Aloha Lane Holiday Apartments

Located 2km's from the (sadly) dying Cavill Ave, "Aloha Lane" is a treat in every regard. Great management. Lovely grounds. A heated pool with a spa & bbq facilities. I've stayed here many times with family and friends, and this trip was with friends to see St.Kilda play the new Gold Coast Suns (Saints won!). Main Beach is more exclusive than other parts of the Coast, so there are no riff-raff staying here. The units are cozy & it is easy to settle in '"at home". just 100 metres to the beach, and around the corner from Tedder Ave. Main Beach is sort of the "Toorak of the Coast". Easily the best part of staying here is away from the drunken yobbo's that frequent Broadbeach and Surfers. Our balcony over looked the pool and the lush grounds and i cannot fault this place at all. A quick stroll along the beach road takes you to the Soutport Surf Life Saving Club. meals are your common pub fare, but quite huge. Every time we come here though, we go to the Southport Workers Club for ultra cheap food & drinks.

Recently had a nice week at Aloha Lane. Managers Kate and Roy are very friendly and we appreciated the warm welcome and bags carried to the room. The pool is heated so even were were able to take a dip with the kids.

We had a couple of things not working in the room and the managers were quick to respond and rectify.

Aloha Lane is in a great location, just a few steps to the beach and Tedder Ave in the other direction. Creatures of habit we loved the short stroll to Tedder Ave each morning for our caffeine fix at Hard Coffee.

The Gold Coast has so much to choose from but we couldn't go past Main Beach as a base to relax, stroll and enjoy a holiday with the kids.

Nearly forgot, a cot, linen and a pram was all sorted for us by Kate, making it a very easy holiday.

The apartment was spacious and clean, but definitely looking a bit worn. Despite this, however, the service that we received from the hosts was warm, friendly and above and beyond. This level of friendliness definitely made the stay memorable and we have booked again already for next year.

Thanks Kate!

We stayed here for 5 nites. Loved the location, close to the heart of everything and beach. Had secured underground carpark, secured entrances from carpark and staircases to apartments. Our apartment was on the 3rd floor so that was a bit of a tedious climb, esp when we had two samsonites. The apartment (2bedrooms) were clean (v important), roomy and cosy. There was no air-conditioning in the rooms but the ceiling fans were ample. We even had to cover blankets! The toilet sinks were drippy and had to be forced tight each time. We liked that the kitchen was very well equipped (important for a family with young kids). Roy and Kate, the owners, were friendly and helpful. :) Overall, for the price we paid, this was one excellent choice.

we stayed here in Jan. 2010 and I can't speak highly enough about this place. Our party were my partner and I travelling from London, and our friends with their 4 year old son travelling from Melbourne (other than the 4 year old we are all in our twenties).
The location in general was brilliant, right on the beach and a short walk to surfers paradise, which we did every day. On a wider scale it was great too, a ten minute bus ride to Seaworld, a twenty minute cab ride to Wet'N'Wild and we booked a coach to take us to Australia Zoo, which took about two hours.
The Grounds of the hotel were kept in very good condition, very plush and very clean, and on the 2 days of sunshine we on on our 6 day visit (typical) we made full use of the pool and BBQ. The apartments were big, as were the bedrooms (we had 2 bedrooms in ours, one with En Suite) and they Foxtel (Sky TV). There only problems with the room were a broken ceiling fan and broken blind, both of which were fixed immediatey once we told the people that ran the apartments.
And their helpfulness didn't stop there. Every cab we took was booked for us by reception and the confirmation slip brought to us at the poolside, I went to enquire about a fan for the room and was handed one over reception, and when my girlfriend was stung by a jellyfish they even went as far as bringing vinegar to our room to take the pain away.
I could praise this place all day, even 4 days of miserable weather didn't dampen our spirits. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Although the apartment was spacious it was in need of renovating. The blinds in the minor bedroom didn't close at all. When we reported this to management we were advised they couldn't get anyone in to fix it because of the time of year, but it was quite obvious it had been broken for some time. A vacuum cleaner was provided but impossible to use as the wheel kept falling off. The furniture was extremely uncomfortable to sit on.
Was in a good location within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We spent 6 days here and 5 ngihts on the sunny coast in an apartment that cost the same but so much better for the money in every way.
