“A lovely break from the norm”
Reviewed 27 September 2012

Gaia was a treat! We only went because of the terrific reviews the wine tasting received on TA, and we weren't disappointed. The only thing is that someone had posted on TA that if you purchase a bottle of wine that they'll deduct the 5 Euro wine tasting fee from your purchase, which we were told, was not the case. In any event, I purchased a bottle of the their red wine, which isn't cultivated in Santorini (the white is) and also the balsamic vinegar they produce. It was a lovely change of scenery as Gaia is on the water (just south of the airport).

“Wine Tour San Torini”
Reviewed 22 September 2012

It is very interesting to see how they grow the grapes in a Desert climate in San Torini so that the grapes dont die from dry heat. This boutique Winery produces some terrific wines and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that the grapes grown in San Torini are indigenous to the island and other world varietals are not grown here. You will not find Chardonnay, Savignon Blanc, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Cab Sav nor Zinfandel but some rather unique varietals only found in Greece! A great side trip!

“A really niche winery”
Reviewed 19 September 2012

A small vinery that has been in production for a little over 15 years. The host was very knowledgeable and quite charming. The wine tasting sessions were excellent.

Right by the beach, so an amazing experience

“Winery by the beach”
Reviewed 10 September 2012

It is easy to find - you can't miss it. The winery offers a tour at the winery and a wine tasting of 4 locally made wines for the price of 5 EUR per person. They produce only 100.000 bottles as they QUALITY is very important to them. They only produce white wine here in Santorini due to the weather and wind. Our guide, Konstantina was extremely knowledgeable and we enjoyed her presentation.
