I would recommend this property to anyone. The service was as good as it gets. It is clean, the food is fabulous, the pools (all 4 of them) are beautiful, the rooms are a good size, the location is close to the beach but allows you to meander through the streets on the way (5 minute walk). The staff really made our stay here stupendous. So thoughtful, helpful, friendly, and on it goes. I have stayed in many gorgeous spots and the Kastelli Hotel ranks amoung the best.

The hotel is in Kamari and literally 5 mins from the beach, a huge plus! There are multiple pools, one is large and close to the restaurant and bar. When we arrived i was disappointed that they gave us a king instead of 2 beds. They didnt have the correct room available until the next day. HUGE inconvenience!!! They did apologize but we called ahead to ensure they set it up correctly and it was still wrong. The breakfast was included and was delicious, dinner was amazing. The Aegean pasta was sooooo good! Also the staff really tried to fix any issues and made sure whatever you needed was taken care of.

Two week stay at this wonderful private hotel. Have to second what everybody has said, for service, cleanliness, food and the amount of space this hotel has, it's a complete maze.
Breakfast after a good few days gets a bit same old same old, but there are some wonderful healthy options if you don't want bacon, sausage and eggs every morning!
Only a short walk to shops, restaurants and beach front all flat so fit for everyone.
Had one of the massage therapy's done as soon as we checked in and have to say, set us up for a real relaxing holiday.
One thing to note regarding money exchange, get it done from where your traveling from, in my case UK, there are only 2 places in the whole of Kamari that exchanges money and that's Kamari Tours, or you will have to to travel to Thira to exchange, then work out when the banks are open. Plus the rate is actually better back home as they will charge 2% commission! Don't forget this tip, I made the error by just exchanging enough to get by for a couple of days, then Nearly panicked when I couldn't find anywhere local. There are a number of cash points should you require them, if so go for the conversion rate when taking money out, you get more for you buck!
Do the volcano tour well worth it, we had this rather posh Austrian, come pirate guide to assist our boat, and he was full of knowledge, rather a cool dude.
We looked at a lot of hotels around Kamari and stayed in a boutique hotel a couple of years ago, but Kasteli gives you everything you need and more...plus free wifi, although can be slow at times, depending on number of devices connected....enjoy.

Room Tip: Ground floor near main pool..

This hotel is the best that we have ever stayed in. It really is a luxury gem!!
The minute we arrived we were greeted by a lovely guy and a golf buggy which took us and our bags down to reception, he then carried our bags to our room. We were given drinks and then a tour of the stunning hotel!!
Our room was incredible, so spacious, so clean and so very perfect over looking one of the smaller pools. The bathroom was lovely and the hairdryer (which are normally rubbish on holiday) was brilliant!! I have never known maids to take so long cleaning rooms.
The reception staff were always so helpful and even assisted my partner in booking a table in beautiful Fira to propose to me!! (I said yes!)
All of the staff we're helpful and friendly but, one member of staff in particular called George was an absolute delight always chatting to us and he made us feel so special after getting engaged providing us with celebratory cocktails!
The 5 minute walk to the many restaurants was always enjoyable and we didn't have 1 bad meal in Kamari!! We especially loved Summer Time restaurant but will leave a seperate review for that!
When getting ready to leave the hotel manager shook our hands and thanked us for staying at Kastelli and gave us 2 hats to take as a reminder of our wonderful holiday.
We will be back one day and I can't wait until we do!! An unforgettable week!!

At first, I was a little concerned that we were so far from Oia or Fira, but that evaporated when we got to the hotel. Kamari is actually a great place to experience some peace and quiet, and the village has everything you need within 100 yards of the hotel, with a city bus stop (1.6 euros and 15 minutes to Fira) 10 feet from the hotel door.

The hotel itself was amazing, and more than worth the extra we spent with the travel agency to upgrade from their usual spot. When we arrived, Adonis (the hotel manager) brought us some fresh juice and sat us down in the lobby to go over our goals for the stay, then took us on a tour of the facilities--all of which were impeccably clean and well-maintained. He then showed us to our room (we were upgraded to a suite by the main pool), and he and the staff took care of anything we needed--including a number of rebookings of local tours, due to some last-minute weather changes.

The breakfasts were great, and the menu at the hotel restaurant was solid and very price-competitive. On our last day, our plane left Santorini at 10:45 PM, and Adonis was nice enough to offer the pool and other hotel facilities (including showers) to us for the entire day after checkout so we could continue to enjoy the island. It was a really fantastic experience, with no regrets.

Room Tip: The rooms with a view of the main pool are beautiful. Also, call ahead for a transfer from the dock...

Wow- this was a fabulous hotel. It's luxury and great service from the minute you arrive- we were upgraded to a mezzanine suite over looking the pool. Not everyone could manage the stairs I guess but it was a lovely room with a great bed and bedding and a lounge area downstairs leading to an immaculate view over the main pool.

There are another three pools on the site we liked the one in the garden. The tennis was great too, service with a smile and a bottle of chilled water and towels- just for tennis !

We stayed half board and the food was pretty good, four courses for about 22 euros if you booked at the hotel and again the service was personal and discreet - wine quite pricey but that's Santorini

The only thing the hotel lacked was a main bar if that's the sort of thing you like but the main strip had so many classy bars it didn't matter.

One of the few hotels we will definitely go back to but if I could ask them to change one thing it would be to give smokers there own defined area - loved it despite selfish smokers !

We have just returned from a week in Santorini and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The hotel itself has beautiful grounds which are very well kept and this alone makes the hotel very peaceful and picturesque, making our stay very relaxing.
However , we both run hotels back in the uk and I could not give this hotel a 5 star as there are too many things lacking. Little touches are completely absent from the room;
bath robe, slippers, tea and coffee making facilities. Also the toiletries are very basic. This was very disappointing for us because all the other SLH hotels we have stayed / worked in have provided us with all these things.
The bathroom was very dated and not very luxurious, but the main problem was the shower. It flooded the entire room then leaked under the door into the bedroom everytime we used it. There was no screen/ curtain so everyday we used 5 towels to mop up the water. It was so dangerous, we could have slipped and had a serious injury due to the amount of water on the marble/ tiles. Also we had a lot of ants on the floor every day and ended up using our own insect repellent to get rid of them. This was the most disappointing part of our stay considering we had paid extra for a superior room the bathroom did not reflect the price at all.
Breakfast was good, nice and varied with plenty for everyone to choose from on the buffet.
Staff at the hotel are functional but not personal, especially round the little pools. We never got asked if we wanted a drink/ menu/ lunch the whole week we were there. No one asked us on check out if we had enjoyed our stay ect.. It was all quite impersonal.
Wifi is temperamental, barely ever works but that wasn't too much of a problem for us.
All in all our stay was relaxing and we enjoyed our week in Santorini but couldn't help feeling disappointed that we had paid over £1200 for a hotel which in out opinion was no more than a 3 star.
