I've have just got home having spent a week in this hotel. Like the very detailed English review before me this is a budget hotel but the feel of the place and the way in which it was ran by the lovely Angela and her team made it so much better. I over heard a conversation between her and another guess moaning that his wife didn't have a hair dryer in the room, so she kindly offered to lend her one of hers for the remainder of his stay!... So I felt that, that gave a very personal touch to the hotel as it shows they care about their guests. Plus she helped me with my transfers as my operator messed up!
My room (room 14) was very spacious with a large king sized bed it had a free fridge and air con which from what I heard other hotels charged daily usage fees for! The shower is a bit basic but if your careful with the hose you shouldn't flood the floor to badly! (See pics) the cleanliness of the hotel was fantastic. I saw absolutely no bugs or had any problems with mozzies!... But that maybe the time of year as you bound to get one or two? The room was a bit noisy as it was right by reception so you could hear people coming and going at breakfast and people chatting in general but this didn't bother me as I was either out or up anyway as breakfast is 0800-1000 daily. I'm sure if it was an issue and they were available I could of moved rooms, but you don't live in your room do you!
The main safe is behind the reception and the only key is with Angela so I was happy with the safety of my belongings.
The hotel is situated near the end of the strip close to where the boat pics you up to take you to perissa. It is surrounded by local shops, restaurants and the car park is only a few minutes walk away. The sea is directly in front of you with lots of sun beds to chose from which are free to either hotel or restaurant guests or you pay about €5 for daily... The hotel has no pool but you can use the sister hotel a short way down the road. This hotel didn't have any wifi connection either which in time I'm sure it will as its recently been done up but you can collect various wifi passwords all along the strip from the bars and restaurants and at their sister hotel with the pool so that wasn't an issue.
There are a steep set of steps leading up the the hotel so people thinking of staying here who have issues with steps should take this into consideration but their not that bad as you can see from the pictures. (The whole island in fact is very steep in places if you want to explore) other than that Kamari its self is very flat and nice to walk up and down.
I would return to this hotel and would happily recommend it to people if they want a low cost holiday stay.
