Owner description: Voted one of the Gold Coast's most popular tourist destinations, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the crown jewel of the National Trust of Australia (Queensland) [NTAQ] properties. As one of Queensland's earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: dedication to conserving our nation's Indigenous, natural and historic heritage and culture. With Blinky Bill now present for daily shows, the amazing viewing experiences available at the Wildlife Hospital and hundreds of native Australian animals on display in natural bushland and rainforest settings, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the ultimate holiday adventure for the entire family.

Fantastic family day can be had by all from 5 year olds to 80 year olds, every one catered for. From tree top adventures to train rides. Try a segway tour to the crocodile feeding event or get your photo taken with a snake. Maybe eel feeding is more your style as opposed to a chat with a friendly water dragon. It's all here, bring your picnic basket and save yourself from a heart attack by avoiding the kiosk food.
Be prepared to walk, climb and fly.

Go early to the free bird feeding. Just don't park in the carpark opposite as there is a fee, but only early mornings (so much for free!).

Many shows, all animal based, and all are informative and entertaining.
Food is reasonable, probably better than most attraction on the Gold Coast.
Beautiful park surrounds, and a cute adventure park. Actually two, one for kids and one for serious adults (at extra cost).

Well worth paying the entrance fees to see everything. Lorikeets, crocodiles, koalas, kangaroos, dingos, animal hospital, water birds and eels, and much more. A great day for kids and adults alike.

The sheep shearing show in particular was the most informative and entertaining show I have seen in years. Tee and the crew at the Sanctuary were fantastic and I recommend anyone travelling to the Gold Coast that this show is a must see. Thanks Tee.
There's a fee to get into the Sanctuary ($33 currently on the net - adults at kids prices usually $49!)
Once in the park all the attractions are free!

Regards Patrick,Janet and Chris Flanagan

This was our third time at Currumbin, and our first with the two children (3 and 5 y.o.). I must say I was a bit disappointed this time around. Yes, the place is clean and the staff are very friendly. But the overall attraction is quite limited. The bird show was good, but the Crocodile feed was over in the blink of an eye (far better available at Aust. Zoo and Hartleys-Cairns). The food choices were limited, unless you came back to the entrance/exit and visited the café. 'Wild' kangaroos were enjoyable and happy to be patted and had photos with. Older children wood probably get a bit more out of here, with the ropes course, but for little ones, it might be worth the longer drive to Aust. Zoo...
