We've just had our meal here this evening (unlike on the beach, we were not dragged in by some desperate hawker) and we weren't disappointed. At the beginning of the holiday, we read that this restaurant was ranked 1 or 2 out of 100 restaurants but at one point we saw that it had dropped quite drastically to eighth place and we wondered why. After having had our freshly baked basket of bread, Caesar salad and delicious pizzas, we asked about the rankings and they mentioned a particular negative review which we later looked up. We were very surprised about the 2 star review one person wrote because he mentioned very slow service, bland food and nothing about the cheap bill. We actually found that the service was excellent, the food was immaculate and the value for money was very good compared to other restaurants on the island. As a nice little touch at the end, they gave us not the usual vin santo but a lovely gianduja chocolate selection (for which they later supplied the recipe). Worth a visit for sure: not just for the quiter location but also for the Italian food.
