Levante Beach Hotel
Ranked #42 of 75 Hotels in Kamari
Reviewed 1 September 2011

Dont believe everything you read thats all i can say. Myself and my partner have just returned from Levante hotel and i thought it was fantastic, the breakfast was continental ham, cheese, cereal, fruit juice, tea, coffee, chocolate cake , it was always fresh and topped up, for a small charge you could order cooked. It was served looking over the sea, perfect. Our room was basic but very clean, maid service seemed like it was daily as the room was always spot on. The bar area was clean fresh and airy with occasional entertainment and the pool was always kept clean and tidy. The location was ideal, 1 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. It was next door but 1 to the best bar ever The love boat, Fannos and his wife really do look after you but watch for them shots lol. If i went back here i would choose this hotel without a doubt.

Room Tip: There are limited sea view and pool view rooms but this really didn't matter to us, cleanliness...

Stayed as a couple for a week in August 2011. Late arrival was not a problem with friendly reception staff. Shown to our room, found it to be comfortable and very clean. Purchased, and had no problems with the air conditioning. Breaktfast was light but sufficient. Lovely views from upper deck where it was served. Spent most days poolside, only one occaision when sunbeds were not available, not a great problem though, as just stepped outside front of hotel onto the beach and sunbeds there. As with most greek bathrooms, shower is handheld with no curtain but wet floor drains away. A hook for the shower and maybe a squeezy on a broom would help. At periods of high demand shower reduced to a trickle, but wait and the pressure improves. Wide choice of restaurants and bars along pedestranised promanade directly outside hotel. Reasonable pricing at restaurants. Public bus stop is nearby and allows transport around island. Overall we really enjoyed the holiday and would return to Kamari and/or the hotel again

My wife stayed at the Lavante for one week in and found it to be a well presented hotel for its class. We requested a room with a pool/sea view and were allocated 1 of only 4 rooms that had pool/sea view on arrival. Our room (241) was very clean but basic inside and had everything in it that was advertised. We did have 1 or 2 cracked tiles in the loo but noting that would cause you any problems. The only downside to the room was the poor air conditioning that cost 5 euro per day and was preset at 25*and could not be changed up or down. Our room included breakfast which was very basic. It included bread, cheese, ham, watermelon, cake, tea, coffee and fruit juice, you also had the option to buy other food for a small price if you wanted.

The hotel itself is in a good location only 5 meters from the black sand and pebble beach where you can rent 2 sunbeds for 5 euro per day from the hotel. You also have a small pool in the hotel which was clean and well maintained with plenty of sunbeds around it if you don’t want to go to the beach. The hotel staff were both friendly and helpful and bar/restaurant area was fairly large and well presented with a large TV which was showing ESPN and Euro Sports and news channels throughout the day. The food in the hotel was of a good standard and reasonably priced compared with others in Kamari beach area.

Over all this hotel was good for the price we paid and we were not disappointed with the choice we made and would go back if the deal was right.

I guess from other reviews that there are some nice rooms in this hotel but be warned that there are also dingy run down rooms with broken shower fixtures and very old stained yellow toilets. Unfortunately this is the kind that we and other guests got.
They are awful and the poor state of them suggested that the owners cared little about the comfort of the guests which is a shame because the external part of the hotel and the bar are lovely airy and modern. The staff are lovely too. The owners really need to update those ground floor rooms which are in a very poor state. We won't be staying again unfortunately.

I have stayed at this hotel three times already and I hope to stay there agian twice this year.
It is in a perfect location, one minute to the beach, three minutes to the bus for Fira, and hence the rest of the island, also great access to shops, bars and restaurants.
The rooms are very well furnished, clean and comfortable, and the linen is changed every three days.
The Reception Staff are welcoming, pleasant and most helpful.
The Reception area was refurbished last year and there is now a facility for borrowing book in different languages.
The swimming pool is very well kept and is surrounded with sun loungers and umbrellas.
The breakfast area is beautifully located overlooking the sea, with both outdoor and covered areas. The breakfast itself is continental style, well presented and plentiful, with the option of having an English breakfast at a further cost.
The ladies who serve the breakfast and clean the rooms are pleasant and respectful.
The Bar at Levante is a most welcoming venue for a drink or a light meal at all times of day and night and is very well patronised. There is also service to the beach during the day. The Irish Bar is well worth a visit where you will receive a great welcome from Kosta and his staff and excellent food and drink!
I am looking forward very much to my holiday in June, 2011.

This was our second holiday at the Levante Beach Hotel. We loved the holiday, but since last year, the car park wich most balcony's face, has become very dusty as the car park is now playing host to a jeep and moter scooter base for hire. Unfortunately noise and dust all day and night long.
