When we arrived, we found a unit with good room size, clean and fully functioning amenities in the unit. The check in process was easy and swift. The car park has plenty of space to park our car....I always found a slot in the lobby level of the car park throughout my stay. The kitchen comes with all things you need to prepare nice breakfast or late night supper (we ate out through the day).
For those of you who did not have chance to browse through the Internet to pre-book tickets for activities, you could either get help from the counter staff (manned 8AM to 5PM), who are very helpful. Or you can use a machine in the lobby to purchase tickets to attractions.
TV has quite limited channels though...however it was not a major issue as we were out and about the entire day. I checked on the sofa bed, although we did not need it, it was of full queen size bed. There is only one air-conditioner in the living room, since we were there during winter, we did not need the air-conditioner. Both bed-rooms are fitted with ceiling fan. The common bath room has bath up installed, and not so for the bathroom in the master bedroom. I think it could be more friendly if there is a shower head with hose installed in both bathrooms (they now come with wall-fixed shower heads).
The starter kit of the washing powder for both washing machine and dish washer is very thoughtful; we could get our laundry started before we went out to the supermarket for shopping.
There is full size Woolworths supermarket about 10 to 15 minutes drive away from the apartment (within the Australian Fair shopping centre), where you can find all of your daily necessity. Just a short walk down the block, there are a couple of cafes and a Japanese cum Korean restaurant, which opens till late just down the block. There is also a small mini market although we did not get to buy anything there.
For shoppers, drive 10 minutes up to Harbour Town, where you get to shop till you drop.

We love Sandy Point because of the size of the rooms, the facilities(tennis, heated pool, spas, kids games room, gym, free bicycle hire, bbq's) and the close proximity to everything. Harbour town outlet shop within 6 minutes, surfers paradise 10 minutes, hotel and eateries a minute away, all the theme parks about 15 minutes and golf courses are everywhere. The pool is heated to 30 degrees now so beautiful to swim in in the winter. We are on the 14th floor in huge 3 bedroom apartment with views to Surfers paradise and the mountains. Clean rooms, fantastic staff and managers. Why would you go anywhere else?

Room Tip: The 2 bedroom units facing north get a great outlook towards runaway bay and plenty of sun on the ba...

We had a 2brm unit on 9th floor. This gave us great views to Labrador waterway and also to downtown Surfers. Unit was roomy enough for us 2 adults and 2 children, and was very clean. Staff at reception were extremely helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend these apartments to others. Easy to get back onto motorway, to Harbour town and Sea World. Also, my husband and son borrowed a bike and went for a ride out to Runaway Bay. Our children loved the pool and spa.

Central to all the parks and beach. Traveled with two 4 year olds, the condo was great for those rainy days. Helpful staff, well equipped condo, would go back in any time. Best timeshare trade, but they also rent units out.

The location is excellent, near the parks, 10 mins from surfers paradise and within walking distance from restaurants. Not too bad from the airports, although would recommend tou have a car.

Reception needs to be open longer, at least until 7pm.

The apartments are big, good size bedrooms.

The kitchen contents are basic. The knives are kept in a drawer which children could access, which is dangerous.

Wlthough the bedding is clean, the sofas and carpets did not appear to be.

This is a fantastic location for a Family Friendly Holiday, away from the Noise and Crouds of Surfers Paridise. Great amenities on site (Pool, Sauna, Spa's, Gym, Bar, BBQ's, Tennis, Kids Play Area) plus the Labrador Sea-side Swimming Lagoon right out the front (very safe for young Children). Best Accommodation location for all the Gold Coast Theme Parks and right across the Broadwater from Sea World. Very Good local Shopping amenities with Harbour Town just up the road and Australia Fair also nearby. The Grand Hotel is located close by and has a range of eating choices and there is very little noise due to the orientation. Heaps of things to do close by and a week just isn't enough to cover everything available. Considering returning agaon next year as the kids enjoyed it so much.

Room Tip: Ask for a Room onthe Northern end of an upper Floor (2 choices each floor) as the Views of the Broad...

I have been attending Sandy Point for the last 8 years with my family and another family for 2 weeks at a time, from the 10th floor to the 5th floor.
Sandy Point has excellent out door areas for the kids and the young at heart.
Numerous BBQ's, nice cold pool, great tennis court which can be used at night.
Close by is numerous restaurants, Habour town (grab a Texas T-bone from the local butcher there, highly recommended) also close to all the theme parks and Surfers.
Bus stop is out on the highway, a mere one minute walk. We often get a bus to the Four Winds Revolving Restaurant so the adults can have a slip of their fav bevvies and don't bother about driving, plus kids always like a bus trip.
A close by bottle shop and other useful amenities.
One thing is that the resort bar is not open enough
Friendly staff that is more then willing to answer all questions.
If you get there at the right time, you can pick your own veggies and fruit from their Magic Garden.
Outdoor and Indoor spa is a hit with the kids. Lovely big open balconies. Only one thing is the view across the water is obstructed by other buildings.
Car parking is tight, but I have a 4WD vehicle and got it in and out no worries at all.
Can not fault this place. One of the best family friendly places I have stayed in Australia and I have stayed in a lot of places for work and family.
We'll be back there again this year
Would I recommend this place? Hell yes!
