As many others have already said, this hotel is brilliant on all counts. It is spotlessly clean, Martha and Yiannis (the owners) are lovely people, the breakfasts by the pool with Martha and Anastasia are fantastic (help yourself from cereals, yogurt & honey, fruits, bread/toast, lovely jams made by Martha, fruit juice, tea and coffee, etc) and the rooms, also spotless, are really comfortable.

The hotel is about 100 metres from the beach. Don't use the first sunbeds you see when you get there. Turn left and use the ones in front of the Love Boat bar (about another 100 metres along the promenade). They're really comfortable, they're free, provided you buy a few drinks from the bar through the day, and the bar is run by a really nice family. Of course, you can stay round the pool or on the hotel's new roof terrace if you want.

Turn left out of the hotel and after about 50 metres you'll come to the bus stop (just around the next corner on the left) from where there is a brilliant local bus service to Thira and from there to anywhere else on the island. The buses are every 15 minutes during the day, every half hour later in the evening and it only costs €1.60 per person to Thira.

This is the second time we've stayed at the Hotel Santellini and hope to come back next year. Thanks Martha, Yiannis, Anastasia and everyone else for a fantastic holiday.

We were recommended this hotel by a very fussy friend and we were not disappointed. Our room on the second floor overlooked the gorgeous pool area and was spacious and had everything we needed including FREE air con which was very useful. The welcome from Martha and all her team was always friendly and welcoming and they are anxious to please. Breakfast is a continental affair sitting around the pool and there are daily treats which are a lovely touch. The maid who cleaned our room each day left towels shaped into flowers one day and a heart of bougainvillea flowers another which was really lovely as she did this of her own accord. The hotel is spotlessly clean and offers everything that we needed.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms overlook the pool but ours was a superior room

We booked our two week stay at the Santellini following excellent reviews. As soon as we arrived we new we had chosen well. The hotel is situated in a quiet oasis just off the road to the beach. The beach and promenade are no more than 5o metres away so the location could not be better.
The hotel itself was spotlessly clean throughout and the staff worked hard to maintain the standards. The pool area is very quiet and ideal for relaxing, this is also spotless.
The staff and owners were so friendly and always on hand to offer help and advice when required or just to pass the time of day.
Kamari itself is absolutely brilliant and offers everything you would want from a beach holiday. The promenade is great for the evening with a fantastic selection of restaurants/tavernas as well as nice bars to sit and watch the world go by.
All in all an excellent holiday in a lovely friendly hotel.

After seeing all the fab reviews it prompted me to book this hotel and I wasn't disappointed. Martha and her staff are very welcoming but not intrusive and the hotel is relaxed and informal. As a solo traveller I was surprised how easy and enjoyable the holiday was which exceeded my expectations. Kamari offers many places to eat and even as a veggie the choice was good and deserts were plentiful and delicious.
The beach was lovely but worth buying a cheap pair of "special" shoes to go in the sea or you end up hobbling in and out, the only down side was the black pebbles and sand but still great and I went every day.
I would really recommend this hotel and Santorini it's a beautiful island and well worth a visit.

Martha and her staff make you feel like you're one of the family. It's such a lovely place to stay. The rooms are excellent and the facilities - pool, bar, lounge area all very good. Wi-fi free in the lounge area, but you can also buy wi-fi for your devices for use in your room.

Breakfast is continental, with tea/coffee, cereals and the usual meats, cheese, boiled eggs, bread, yoghurt, fruit, cakes etc. Martha will often provide a little extra, on different days: fried eggs, Greek cheese pies, omelette or "eggy bread",all freshly cooked.

The hotel is located on a side street no more than 50 metres from the main strip along the beach. It's right in the centre of Kamari, with a bus stop just around the corner and lots of shops and tavernas nearby.

Hotel was spotlessly clean, room was basic but comfortable with the added bonus of a fridge. The pool was lovely but got a little crowded as families with young children arrived with their inflatables. Martha was everything that previous reviews said she was, a lovely lady and a brilliant host. Shops bars and tavernas are on your doorstep and a 50 metre walk takes you to the beach which hosts around 160 bars and eateries. Food was really good everywhere but if you're eating early be prepared for each place you pass trying to drag you in. A 2 minute walk away from the seafront takes you to a few more traditional tavernas which are really good, Alexander's was our favourite. Prices were also good, a meal for two including starter, main course beer and a bottle of wine for around 40 euro. Don't worry about what room you get, they are all good and the few that overlook the road offer great people watching opportunities.
