Nice camp site. Nice to camp on astro turf as you don't get any dirt in your tent. The kids can't wreck the place! Nice big parks so the go karts are fun to explore the entirety. Nice big jumping pillow and fun playground. Good vibe as there was a restaurant and a band playing. Noisy but good to hear people having fun on their holiday. Always busy in the office so service not quick. Not enough staff in cafe and slow service there. Lots of kids scooting around so good to see cars being aware of kids everywhere and going slowly. Fun place. Thanks!

We are so glad to hear that you had a great time with us! Thank you for your feedback with regards to the Café. You will be pleased to know that the Café operation will be undergoing a revamp after the holiday period. A new menu, and a large new wrap around deck overlooking the new waterpark will be constructed so as patrons can enjoy a variety of different meals and snacks while watching over their kids at play on the adjacent waterpark.
Hope you come and visit us again!

We have just experienced Treasure Island for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's wonderful for the children but we were a little disappointed the water park wasn't finished.( Looks a long way off yet ). Our unit was pricey but we couldn't fault it apart from the hard beds. We slept on the bunks with the grandchildren and they were very uncomfortable. Another thing that stopped a good night sleep for me personally was a light right outside the bedroom window which was on all night.
The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble . Kudos to them. :)

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper like me try for a room/unit away from the Harbourtown side of the park...

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you and your family had a pleasant stay overall. Sorry to hear that your sleeping arrangements were unsatisfactory. In future, please do not hesitate to see the staff and they can possibly arrange a better sleeping situation for you and your family.
Hopefully if you decide to stay with us again it will be when the waterpark is completed.

Just stoped for one week at Treasure Island Resort at Gold Coast, overpriced - accommodation average mostly everything need to repair paid $325 for deluxe cabin for two adult and two kids, I probably better for the same money to stay at a nicer place. Kids couldn't sleep as the beds were not comfortable. We just waited to go home. The cabin so small for four people and everything need to change and the smell so you don't want to sit in this place. Dusty and not impressive room we didn't even want to stay inside.

Hello and thanks for leaving a review on your stay at our park. Treasure Island Holiday Park offers a range of accommodation from 2.5 to 4.5 star to suit every budget. Our cabins range in size from a 1 bedroom studio to a large, 3 bedroom, 2 storey townhouse that sleeps up to 10 people. It would appear the cabin you stayed in was one of our Superior Garden Villas during our peak season. During this time pricing is reflective of the demand on our facilities and is slightly more expensive than at other times of the year. You would have seen from our website that there is a great deal of information available on all of our cabin types including floor plans detailing cabin layouts and facilities, and that our pricing is structured over 4 seasons.
We do have a rolling program of cabin upgrades that are being undertaken, with the cabin you refer to having only just been furnished with new lounge suites in December. When reviewing pricing, it should also be noted that pricing should not be considered simply as a reflection of the cabin, but the complete experience offered at the Treasure Island Holiday Park, and the myriad of facilities that the park offers its guests.
We do hope you decide to stay with us again and hope you enjoy your new years celebrations.

We stayed here in a Junior Garden Villa and for the price it was nowhere near worth the money we paid. The flooring in the villa actually felt like it was on a lean so possibly needs re-stumping. It was very outdated and in need of some maintenance inside as well. We had dinner in the Galleons bistro and whilst mine and the kids meals were okay, my husbands steak was tough and inedible. The main pool was good and we liked that they had a smaller separate toddler pool for our youngest. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again as there are nicer places to stay on the Gold Coast for better value.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We endeavour to use all feedback we are given to address any issues and to make improvements in our park for future guests.
Treasure Island holiday park offers a range of cabins from a basic, entry level cabin to a luxury, 2 storey townhouse. Our junior garden villas are one of our mid to lower range cabins. When assessing value for money we encourage guests to consider the overall value for money, not just the price in relation to the cabin. We believe that our rates are very competitive when you consider the access that our guests have to facilities such as 3 pools, spas, tennis courts, jumping pillow, playground, mini-golf, kids club, and our soon to be opened Pirate Themed Waterpark which is available free to all of our guests. We are unsure from your comments as to whether you raised your concerns with staff at the time who would have been only too happy to attend to any outstanding maintenance issues that may have been overlooked, or assisted with alternate accommodation. In future please do not hesitate to bring any issues to our attention during your stay.
Thank you again for your feedback. We hope that you change your mind and do come and stay with us again.

WOW!! If you have kids and want a relaxing, fun filled holiday, Treasure Island is the place to stay! I decided to stay at Treasure Island as it's central to all the theme parks and Treasure Island itself offers so much to do for all the kids of any age, while the adults get to relax.

Checked in Mon 04/11/13 for a 10 night stay, by very friendly, helpful staff. If you're not a member of NRMA, that's OK. I chose the option of joining at check-in and although it didn't give me much of a further discount off my booking, it's well worth it when it gives you 50% off all the kids activities. Having 4 children 4-16 yrs, this was a must. Maybe there could be a FAMILY discount on activities and equipment hire, rather than charge each individual child, to make it more affordable for families. I don't mind paying for the activities and hire, as maintenance is required but it does add up when you have a few kids.

We stayed in the Pandanus Villa 6 pax and I was VERY impressed! Having 2 ensuites was essential with 4 kids. Having your own washer/dryer was awesome and all the appliances are high end brands. I would recommend instructions being available for use of washing machine/dryer, microwave and dishwasher, as I found them a bit tricky to operate at 1st because I didn't know the model. HINT: although there is only cold water supplied to the washing machine, it has an inbuilt heater in it, which gives you warm/hot washes as well as cold. As I stayed 10 nights, I took my own dishwashing tabs and washing powder but the resort does supply these in satchels along with everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom and if there's anything extra you may require, the staff are very helpful and friendly with any request.

The villa was very clean but as there were quite a few mozzies in the villa when we arrived, may I suggest accommodation being checked before arrival by staff. It's QLD and impossible not to have mozzies and the staff were very quick in running me up some flyspray to attack the mozzies ( 5 days later I saw the flyspray under the kitchen cupboard :) ) I scored the King size bed, which was very comfortable but the 2 older children found the mattress' on the bunks a bit thin and not too comfy. Having aircon in the bedrooms as well as the lounge room was great. I loved the BBQ on the patio with it's modern outdoor setting to relax on, while still having plenty of room to move.

Under the stars movie night was fantastic, we all took pillows and blankets to snuggle up as a family to watch a movie all the family could enjoy. When we had days off from going to the theme parks, the kids zoomed around on the karts, played basketball and tennis and loved the jumping pillow. We all played numerous games of mini golf and enjoyed being together in the lagoon and waterfall pools, then relaxing in the spas. The pools are kept clean and well maintained, with plenty of shade over the many lounges available to relax on. If you want to relax while the kids swim, they're never out of your sight at the pools.

Our villa was situated at the rear of the park, so we didn't hear any traffic and it was nice and quiet. Opposite the villa were some tent/van sites which backed directly onto the canal. For safety issues, I would recommend this being fenced off as my son's ball went into the water and he slipped down the embankment onto sharp rocks trying to retrieve it.

We ate at the bistro and the food was very enjoyable and affordable. BIG servings as well, so go to dinner hungry and guaranteed you won't leave hungry! Pizza n Pasta night was our favourite, with a variety of dishes to choose from.

Being located halfway between Harbourtown and Coles (200m either way), was very handy to do the grocery shop for the stay and a fantastic day of shopping at Harbourtown. If you want a night off from cooking, there's plenty of food places within walking distance.

Will definitely make this our YEARLY family holiday!! The convenience of having everything you need, the location, kids activities and the very helpful and friendly staff, make paying that little bit extra in accommodation well worth it. Maybe there could be a FAMILY tariff for the villa's, t/houses and unit's instead of increasing the tariff per person staying??? An EXCELLENT holiday all round and would like to thank the staff for their friendly, courteous and 5* customer service.

Room Tip: Pandanus Villas only accommodation with washer/dryer

I called to make a booking after the website wouldn't allow me to get as far as paying and was helped by a lady over the phone. She then couldn't get the same price as online, but said she would query it with reception and get back to me the following day. No contact had been made after 3 days so i called to query the booking price and received the most disgusting customer service ever! The lady i spoke to tried to say they don't do call backs and made it sound like she was calling me a liar... she then found the booking and said it cost XXX I then said that it is more than originally quoted so id not take that... Before i could even say BUT i would instead like to book another type of accomadation instead, She ended the call immediately with a quiet and distant thankyou bye....If that's how booking staff treat their potential guests, then i dread to think how they treat you onsite once they have your money??? A big thumbs down before my family had even gotten there. They need to record and retrain their booking staff smartish!!!

Thank you for your feedback.
Special online rates are available to all guests who choose to booking via our website rather than over the phone. In light of the events described in your review, and to allow us to further review the situation, could we ask that you contact the Park Manager directly so we can gain clarity with regards to the circumstances surrounding your experience. This is certainly not reflective of the level of service that we are renowned for or are proud of. We receive large amounts of positive feedback about our customer service, and pride ourselves on our ability to not only meet, but also to exceed the expectations of our guests. We are keen to work out where the process fell down on this occasion. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Not overly impressed with this place. Good breakfast at the resturant. Unit was full of cockroach and silverfish, which they offered to spray but due to our toddler being inside we asked them to come back but we never saw them again. Bed needed replacment as it was well past its useful life. The pool and playgrounds are great our 3 year old loved them.

Thank you for your comments. With regards to the silverfish, we do get all our units sprayed at least twice a year as a minimum by a reputable service provider. Unfortunately the climatic conditions at certain times can cause isolated problems beyond our control, but we do our best to do everything we can to ensure the comfort of our guests.

We are unsure what style of accommodation you stayed in while visiting so we can't be sure as to the age of mattress, however, we can advise you that we do have a rolling program of cabin refurbishments and park upgrades. These works include the replacement of mattresses on our beds. On average our mattresses are all less than 3 years old. If you were to let reception know that you weren't happy we would have gladly found a new mattress or cabin for you. Next time please don't hesitate to ask.

One of our latest upgrades to the park is our new pirate themed waterpark with it's own dedicated toddler zone which will be opening in February 2014. If your son loved the pool then we are sure he will love the waterpark. We do hope you will decide to stay with us again. Enjoy your new years celebrations.
