“Far better than other reviews make out!”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

At first we were worries that it was quite far from the strip but the walk was not bad at all didn't even bother us. Our favourite pre drinks bar 4play was just around the corner which was really cheap and a great place to go before hitting the strip.Went with 8 other girls aged 17 and had an amazing time, people that work there were so lovely, would come and chat to us and make us feel welcome. The rooms were very clean and the showers were really great. We broke our key and got a lot of dirt on the sheets and were worried about getting charged but none of us were charged a penny. We had visited a few of our friends hotels and none of them were as clean and nice as ours. The pool was a bit small but very clean compared to all others. We felt incredibly safe there and knew it would be fine to leave our back doors open when we went out during the day as the people that worked there looked after everything. It's very close to 2 super markets and a lot of great restaurants. Overall we were immensely pleased with our stay.

If you want to be intimidated and bullied then this is the place to go! On check-in you are presented with a list of extra charges you may incur during your stay.
The room was not clean on arrival, especially the floor, and apart from emptying the bins the room was not cleaned for 5 days, no change of towels or sheets, no mopping of the dirty floor! On the fifth day the cleaner barged into our room whilst we were in bed shouting and demanding 70 euros for cleaning towels and sheets. We refused to pay and had an argument with the owner, he basically, said he expected the sheets and towels to be the same condition as they were before use, we did point out that this is not possible when the floors are so dirty!! Our towels were dirty from use, mainly due to the dirty floor, also. the shower leaked so my towel had to be used as a bath mat, as one was not provided. Our sheets did have some pink paint residue on them from a paint party we went to, which was sold to us by the holiday rep, who assured us the paint would wash off.Our room was cleaned and towels and sheets changed on the fifth day of our 7 day holiday, and we thought we were not going to be charged, however, on the morning we left, with the coach waiting the owner would not give us back our passports unless we paid the now 80 euros for the dirty sheets and towels. He was shouting at us and we felt we had no choice but to pay as the coach was waiting and we could not miss it! Other guests also received the same treatment.
Friends in a different room were woken with the cleaner in their room shouting at them, for no reason.
I am sure older guests would not be treated in the same way.
We paid for use of a safe and often could not access it as no one was available at reception, so we would just have to wait around until someone turned up.
Make sure you take toilet roll as you will not be given any, we asked the cleaner and she refused.

Laganas has brilliant nightlife and the beach is lovely Just BE AWARE of where you stay and keep some money back as you may have problems getting your passport back!! I would not recommend this hotel.

9 of us came here last June and we had a brilliant time. The location is perfect, nearby shop and restaurants and the main strip is only a 5 minute walk down the road so you are never too close but never too far away from the nightlife. The rooms were basic but what do you expect? We did find it difficult at night to sleep in the blistering heat however the air conditioning which was available at 50 euro did help. It did the job for us and our outside door was right in front of the pool, so access in and out of the room during the day was just an easy hop over the balcony. We were looked after by a man called Joe who was extremely helpful and really looked after us which we appreciated. The only problem we found with the hotel was the owner was very difficult and demanded us out of our rooms on the day we departed. We admittedly broke a remote controller for the futile computer screen in the room and he demanded 50 EURO off us for it and if we failed to do so he would keep hold of our passports which he took of us upon arrival. So my advice is don't break anything and your stay here will be fantastic!

Room Tip: Try get a hotel on the ground floor!

I have just recently returned from a 2 week stay in Kostas with my friend. The apartments themselves are lovely, with the rooms recently being refurbished they are very clean and tidy. The beds are so comfortable too! The kitchen facilities are limited, with only 2 hobs and a fridge but that was not a problem for us. There is also a large mirror and dresser which is very handy.
The pool, although small, is clean and well kept. All of the staff in Kostas are very friendly, Zoe and Joe on the bar are lovely and Leonardo, the security guard, although he can be a bit mouthy, he is only doing his job and is really nice once you get to know him, a good laugh. If you are loud he will come and tell you to shut up and also you aren't allowed too many people in your room either. The staff here look after you really well. The cleaner came in once every 2 days, if we needed any toilet roll we just asked her and she was more than happy to hand some over.
The walk to the main strip takes about 15/20 minutes, quite a long walk but we found many of the smaller bars on the way to the strip were really good and had cheap drinks before getting to the main strip where drinks are more pricey. There are 2 supermarkets really close by which is handy too.

I would definitely recommend these aprtments for young people on a party holiday, the bad reviews are from before the apartments were refurbished and they had different staff back then. Oh and another thing I would say is be careful of room charges, my friend left a lipstick mark on the towel (which would have washed off) but we got charged 10 euros for that, and then nearly another 10 euros for a small mark off a shoe on the bed sheet. But all in all, amazing holiday and amazing apartments!

I've recently returned from a holiday with 5 other girls. Although as we all booked separately we were all in different hotels. Myself and my friend stayed at Kostas Studios and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The rooms had recently just been refurbished and were very modern. The beds (pillows especially) were sooo comfortable! The bathroom was really nice and the shower was very powerful and able to attach to the bracket on the wall... nothing worse than having a weak handheld shower! The kitchen area had enough space for everything we needed. We also had a huge mirror and a decent sized dressing table which was a bonus. The staff were really polite and helpful, Leonardo is a bit scary when you take people to your room from different hotels (just going back to get more alcohol) but he is just looking out for your safety, he's nice really! Also do not sit on the sun beds at night otherwise he will appear with his torch and kick you off. The strip is about a 10-15 minute walk away, although Thomas Cook told us that we were very close. The walk isn't too bad but I wouldn't suggest walking alone. The PR's for clubs are quite annoying and make the journey longer but they do offer some good deals. The only thing I would suggest is to check when you are getting kicked out of your apartment and how long you have to wait until your flight. Myself and my friend were kicked out of our room 10am Sunday morning and our coach didn't come to collect us to go to the airport until 4am Monday so we had a long, boring and tiring wait.

All in all Kostas Studios was a lovely place to stay, made really good friends with our neighbours and the rooms were so much better than we expected for the price we paid.

I would definitely recommend for a girls/lads holiday!

I have just returned from a week staying at the Kostas with myself and 8 friends. We booked three rooms, which had all recently been refurbished and modernised, the rooms were ideal and immaculate (however bring a hair-drier) but we were told by Thomas Cook that air con was included, yet when we arrived it was a small cost of 50 euros per room for the week.
As its a small hotel you really get to know the staff, Zoe and Joe working at the pool bar were super friendly, as the food was so reasonably priced and nice we decided to eat there most (if not every) day. Even the hotel security guard Leonardo is a laugh, everyone is just so friendly! The pool area is well maintained and clean.
A word of warning though, before rushing to buy events off the rep, walk down to the strip and see how much they're selling them for, as we met a group of girls who had paid half of what we had paid for a certain event.
Would recommend this hotel for sure, and hopefully we will be back in the future! We all had one of the best weeks of our lives staying at the Kostas!

Just come back from a weeks holiday staying in kostas studios with 8 girls. The rooms are perfect for what you want and need, with optional air conditioning, a safe and a computer with wifi available. Being only quite small the atmosphere around the hotel and pool is really friendly and you easily make good friends with everyone, especially when going to events together. Joe and Zoe are sooooo lovely and the food they make is very good and cheap so we mainly just stayed there to eat. Leonardo is the night worker with a bit of a mean reputation from the other reviews but really he just does his job but can sometimes be a bit of a douche!!! Everyone thinks that's maids will still all their stuff but we had no problem with it at all and the rep said that nothing has ever happened there. Bring toilet roll because you only get 1 for the whole week!!!! 100% recommend it had an amazing time
