My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks in May as we were going to a wedding. This hotel is ideally situated just over a small road from the beach and the breakfast balcony has stunning views. The rooms were small but comfortable and kept very clean.
The staff were very nice indeed and the service at the bar was efficient and courteous.
Breakfast was what you would have expected in Greece but it was nice and there was ample of it. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anybody and if we ever visited Kamari again this would be where we would stay.

I just spent 3 nights at Levante with 5 of my friends. We had 2 three person rooms. The rooms are simple and plain but that's to be expected considering the reasonable price. The bar is nice and the drinks are reasonably priced as well. The staff is very friendly and the location can't be beat.

My wife and I stayed here for a week, the hotel itself was at a great price and was in a fairly central location. The staff where friendly and the rooms basic but clean and comfortable enough considering you want to see the island and not stay in a room!!!. I would definitely stay at the Levante again breakfast was included and very reasonable. The bar was very good and the service exemplary. Their are a mass of restaurants on the beach front but head behind a little and you will find some real gems the Black stone near Mama Mia's was an excellent find. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back.

I visited this hotel in June for my neices wedding. There were 26 of us.

The rooms in the hotel were basic as in most greek hotels, but were clean and practical and the cleaners cleaned spotlessly every day.

The location of the hotel was amazing and you could not have asked for a better spot. As you walked to the bar/restuarant from the rooms and past the pool, this was situatied right on the prominade of the beach which was about 30 meters in front of the hotel. The views were stunning and you could sit in or outside the bar/restuarnt or by the beach and have food and drinks. From the other side you were in Kamari town where there were shops and places to eat so you were surrounded by all you needed. Just across the road fromt he hotel was the bus stop that took you to Thira the capital.

The hotel was laid back and family run and you felt that you were part of the family.

The menu was sufficient and international so something for everyone, and along the prominade you had a choice of many resturants and greek tavernas to choose from.

Santorini itself is not a cheap place but most of the restuarants including the hotel prices were pretty much the same. Around 10 euros for a lunch and around 12-20 euros for a main course.

The breakfast buffett was tasty and with cheeses, salami, bread, olives, cereals, juices etc and the view from the breakfast restuarant was stunning overlooking the mountain and the sea.

My only critisism of this hotel was that my room was right next to the laundry so i was often woken up by shouting as the women went about there work, but due to the amount of ouzo i drank this was not much of a problem. Also the fact that you had to pay 6 euros for a sunbed on the hotel beach seemed strange to me, unless the beach is private?

The service in the bar/ resturant was a little bit slack and you often had to go to the bar to be served and tables were oftern not cleared or even a menu brought to you. As i said it was a laid back place and this was a minor issue for me although i do think service is important on holiday but it would not be enough to deter me from another visit, and maybe just the greek laid back way, but service here could definatley be improved.

The staff were friendly and helpful and did a great job of my neices wedding buffett whcih was amazing. the food was delicious and we were all full after the starters as there was so much of it, and plenty of wine too.

I would love to visit santorini again and would definatley recommend this hotel and stay there myself again in the future.

Thank you all for a great holiday. I loved every minute of it. Denis you were great. Hope to see you again one day soon

Room Tip: Do not have a room next to the laundry

Me and my boyfriend chose the Levante for the destination of our first holiday being just the two of us, as I have been to many Greek Islands over the years and we both enjoyed a family holiday to Rhodes, and we made the right choice with Santorini! Firstly the location is the best on the island, the Levante is right in the middle of the strip and in my opinion has the best bar in Kamari. It is not overpriced and also if you are guests of the bar then they take brilliant care of you (we drank here every night before going out, and got a lot of free sambucca shots!)
The pool at the Levante was brilliant, quite cold but great to play bat and ball in and very refreshing, you do need to reserve sunbeds however when you go for breakfast, most people don't stay there all day so you will get one either in the morning or afternoon. Cocktails at the Levante are amazing, some of the best we had! Never ate here however as there is just too much choice elsewhere. A few mornings we decided to skip breakfast and opt for a lie in, as most restaurants sell breakfasts until 11am-ish on the strip and they're only 5euros for a cooked breakfast, hardly breaking the bank.
The rooms we also thought were brilliant for the price - although i don't know if i'd be saying that if i'd have stayed at the back of the property near the car park. Rooms were kept brilliantly clean and also we were surprised that there was always hot water! Kamari is quite lively at night time (with the Levante being one of the bars to stay open the latest, however don't worry about noise as the bar is at the very front with rooms at the back) however being quite young we decided to get the bus into thira a few nights. We found the most amazing bar/clubs and were so shocked that it was so lively in such a quaint town! The Two Brothers Bar (which has a shisha bar and all cocktails are 4euro) is excellent! Small but friendly with tonnes of greek teenagers and couples partying the night away. There are a few other bar/clubs down the streets but this was by far our favourite. Also bus is 2euro each and we paid 10euro/15euro in a taxi back to kamari.
We took the water taxi to Perissa on one day as we weren't too fond of Kamari beach - shingles and the waves were very choppy, and quite a few cigarette buds about - the water taxi also wasn't running on a few days as the sea was too choppy, maybe this has something to do with the position of kamari being infront of the cliff because Perissa was still as a pool? However we did travel 3-10 Sept but I doubt that made too much difference as the weather was in the 30's all week. Anyway, Perissa beach is fantastic, my advice walk further down the beach and put your towel down as they charge almost double for sunbeds & umbrellas than they do in Kamari. Perissa, we thought, also has the best gyros on the island!!!
We did the Thomas Cook Volcano tour which included transfers and took you to the sister island, and were almost persuaded to do the sunset tour by our rep but declined (you pay an extra 15 euros each to go to Oia and watch the sunset after the tour) the boat does drop those people off in Oia AND they give you the option to get off yourself, in which case you just have to arrange transport home which is one bus to thira (1euro) and a bus from thira to kamari (2 euros). I would highly recommend doing this as the bus picked up the sunset tourers around 15 mins after the sunset so much better to make your own way back later on! Myself and my boyfriend also watched the sunset in Thira at a rooftop bar one night, absolutely amazing! We sat overlooking the caldera with a bottle of wine for a good few hours before ending the night with gyros.
Overall this holiday was fantastic! Plenty to do in the daytime with all of the Thomas Cook tours and easy to get around the island yourself by bus! (its worth mentioning that all buses are like coaches, and are air conditioned!) We have said if we ever go back then we will stop in Thira as it really does have that air of luxury about the place with everything still being authentically greek. If you're used to holidaying in Greece then the Levante is perfect for you :)

Room Tip: We requested sea/pool view and were given a room at the front of the property (not with a view but a...

We said in our review for our stay in May that we hoped to return later in the year. We did just that. The staff at reception and the bar both gave us a great welcome. Quite often when you return to the same place you can be disappointed, but not in this case. Nothing here has changed - friendliness, cleanliness and overall a superb family run hotel. Will we return again? Most definitely YES. Yamas!!
