Description: Sellada is a family taverna with local specialities in a cosy veranda. You have to queue in order to get a table in the peak dinner hours! We do our best so that you are happy with our dishes & service; and, so that we can guarantee the quality of our food we have chosen to keep our restaurant small. Authentic Greek cuisine with fresh local products & daily menu at the best value for money!

Was not disappointed with this restaurant, which is family run, and typically presents a traditionally Greek menu. Seemed to be low key, but there was plenty of people in, and they are obviously used to a full house, as we didn't have to wait long for our lovely fayre.

“Authentic home cooking, good atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2014

Lovely family restaurant with friendly owners and staff. We had the sea bream, tradition lamb dish, moussaka and chicken souvlaki. All were excellent and freshly cooked. The restaurant has a good atmosphere, quaint hand written menu with lots of home cooked choices. We were offered drinks on the house when we asked for the bill and there was no problem when I didn't have change of a 50 Euro note. The prices are very reasonable. Just lovely.

“Wonderful food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014

One of the best Greek meals I have ever eaten (and I love Greek food). The gyros was lovely and juicy and the moussaka was amazing. The meletini was delicious and must be tried! On top of this the service was so friendly and they made you feel very welcome- would definitely recommend to anyone and would come back if I could!

“Excellent Again”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014 via mobile

Back here for the fifth year running- it's a must. The most authentic Greek Taverna in Kamari. Welcoming staff that now includes the family's son. We chose tomato balls for starters, followed by the best kokkonisto I have ever tasted. My wife had chicken with Santos wine and this was also first class. Half a litre of Retsina at less than four euros meant we had another one. Crisp and cold as it should be.
A complimentary ouzo to finish with meant another lovely evening was fulfilled.
Hope to return again next year...... Or maybe tomorrow night!

“Delicious home cooked food & a welcoming atmosphere.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

We stumbled across this place one night and noticed it was really busy, we managed to grab a table for two and was delighted with the food and service. The hand written menu's suggested authentic greek cuisine while the prices were amazingly cheap, 6 Euros for stuffed tomatoes and 4.50 Euros for 0.5l of excellent house wine.

We went back to Sellada on our last night as we enjoyed the food so much. The tzatziki was arguably the best we had all holiday and even enjoyed the free ouzo shot at the end of the meal! Very attentive staff, who are all obviously from the same family, and would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Don't leave Santorini without eating here!!
