's fabulous.

The staff in reception, the restaurant and bar are friendly and really helpful. We had breakfast there each day and the food was plentiful, varied and delicious. Couldn't comment on the bar snack or evening meals at the hotel as we didn't have them.

All in all we had a fabulous time and are seriously considering booking to go again next year - several people we met were on return visits, including one on their 5th and already planning to return.

Room Tip: If you have very young children don't choose an apartment with a pool or Marina view because the...

Just got back from 9 nights at Roc Lago. Some of the reviews on here are very harsh, we really enjoyed it. Not quite sure why some people seem to expect red carpets and champagne receptions from 3* package holidays, but don't let the professional moaners put you off this place. We flew with Jet2, no problems at all with flights or transfers, very smooth.

Rooms are basic but clean, as others have said if you want 5* luxury then you'll pay a lot more for it. We were on the 3000s side of the road in a superior two bedroom apartment, maids came most days with fresh towels and to clean. No problems at all with ants, maybe we were just lucky. Pool not the biggest but fine for the kids to play in, fairly deep though. We were self catering and the resort is ideal - loads of places to eat within 5 minutes walk, prices reasonable. Meals and dessert for 4 of us including a bottle of wine usually came to about 55/60 euros. Bahia, Mr Jaume and the Chinese restaurant Shanghai all good, free Wi-Fi at Shanghai too. Plenty of shops 2 minutes away to stock up on water, etc.

Beach is small but lovely and safe for the kids, no more than a 10 minute walk from Roc Lago. You don't have to buy a sun lounger if you don't want to, but if you do then surprisingly they're not free. I for one was livid at the local population's attempt to earn a living, and pointed out the error of their ways in no uncertain terms.

The best part about Roc Lago for our kids (10 and 8) was the free entry to Aquarock. It's 5 minutes walk away and fantastic - 4 big slides, a wave pool, smaller slides and a splash pool for little ones and a really nice, big pool to swim in. Plenty of attentive lifeguards and a decent menu if you want to eat there. It never got very busy and there was barely any queuing for the slides. Loungers are 3 euros for the day but there are grassy areas to put your towels down on too if you don't want to pay. We went there a lot as the kids loved it, and when it's free you don't feel you have to spend all day there.

The Roc Lago entertainment team are brilliant. Games by the pool in the daytime for the kids and adults, although nobody is pressured to join in, it's a very relaxed atmosphere. Disco for the kids in the evening, daft games like bingo and quizzes too. Anna, Suzie and Drago are all great fun with the kids and it was hard work getting ours to bed, they were having such a good laugh. It's a real family place in a family resort - if your kids want fun, they'll find it here. Staff were all friendly and helpful too. We would definitely recommend Roc Lago and Cala'n Bosch.

Myself and my partner stayed for 2 weeks at the end of July.
After reading some of the reviews, we were alittle dubious.. We needn't have been, Lovely pool, Lovely apartment, excellent staff!
I agree some places were tired around the edges, but you aren't paying 5* so why would you expect to receive it??
Only went self catering, so cannot comment on the food, but it always smelt lovely.
4-5 is HAPPY HOUR!! 2 drinks for the price of one on most of the drinks.
We paid for the upgrade so our room over looked slightly the pool and the bedroom over looked the marina, I fell in love <3
A quick 2 minute walk and you are at the marina, lots of bars and restaurants just a stones throw away. This was my third trip to Cala 'n' Bosch and WHEN we come back we will be absolutely staying at this hotel.
Cala 'n' Bosch is definitely a family resort, thoroughly recommended.

Room Tip: Definitely pay for the upgrade! The views are stunning!

Just returned from a two week family holiday at Lago Park. We booked th holiday through Jet2 and could not fault it in any way at all. Smooth transfer and a very quick check in. All staff on site are helpful and friendly and go out of their way for you that includes maintenance, cleaners, bar staff not forgetting the Animation team who were absolutely fantastic, our kids age 4 and 6 criend buckets on the last night becuse they didn't want to come home.

The location of the apartments is perfect and central to all the bars and restaurants and the lovely marina. Our home for the fortnight was on 'the other side of the road' so we didn't get a marina view but we were happy as it meant we were away from the noise if needed. There are shops just over the road so we bought fresh bread and lunch and ate back at our apartment most days but the snack bar at the pool is very reasonable and we did have pizza on a couple of occasions.

The aparments are dated and probably in need of a little TLC but we have no complaints, on arrival they upgraded us to two beds instead of one so not sure how we would have gone on in a smaller apartment but the two bed was a lovely size. It was cleaned regularly and towels every other day.

The animation team at the time of our holiday was great, our kids loved them all however this was changing so not sure what the replacement team will be like. The best night for us was the pool party but if you're not into loud house music then it wouldn't be for you but for us it was great. We went to the mini disco most evenings and called on our way back to the evening entertainment which seemed ok but we like to venture out for our meal after the mini disco.

The best restaurant in our opinion is El Pato, we ate here 4 times in the fortnight. our worst meal was at Fiesta - it looks fab with the kids play area etc but the food is awful. PIccola and Bahia are also very good. Mr Juame - very slow service and the food wasn't that good, us and a table of spanish boys waited over an hour for our food while they served tables around us that had arrived after us so again wouldn't bother with here either.

We caught the bus to Citudella which was nice but not really recommended with young kids as there is so much to see, what we did see was lovely but we couldn't see the whole place.

We went to the beach on our second to last day (as we thought we should) but soon came to realise that we hadn't missed much really - it just wasn't for us. The sea was very rough, jelly fish churned up and the sunbed hire was 18 euros for the day. We were glad we had spend our holiday around the pool.

Almost forgot the added bonus of free acess to the water park, if this is not included in your deal expect to pay a fortune to get in - not worth the money but definately worth it if it is free, we went three times. The weekend when we went wasn't as busy as we expected it to be.

In all a super holiday, if you want 5 star luxury you ain't going to get it here but if you just want somewhere to lay your head (the beds aren't the comfiest!) that is clean, go for it. We were not disappointed.

Room Tip: Rooms over the road are quieter and have their own pool area, rooms in the main complex overlook the...

Only stayed here one night whilst walking around Menorca - out of the 12 hotels/establishments we visited this was the worst. Basic apartment, bad atmosphere, plastic sunbeds, deposit required for TV remote (?), welcome letter was list of rules, evening meal awful - pork covered in what looked like bright yellow custard? This was also the only place we stayed in that asked us to pay on check in rather than check out! Much better resorts and accommodation to be found everywhere else on Menorca as this really is an exceptionally beautiful island.
