The pool was absolutely beautiful (both in the day and the night time), and could be enjoyed from the huge balcony, lounge and kitchen as well. We will visit again in summer and bring my mother who will no doubt thoroughly enjoy the beach entrance to the magnificent pool, although might find the steps up to the unit a little difficult. Exceptionally clean throughout the grounds, including the bbq areas. We found the rules in place for the complex were generally adhered to by everyone making it pleasant for all. The room was very large and spacious with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, however the Sanctuary train did wake us on one morning. The planes do fly quite low directly overhead, being so close to the airport, however we have been used to that in the past. A longer stay, particularly for four people would benefit from a larger fridge, but kitchen had everything we needed and all in good working order. We did find the tv did not have all free to air channels though. A stone's throw from everything we wanted for the weekend and a short flat walk to cafes, surf clubs, restaurants, supermarket, hotel, chemist etc. Permanent residents below did have bbq on balcony one afternoon that sent smoke pouring into our unit and we had to close the doors to the balcony until they were finished.

We stayed at the Sanctuary Lake Apartments dut to the need of a three bedroom apartment. The accommodation it self was clean, lovely and spacious.. We were a little shocked at the over head air traffic noise that comes from staying near Coollangatta airport. We enjoyed our stay and Miles and Tony looked after us wonderfully! Highly recommended for families!

we have been in australia for 6 weeks, we stayed at sanctuary lake for 4 nights but it is still the place the kids are talking about. It was very comfortable (apart from lots of stairs and airplane noise) Had everything we needed and a welcome pack for getting started. The pools were good sized and very clean and we were close to beaches, wildlife sanctuary and the gold coast without the busyness.

We had a lovely week at Sanctuary Lakes. The apartment was incredibly clean and functional and very well stocked, especially the kitchen. We had lovely weather and spent most of our days at the theme parks or out and about but would have been happy to spend a day indoors at the apartment if the weather had been rainy. The books and DVDs were an added bonus.

The only downside was that the apartments are directly under the flight path to Coolangatta airport and the planes took a little getting use to at first. However, this wouldn't be a deterrent for a return visit.

Would also recommend having breakfast at the Currumbin Bird Sanctuary (a short walk), it was our best breakfast of our holiday.

Would recommend these apartments to families looking for a base for a theme park holiday away from the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise.

Beware, potential visitors. There are in these apartments a list of items you have to pay for if you don't clean up upon departure. We are not dirty people, but there is a list of charges if, for example, you don't throw out your rubbish. Of course we throw out our rubbish daily, but there is that last bag when you check out of a hotel/motel that you leave behind, thinking it is the job of the staff to clean up. Well, this place charges you for that.
If you don't EMPTY out the dishwasher before you check out, they will charge you for having to empty it. Isn't this ridiculous? When we stay at other places, we often have our breakfast, set the dishwasher on, then check out. Well, here, you have to sit around to wait till the dishwasher finishes, then stack the plates back, before you leave. Otherwise there will be a surcharge. These are not the only two items. The list occupies an A4 page.

pre booked and fully paid online for a pool view room .on arrival we were down graded to an apartment overlooking workmans sheds from the wildlife sanctuary with the park train ride going every 5 mins. we rang reception to question the booking only to be told that they were fully booked and offered no other room. their assumption was we would be happy with the down ground at the same price. the manager said she would call us back to work out a solution.we waited 20 - 30 minutes in the room with no contact. we found bigger and better accomodation at sands turtle beach resort that was much cheaper. no apologies or responsibilities were ever taken by sanctuary lake. so glad we never stayed!!!!!!!!

Stayed in a two bedroom apartment overlooking the pool (as most of the rooms do) and backing onto the Currumbin wildlife park. The blinds were broken and kept falling down and there was paint in the cubboard but other then that it was a really nice place to stay, been close to the airport there would be planes flying over head very 30 mins to hour or so but I didn't that to be a problem. the staff were very nice when we got there but we found them to be rude over the phone as if they could'nt wait to get rid of you.
the car park was great with plenty of room and the beach was just over the road. Very happy and will be coming back.
If your after the night life then this place is not for you but is the perfect place for the family.
