Rang late Sunday. Inside booked out. Outside available. Done.
Arrived and could see our table under a large canopy with two other tables. Developers are upgrading the shopping complex. Will be great when finished but a slightly noisy diesel generator was a bit off putting (not the restaurants fault).
Menu, water for the table, wine glasses. Waitress a delight. Chose curry puffs, steamed dimmies as starters. Presented beautifully. Puffs very good. Dimmies also lovely.
Different waitress, just as nice made some suggestions.
Belacan vegetables, a serve of crackling pork and steamed rice. No spinach left so would we like bok choy. Ok.
Arrived. Nicely presented but the pork was a bit light on size wise (for the price). Maybe it was our choice but both mains were not to our liking. The belacan was a bit bland. Not much crackling on the pork but sauce was beautiful. We were offered a complimentary coconut jelly desert but declined. Nice touch though.
We enjoyed the night but maybe would order differently next time. Nearly $60 for two isn't a "cheap and cheerful".
