We have just spent 3 lovely days at The Atrium Resort.I would like to say I can highly recommend it for very competitive rates. Our unit was very clean comfortable and with a great view on the seafront. We found it to be very modern. The only downside we found was the fact we were on the top floor right at the lift, and people would go to the pool and spa right at our bedroom window.Otherwise it was a very relaxing time and only wish we could have spent more time there.. Found the staff to be very helpful and obliging to us...I certainly will be going back there and again I highly recommend it ...Great view, great unit, loved the rooftop pool and bbq... Must say all was very clean for our stay, cannot fault it...

Room Tip: Just found unit 6E to be too close to the entrance to the rooftop pool.It is a very nicely furnished...

Looking for a gorgeous place close to all the theme parks I came across the Atrium Resort. The pictures looked great , they had the two bedroom apartment with sea view, washer ,dryer and full kitchen we wanted, so I booked it.
Well, have a look at the pictures below, apart from the apartment layout and the nicely done up kitchen everything was grotty, dingy, dirty and very, very old. In the boys' bedroom both headboards were completely broken off. They fixed it,but still, how did that room pass inspection? As a matter of fact how did the whole room pass inspection? The grout on the floor in the bathroom was horrendous, didn't want to step on it with bare feet, the windowsill speckled with dirt, the curtains had black spots on them that looked suspiciously like mildew and the carpets were just awful. But don't take my word for it, just look at the pictures below as to what they advertised and what we actually ended up with. Of course even though the apartment was so shabby , we paid the same price as for the nicely done up one . See, I don't mind staying in an older place, if I know that's what I booked, as long as its clean, but I DO mind very much staying at an old ,dingy and dirty place when I booked a "luxury " one and paid for such! Never again!

Room Tip: Insist to get a recently renovated room ( they might just have the one in the pictures though) , if...

The atrium was my favourite holiday place to book for years, until my last stay in January 2014.

We had booked a 2bedroom delux spa apartment waterfacing for 5nights. Placed booking over the phone and was told that by the owner I would be given a good deal of $1200. Paid $250 deposit. Got there and was told that they never told me that and I need to pay $1250. This was very disappointing.
Got to our room and seen dust all over the tv unit, marks on the mirrors, hairs in the bathrooms and not to mention on one of the beds there was stained dirty sheets.
Curtains were very dirty and tired looking.

Main bedroom with en suite had wrappers of rubbish under the bed.
In the mornings bright sun hits the room so there is no sleeping in. We were up at 6am everyday because of the bright sun that entered the room
.
Extra charge for dvd player now
No vaccum cleaner is kept in the room anymore which is ridiculous because they expect the room to be cleaned and left how found otherwise will be charged a $40 cleaning fee.

Parking spaces under the apartment is limited.

Only given 1 toilet roll in each bathroom.

Other than this location is nice n close to theme parks and a nice littl3 quite beach opposite.
Runaway bay shopping centre is not far either.

But the atrium has definitely lost a customer that has been a regular since 2006.

We just returned from a week at The Atrium and enjoyed our time there. We paid for a 3.5 star waterfront spa apartment and although the apartment was a little older it was quite adequate for the week. The lounge & dining room faced the waterfront and our bedroom was located at the back of the unit which meant we didn't get woken up by the early morning sun (a big plus). The rooftop pool and spa made you feel like you were in a world of your own. We also used the rooftop BBQ area one night which was very pleasant. There were some minuses such as the kitchen being very small (a one person kitchen) and the main bed was too soft for what we are use to. Carl on the front desk was most accommodating with all our requests and the restaurant on the ground floor is open Tuesday to Saturday and prepares beautiful meals at reasonable prices. If you don't have a car it is a little hard to get around as you are 2km from Harbourtown, 7km from Southport and approx 10km from Surfers Paradise. A bus stop is close by though. Thank you for your hospitality. I hope to return to the Atrium again as soon as I can.

VERY far away to major tourist attraction, inconvenient for transport. There is no room service, had to do your own clean up, HEAVILY OVERPRICED (for what it's worth)! The resort itself is well facilitated, but the room condition was still so-so, looks quite warn out. Overall: NOT for tourists, do not understand where the good reviews come from.

Room Tip: NOT for first-time Gold Coast travellers. Too inconvenient for everything.

At the time of booking we were fortunate to get a good deal. Staff were helpful especially when my key was playing up. Parking is underground. Found it difficult at night to find space to park when all cars were back in the lot.Quite cramped.View from the room was lovely..no complaints. Air con was noisy..but we soon got used to it. If you are fussed about decor/furnishings/etc i suggest you find somewhere else to stay.Other reviewers complain about decor/furnishings dated furniture etc..but for the right price i would say it was great! Rooftop pool was an added bonus i would say. Amazing views from there! If i get another great deal to stay at this resort i will do so. Location is great away from the hustle and bustle of surfers! Close to theme parks Dreamworld and Wet and Wild which was great. Traveling with my family of 4 this resort had all that we needed at the right price!

Room Tip: Our room was 5B you get somewhat of a view of the sea/beach without having to pay the extra for the...
