“Big wedding party”

just back from this hotel stayed for a wedding which was held at a separate venue .our first trip to the Greek islands & was very impressed .lovely views from the rooms we were on the ground floor just next to the dining room .lovely breakfasts the yogurt was to die for .the only slight negative was it is situated up the hill & the upper rooms have loads of steps up to them .not really suitable for the less mobile .however had a lovely time & would stay again .

Room Tip: choose rooms on lower level if you want to avoid the stairs

This was a newer hotel in close proximity to Kamari Beach and the staff was very helpful but there really is an issue with too many steps. The hotel itself is on a slight rise but with beautiful sea views, there are a few steps up to the main entrance but not a deal breaker. Our room was on the top level but along with the great view came 75 steps that needed to be climbed each time you left your room, even to go to the pool area and because of the power restrictions the rooms were extremely warm once reached until you inserted your power chip for air conditioning. Again, very nice and clean with a great breakfast but be prepared for some extra exercise

Room Tip: Unless you are a seasoned marathon or exercise buff, ask for a room on one of the lower levels that...

After reading the reviews expected to visit and stay at an upmarket Greek hotel and that's exactly what we got. Rooms and leisure areas spotlessly clean, pool well maintained and tidy, and even a gym for hotel patrons.
All the staff were pleasant and helpful and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. Better use of the bar could be made by perhaps adjusting the Happy Hour and opening times, and perhaps a it more suitable music could have been played. However this is only a minor observation and it's difficult to improve on what is an excellent, well run hotel.
The bed sheets were changed twice a week during our stay and the towels everyday. Hot water was always available and the climb to the hotel from the beach though reasonably steep is soon mastered after a couple attempts.
All in all a great holiday at a great hotel and I would readily recommend.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are better but not essential.

Situated at the quiet end of Kamari beach it is worth the walk up the slight hill and a number of steps. Staff very nice and good breakfasts. Worth paying extra for sea view rooms. Bed linen and towels changed daily. Sea was lovely to swim in, but watch the waves and the volcanic shingle can make it a bit tricky getting in and out of water. Hotel was very comfortable. Nice pool area. No-one seemed to use indoor pool or games room. Plenty of books to borrow. We took a taxi from airport (20 euros) rather than wait for the transfer coach. Only improved entry at hotel would be proper walk in showers rather than ones above the bath. We would not hesitate to return.

Just returned from a one week stay at the Epavlis hotel, and enjoyed it so much we have booked to return next year.
The hotel is spotless as others state, and the service was excellent .If you want a peaceful holiday this is the place to go.
Breakfast is very good with a massive selection of pastries and cakes as well as the usual eggs, ham and cheeses. The pool area is small and quiet but does the trick when you need to cool off. We stayed in a superior room with a sea view, and was well worth paying that little bit extra.
There are lots of places to eat on a evening, but after the first couple of days, stayed away from the sea front as the waiters trying to get you in tends to get on your nerves a little.
A couple of places that we really enjoyed were Kiwi(if you are wanting something different) which serves great Chinese and Thai food and Meli and Thymari - Great food and very welcoming.
If you are looking for a lively place to stay this is not for you,but if its peace quite and relaxation it ticks all the boxes.

Nice hotel, very clean, good service with helpful friendly reception, bar, restaurant staff, and owners. Breakfast was good with a varied selection of food to keep most people happy. It is located a little away from the busy sea front with a small incline so if you have problems walking up hill you might be better nearer to Kamari. We had a great stay and would stay again. Constructive feedback would be to change the showers to thermostatically controlled showers as the temperature was a bit erratic and took some skills to keep adjusting. We also had a jacuzzi which we could only use on one occasion because it was not easy to control the heating. Instructions in the room would have been a good idea although the owner did get it working for us when we asked.
