Our only disappointment is that we only stayed one night. A gorgeous little retreat tucked away in a mini rain forest. A roaring log fire greeted us ( it was winter!) and a nice bubbling hot tub. The new owners are so friendly and helpful, even inviting us into their home to watch the feeding of the kookaburras. This is definitely a place to go and chill out and I will definitely be recommending it to all my Aussie friends, and it will be on our top places to go on our next visit to Australia.

We stayed a week at this B&B on top of Mt.Tomwin, close to the NSW border. The new owners Zack and Talissa Fardon have created a lookout platform , overlooking the dense rainforest. On a cold night a fire greets you in the comfortable guest lounge.
My wife had a birthday and on our return from Byron Bay,we found a big bunch of flowers and sweets in our room.
We can recommend this B&B as a base to explore the beautiful landscape all around.

This gem nestled in beautiful natural setting in the mountains was the perfect getaway for my partner and I. The hosts Michael and Marlene were very friendly and really went above and beyond with any requests we had. The room was clean and well presented and very private. Loved the spa area too. surprisingly it was actually close to the road so the occasional cars that drove by seemed quite noisy compared to the general peaceful setting however this was few and far between. highly recommend this to anyone needing a quite romantic getaway.

Room Tip: The room with the claw foot bath is a little more but worth it for privacy as at the end of the buil...

The host - Micheal was very friendly but discreet, he makes the breakfast each morning and there are several selections on the menu. The plate of fresh fruit pieces with yogurt was lovely each morning and Micheal cooks a good egg! The rooms are a decent size, the bathroom is very nice, no bath just shower. The bed was king but too hard for us, we had to put the Doona under the bedsheet for a bit more softness. Although it feels like you are staying in someones house, it is a seperate wing and the bedrooms are very sound proof and the hosts stay out of your way. There is a heated spa on the back deck with a BBQ should you bring groceries with you. Room has a small fridge and a microwave. Although this property is at the highest point before crossing over into NSW thru the old tick gates, there is no view! It is there but is totally screened out by trees on the front of the property, so dont expect magnificent views over Currumbin valley and the mountains. If you want a break to read a book and contemplate nature this is the place for you as long as you like a very firm bed.

Room Tip: Ask for the room at the end of the Hall - it is the largest and most private

We got a Living Social voucher for 2 nights at Kallora and it was great. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and were available to assist in any way however they have a great balance and we were left alone and almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. The location is beautiful with views in the garden over the mountains, the spa was great and we were supplied with all the utensils we needed to have a bbq. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable and included kitchen, tea and coffee facilities, robes, towels etc. We even enjoyed some of the complimentary board games. The continental breakfast was delicious with cereal, toast and a lovely fresh fruit and yoghurt platter which was a great start to the day! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - it was a perfect weekend and we'll definitely be back as well as recommend this to others.

Room Tip: All rooms were equally great

I stayed in this place for 3 nights and me and my family enjoyed the stay and peaceful ambience close to nature. Also we were booked for breakfast lunch and dinner and the host served us very tasty and mouthwatering delicacies. Hosts are experts in hospitality and they really enjoy doing it.

Friendly hosts that know just how to make you feel welcome and comfortable. There if you need them but never intrude on your stay. Fantastic food and plenty of it great cooking worthy of any top restaurant. Rooms clean and beautiful with everything you need in them. This is the best we have ever stayed in. We wanted a peaceful relaxing place and found it here. We didn't want to leave. We will be going back for sure. Just Magical. Michael and Marlene are just the best.

Room Tip: Heritage Room is the one to go for it is fantastic.
