After initially calling to book a 9.30am 1 Hour Jet ski tour, we were asked could we arrive at 8.30am for a 9am start. We agreed to that and showed up at 8.30am and the place wasn't open. A quick phone call ensured us they were minutes away, however upon arrival and due to a mix up of keys, they were unable to access the place until approximately 9.15am. Not a great start.
We felt the owner wasn't apologetic enough, simply blaming her son for the mix up while we waited. It would have nice for the owner to offer to go get us a bottle of water, for example, instead of just sitting and waiting.
Once on the water, we had an absolutely fantastic time, however mostly in part to Hiro and the other instructor (whose name I unfortunately did not catch). If you plan on having souvenir pictures, take your own waterproof camera because it's $15 for one photo, $25 for 2 or $50 for a USB (for a handful of unprofessional photos taken from the pier). For the price of the day (6 jet skis hired for $1260 - $210 each, and a 3% credit card surcharge) the photos should really be included.
All in all, we had a great time out on the water. A few positives to note - lockers were supplied free, sunscreen supplied, lanyards were offered for glasses if needed (limited numbers) and the lifejackets and equipment were in good condition. The scenery on the trip was also excellent, the mansions and the mangroves are both huge. I think we were just a little disappointed that it wasn't better organised, and we didn't get that little extra more included for the value (i.e. photos).
Tip for the tour: Salt water burns the eyes, take a lanyard for your glasses just incase they haven't got enough.
