“Business Conference”
Reviewed 11 December 2013 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

We recently held our annual conference at the Royal Pines Resort and they were brilliant. The food was excellent and the service was even better. We had a Resort staff member as our primary contact (and were given his mobile number) and nothing we requested was too hard or obscure.

Reviewed 20 November 2013

This place was very welcoming. Meet there with large group of friends for afternoon drinks and meal. The food was delicious and great atmosphere. Very reasonable priced too.

“Not a resort for families”
Reviewed 3 October 2013 via mobile

Overall our stay at Royal Pines Resort has been below my expectations and below the standard of many other resorts on the Gold Coast. Reasons are;
1. The pool closes at 6.30pm. It's a beautiful evening by the pool and every night the security guard comes and tells everyone to leave. The reason the security guard stated to me was there is no supervision. During the day there is no supervision either, yet each night despite supervising my children directly in the pool, we are still asked to leave because of "no supervision". Kids love the pool, but after a long day at the "worlds" use of the pool would be great.

2. There is a park area as part of the resort. We enquired about using the park in the evening and were told it would cost us $100 to turn on the lights for 1 hour. They did us a favour for 1 night and gave us use of the park. Thank you for that, but we needed to negotiate and haggle for this and once on the park, this was the best night the kids had at the hotel.

3. There is a "kids club" advertised for 5.30pm to 8.30pm. We have 11 and 12yo (plus a soccer team travelling) and reception told use that it is really set up for babies, older kids are encouraged to bring an iPod. With no pool, no park, no play structures in the evening, no games room no shops nearby there is nothing for a family to do in the evening if you stay in the hotel.

4 Shuttle bus. We didn't hire a car, there are 11 of us as part of a soccer team, all 11 seater buses are booked out so we rely on the hotel transfers to surfers paradise. The transfers stop at 6pm! (just like all the other things that stop at 6) transfer to 9pm would be excellent. Also, during the day the transfers to surfers are 2 and 3 hrs apart and just not frequent enough. It costs $25 one way in a taxi to pacific fair from Royal Pines Resort.

5. The rooms are beautifully maintained, breakfast is great and the setting is very nice. If you here for a conference or a golfing holiday it's perfect. If your a family on holiday, choose another resort.

“Excellent family stay”
Reviewed 1 October 2013

Great for families to stay here as it is close to the theme parks which we frequented often. Needed a hire car to get around though. Good sheltered play area- shade sails over play area for children. Only dislike was that the lifts were slow at times and sometimes not all were working.-meant that half of us were waiting downstairs for the others to arrive there.Views lovely. Very helpful staff.

“Great Place to Eat”
Reviewed 27 September 2013

If you are spending times on the Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise, this is a great golf club to go in to for a meal. Salads are creative and excellent flavor. We liked it so much we went back several times as the prices were excellent for the area and the food was very good. It is a golf course restaurant down I the club house not up in the resort. Service was also very good.
