“DON'T GO HERE!!!!!!!!”
Reviewed 3 August 2011

I advise that none goes here.!! It was a terrible experience. On the first night after arriving my friend and I ( both female 19 and 20) went out for dinner and after approximately an hour and a half came back to find that our safe was empty, with just under a thousand euros gone. There was no forced entry and the individual who had taken it had obviously a key for both the room and the safe. The hotel was then unable to to give us the police number or even the reps number with the hotel owner "claiming" not to speak English. We then had to wait till morning with no help from the hotel whatsoever, until the reps came and toke us to the police station.
After spending nearly the full day at the police station and planning our flight straight home again, the money had suddenly reappeared! To add to our experience, the security man would then threaten us for three nights after the incident by waiting outside our hotel room with his Greek friend for us returning from our night out.
After four days we were moved hotels and could go on and enjoy the remainder of our holiday.
Despite what happen i would like to say how good the reps were! They were EXTREMELY helpful. Whoever goes here however needs to be very careful as this hotel is extremely dodgey!!!!

Although this occurred four years ago, and the management of Dados Hotel has changed since then, we have tried to find exactly what happened. After speaking to the police we found there is no record of this event and they explained that due to the fact the staff have no control over who is entering the hotel rooms, it is down to you to make a judgement of who you have in and who you trust. Furthermore, the security staff do not start work until 12 o’clock at night so therefore wouldn’t have been on duty when the taking of the money apparently occurred, so they would have had no attachment to the incident. The cleaners work from 9 to 5! In addition, there are no duplicate keys for the safety boxes in each room so unless the key was left in the room nobody would have been able to have access. In all the years we have been open, we have never had any reports of money being taken out of rooms so one can only suggest that you have an ulterior motive to these accusations. We are not only confused about what has happened, we are upset that the reputation of our hotel has been effected due to this review and wish to express to people that we have a safe environment and now are very selective of new employees. Our staff are always happy to help as you will see in more recent reviews.

This hotel has had a few bad reviews so i was a bit apprehensive about staying here. This is a call out to not listen to any of the Bad reviews on this hotel complex. This hotel is a Twentys hotel which is young and lively. However it is clean and tidy well cared for with comfortable beds and spacious immaculate rooms! The hotel staff are extremely friendly and are not after your money they just like tips from time to time which you get anywhere even in the UK! You do have to pay extra for Air Con and Safe Deposit Box but that is the norm in these hotels. The Pool is massive and very clean loved being in the pool. Loungers are comfortable and fairly new. All in All a FAB hotel and cannot wait to go back!

Me and 11 other boys visited this hotel in July 2011 for one week. I'd read a few reviews before about money going missing from safes, being forced to pay for breakages etc but we were lucky and this never happened. Apparently this was done by a security guard (who had a masterkey to all rooms) but he had since been sacked.

As soon as we arrived we expected the hotel owner to take 50 euros off us each as apparently this was the norm, but he never did, instead he took our passports which was also expected. He also offered us aircon for 55 euros (not each) and a safe for 15 euros, i was 100% recommend the safe, don't really bother paying for aircon - we left the balcony doors open all night and this was fine.

We had 3 rooms in the annex and we were extremely surprised to find that while the rooms were basic they were also clean - which is all we cared about, we came on the holiday for the nightlife not a decent room. When you use the shower it doesn't have a proper basin so water goes everywhere but we just laughed about it, wasn't really a massive deal.

Pool was a good size and plenty of sunbeds. Pool bar was pretty expensive for drinks so we found ourselves going to the onsite supermarket which was right at the bottom of the stairs of the hotel instead - although the owner and his Albanian worker were annoyed when we did this but their prices were a joke.

Security guard was an absolute tool though, was violent when there was the slightest noise coming from any room, was recommend staying out of his way. He isnt that good at letting boys bring girls back and tried to make my mate give him 50euros to let her in, but instead he went an climbed over a wall in the back of the hotel ha.

Good hotel location wise, strip was like 5 mins away from hotel and the beach was about 2 minutes away but we never bothered going there, something to do with long necked turtles nesting there so daytime we just stuck to the pool. NEVER leave your room without all your valuables being put into your safe - the people who lost things while we were there were the ones who left them lying about recklessly.

The reps was cool, her name was Kirsty and she was sound. I wouldn't bother getting the deal they offer you though which is 5 activities for about 170 euros each because its really not that worth it, it included a booze cruise and about 4 nights out which 2 had free bar's, but if we hadnt paid for them already we probably wouldn't have gone to.

Nights out i would recommend would be:
- Head phone party (silent disco)
- School disco themed party
- Trinity nightclub
- Zeros nightclub
- Rescue nightclub

They also try and sell you this 90cent a drink night out at a bar called Waikiki which is wack! club was crap and ended after 2 hours!

Finally one more thing to be careful is the little gypsy kids who try sell glow sticks and hug you etc, but they're pick pocketing you! Do not let them touch you because they're sly and know exactly what they're doing even at 6 or 7 years old. Towards the end of the holiday we were all kicking them out of the way because they did our heads in.

Overall though was a sweet holiday and the strip is great, just be careful and don't mess with any Greek or Serbian people cos they hate English! and look after your room or you will be paying for anything that breaks.

Room Tip: annex overlooks the road and therefore noise of cars/quads is annoying and also a dog that constantl...

On behalf of Dados Hotel I would firstly like to apologise for your disappointment with your vacation, however we are also disappointed with the review. We have an excellent cleaning team who thoroughly clean each room every other day to a good standard, and considering out of the 13 reviews that we received for 2011 this is the only bad feedback, I can only assume there was some sort of problem with them being able to enter your room. Regarding the charges for the events, 2wentys not only provide many unique events for guests to attend, they create an amazing atmosphere that makes young adults’ stay here one of the best weeks of their lives- as we are often told. This however has nothing to do with us as a Hotel; if you choose to book with Thompson Holidays, of course they are going to offer things for you to get involved with throughout the week. This also gives you a chance to get to know the other holiday makers in the hotel. Furthermore, as a Hotel we do not charge anything extra unless there is damage to anything in the hotel/your rooms of which guests are aware of.

Stayed in the annex part of the hotel. The rooms were nice and clean - the maid came to our room every other day giving us new towels and clean sheets and mopping/sweeping the floors. Pool was big and very nice - plenty of sunbeds with some in the shade and others in the sun. There was a shop directly below which was reasonably priced to buy food. Had kettle hotplate and toaster in the room which all worked. The only problem with the hotel is that charge a large amount for any breakages. The charges go up to about 250 euros. You had to pay 15 euros for a safe and I would recommend doing this. The air conditioning as it cost about 55 euros for 6 days. We had to check out at noon and our flight was not until the early hours of the morning so we had to pay 10 euros each for a room - which we only had till 8pm. The hotel owner does not speak good English, or at least pretends he doesn't - and the young guy who translates for him is cocky and rude so there isn't really any point in arguing with them. Overall I would go to this hotel again but make sure you get good flights to avoid the charges and stay away from the hotel owner
