Very good hotel. The workers there are very nice and helpful. The restaurant is great too! Try the eggplant salad, homemade and lovely. Very warm atmosphere, our room was so clean and had a gorgeous balcony that was so nice it made you feel like not going out at night and just retreating back to the hotel to enjoy the balcony., the only reason why am not giving it 5 stars is our shower was not very good,, so if you a very peticular about good showers, but that may have just been in our room. I am not sure if the other rooms had the same shower situation, but it was very small, the shower head is not properly placed so you have to hold it for the water to fall straight on your head and body. Also, bring your own soaps and shampoos because the ones they provide do not lather at all, which is especially hard when you have salt water and pebbles all over you from the beach. But can't complain much about that with the prices and management being very great! great location, bust stop and markets very near, water insanely close. Overall great!

A small but very nice hotel at a really good price. The owner and the staff is very nice and customer oriented. The rooms are small with a nice balcony. Cleaned every day and fresh towels + bedlinnen. The price included breakfast witch is nice and offers everything you need.
I had a room on the backside that faced a lovely garden and it´s so quiet, you cant believe that you are in such a central location.
2 Supermarkets, atm and car rental is just a few meters away and the beach just around the corner.
For the first time in 10 years in Santorini i had a comfortable bed!

I can really recommend this hotel!

Stayed for a Week 29th June booked via OLA Holidays. We were a family of 6 of various ages from 17 to 84. The hotel is exactly 11 minutes from the airport. We arrived at the airport and had not booked a taxi and was expecting to pay 50 euros for two taxis. We were touted by a bus driver who took us all for 30 euros. Really decent minibus as well. The hotel doesn't look much from the outside. But it extends backwards and has a lovely sunken area at the back with umbrella and chairs which backed onto one of our apartments and we spent a lot of time there as a family getting drunk.

The manager met us on arrival and spoke great english and we were in our rooms within a few minutes. There was a slight cock up as we were self catering and ended up with only one self catering apartment but the other rooms had fridges and we managed to get the owner to provide kettles and we all shared the kitchen so no problem. not sure whether that was his fault or OLA holidays but it did not spoil our enjoyment at all.

The hotels is small and compact with only 18 rooms. The three rooms we had were very basic but very comfortable the usual Greek style. They were marked as 2* but were clearly at least 3*. They had comfortable beds, balcony and air conditioned. They were spotless and the maids were in everyday and did a great job. There was no charge for the aircon and each room had a safe which was charged at 1 euro per day hardly expensive by any standard. Also clean towels every 3 days and clean sheets twice in the week. All paintwork was clean and no dust looked like they had just been freshly painted.

Outside the hotel is an all a pedestrianised area leading down to the beach. I paced this out at 62 yards. Next door is a cash machine and car hire place. The hotel manager sorted me out a 4 door Nissan Micra for one day for 30 euros and 5 euros fully comp insurance. The island is so tiny you only need a car for one day as you can drive one end to the other in 30 minutes.

The nearest supermarket is around the corner and had a good range of stuff. The resort is lovely but the beach is poor for walking on, The volcanic sand is rough and you need jelly shoes or diving shoes, plus being black it's damn hot.

The hotel has wifi for a couple of euros per day or I booked 2 hours for 5 euros which also roamed to other bars in the area. Very fast as well. I could download my emails and stuff and less than a minute then cut it off compose my return mail and send it in seconds. Only used less than a hour in the week as it was simple to log on and off and then roam to the free bars using the same connection.

The hotel has a little bar and restaurant which offered breakfast for 4 euros. Bread cereal cheese etc. Quite good. They also did snacks and a few decent greek items salads etc. All at a average price. Bella the tiny dog was always around the kids loved her.

The owner and his family are really trying hard and have impressed me. The place is clean tidy with lovely plants and flowers all over.

Don't get me wrong the greeks are there to make money and the island is expensive but those little things make a big difference. 10 mins from the airport, Free air con for example and also free toilet rolls so for the money why stay anywhere else on the island. The only down side was no pool. But the sea is so close. We did try other pools in the area but they are few and far between and due to the water shortage they don't like people using them from other hotels. But we found a couple who would let us if we purchased meals or drinks first.

The central location is fantastic the main bus stop is less than 30 yards away at the back of the hotel and a bus into the capital Thira takes 15 mins and costs 1.5euros with a bus every 20 minutes and they were all on time and stopped only twice with good aircon. They all looked virtually new buses.

I would stay here again and would certainly give this place an extra star. It was cheap and yet well above the standard I had expected for a cheap last minute holiday. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone else.

Room Tip: Back of hotels was peaceful and the gardens were lovely

Just feel the need to Praise 'Deano' (the Manager) and his helpful Mom and Dad who made our stay at this small but adequate Hotel on the edge of everything at 'Kamari' Santorini..
The Hotel lies at the end of a side road (Non Traffic) 2 minutes from the Beach and 'Front Strip' (Resturants, cobbled Streets etc !! ) and in my view perfectly situated !!

Deano made us comfortable from the 'Off', giving us many tips including taking the local Bus to 'Fira' and further and also a boat trip to Perissa, just round the next Bay.

He also arranged a Full day out ,taking in the Volcano with a very knowledgeable tour guide

Room Tip: Ask for top floor if you prefer a more private front balcony

We have just returned from a weeks holiday staying here and it is the prettiest and most welcoming place we have ever stayed for the price that we paid. You are made to feel like friends of the family immediately and this continued throughout our stay - nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room had more amenities than I have ever experienced in similar standards of accommodation in Greece and was cleaned THOROUGHLY to a high standard every day-the cleaning lady even hung our washing out and washed our pots for us! We got clean towels every other day and the bed linen was changed mid week.
The food and drinks that they serve in the lovely courtyard area at the front of the accommodation are homemade, lovely and very cheap compared to a lot of other places in Kamari. The location is also great, not right on the sea front so you feel on constant view to everyone that walks past but only a minutes walk away down a side road. The bus stop, bank and supermarket are all nearby too.

We stayed at Villa Kamari Star for about one week and never had anything to complain about! We enjoyed a very friendly atmosphere, nice and clean rooms, good service, fair prices and last but not least a helpful, communicative and simply nice family which runs this hotel. The house is located perfectly. It`s about 70 metres from the beach and the main mall, supermarkets around the corner, and all the other things you might need are located in a very short distance ( shops, agencies, pharmacy, laundry, etc ). This place is highly recommended for your trip to Santorini!
