If you're looking for a nice place away from the tourists and yet close enough to the action (10 min drive), this is your hotel. Amazing views, fantastic rooms/facilities and good service. The area is definitely classier than Surfers or Broadbeach. And we got amazing fresh prawns out of the boat in front of the hotel! For the value this is a win. Will go back!

Have stayed here before in a lower standard room and we were underwhelmed. This time we booked into a Graden Terrace Suite with our 1 year old and had a much better experience. The ability to sit in a shared but quiet garden and have a glass of wine whils our little boy ran around in the plants was perfect.
The rooms are clean and tidy, but perhaps a Revamp is needed. Stayed at Versace last month and the room was smaller, the service worse, the facilities less but the rooms at versace are so much newer and better appointed.
The location will suit if you want to spend most of your time at the resort, its a good walk to Tedder Ave and a short drive to Surfers or Broadbeach.
The pool area was quiet and sunbeds easy to procure.
Breakfast great, dinner pretty good, room service adequate.
I have no real complaints but having spent the next week in a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom 54 level Skyhome in Broadbeach for the same price I will choose the appartment next time.

Room Tip: Basic rooms not ideal no view, no balcony or terrace. Garden terrace suited us perfectly.

Great service. Good price for the service, rooms and location. Spacious rooms, and great room service. Has a bar and restaurant down stair. Beach is right across from it, with easy access to and from it.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and the rooms were superb! Unfortunately my room does not face the sea, remember to ask for one sea facing room as the view is fabulous! The rooms were large and the jacuzzi was a nice treat. Barely 10m away is the beach and one can take a leisurely jog along the route just outside the hotel. Real bliss!

We are indeed very fortunate to enjoy the best position of any 5 star hotel on the Gold Coast with our direct access to the beach and the ocean, and we’re delighted this was a feature which you really enjoyed and appreciated.

Should you return to us in the future – and we certainly hope we will have the opportunity of welcoming you back - could I recommend either Ocean Premium (level 3) or Ocean (level 2) accommodation, as either category will give you that magical view out onto the Pacific Ocean.

This was our 10th visit to the Sheraton Mirage which was noted on a welcome card in our room.

Arrival - The hotel rang us the previous day & asked what time we were arriving. My hubby stated we would be there around midday. Our room was ready at 12.30pm which we thought to be excellent.

Room - We love being on the ground floor - this was our first experience on the North wing (room1026) & it was exactly what we wanted.

The room was newly renovated & refurbished with style & elegance. All the mod amenities supplied with Wi-Fi access and large opening doors onto a private terrace. A heavenly comfortable king size bed was an added bonus.

Breakfast - Good as always & we were delighted that the queues which usually were problematic in the past had disappeared.

Staff - All extremely cheerful & efficient.

Overall: Our previous visit we were extremely disappointed with the Sheraton Mirage however this time around it was pleasing to see that they were welcoming feedback & getting on with providing good old fashioned hospitality.

The excellent refurbishments & renovations have really rejuvenated the Sheraton MIrage & we had a very enjoyable relaxing stay.

We will be back soon !

Room Tip: Oasis corner ground floor room especially if you like walking straight out to the pool or beach.

While we could not fault customer service and hotel cleanliness, it is disappointing that Sheraton Mirage Resort & Spa did not have the facilities we expected of a 5 star hotel.

The outdoor pool is nice but an indoor pool will be good during bad weathers. The spa and sauna is not owned by the hotel hence standard is not the same. We have to pay for treatments to use the sauna which is not appealing. We’ve stayed mostly in 4-4.5 star hotels in the past that offered a lot more in terms of facilities that guests can use just for being guests. Had bad weather during our stay and absence or lack of these facilities made us feel like we can’t get home soon enough.

Our room is clean but nothing exemplary compared to 4-4.5 star hotels. Buffet breakfast at $25 (winter special from $46) is ordinary. We appreciate the green theme of surrounds in that smokers are not allowed within the vicinity. Bridge connecting the hotel to shops is good however becomes a turn off when smokers gather at the hotel end of the bridge and we had to negotiate through second hand fumes to go through.

Overall, for us Sheraton Mirage Resort and Spa didn’t live to it’s name and rating. However it is indeed a 5 star when it comes to its staff who are very professional and helpful…for us, they are the ones that carry the hotel. Are we to go back? Yes we will…if only they could have an indoor poor and own spa/sauna/gym.

I was delighted at your very positive comments on the service of our wonderful associates, and the efforts of our Housekeeping Department in ensuring a high level of cleanliness throughout the accommodation wings and public areas of the resort.

Whilst appreciative of your overall feedback and insights, which are indeed well taken, we’re disappointed our facilities were not entirely to your satisfaction, and added to which, the weather was not kind during your stay. Taking that into account, we are pleased our high level of service would still bring you back for another visit, and we look forward to that with pleasure.

In the meantime I can advise our owners are working with The Golden Door owners to effect the necessary improvements required to that facility.

I've stayed at this property numerous times over the years since Christopher Skase developed it and I have to say it is standing up very well. I just stayed for 3 nights in an Ocean view room (2094 south wing) on the middle level with a view that only just managed to see the ocean - there was however no premium requested for an ocean view over the originally allocated garden view room. The top floor (level 3) would have afforded a better view. The rooms have been refurbished a number of times over the years and the current decor is modern and stylish. The rooms themselves have always been quite spacious and this remains so. Breakfast was up to the normal excellent standard but a daily charge for WiFi in such properties continues to annoy!

Staff were friendly and obliging and would definitely stay again.
