One of the more expensive restaurants in this area, but worth every penny. Superb food, excellent service and a great atmosphere. Viola, the owner is knowledgable and keen to recommend food and wine choices. We shared a starter, had two main courses and shared a dessert - a good bottle of local wine, a couple of brandies and coffee for just under €100. Included was an appetiser and home-made bread and crostini. Highly recommended for Italian food with a modern twist

We enjoyed this so much we stayed an extra night in Torri de Benaco so we could eat there again.

A husband a wife team have been running this restaurant for 30+ years and food was superb. However, if you like pizza and pasta this is not the pace for you - this is fine dining and you pay for it - it is not cheap but it's worth every penny.

One of the things that particularly impressed me was when we went back for the second night we were recognized and welcomed. Because the menu hadn't had time to change from our first visit they offered us some 'specials' that were not offered to the other tables. Also we got a different amuse bouche to everyone else because we had the one they were getting the previous night - 10 or 10 for that touch!

The restaurant has a magical climate of italy. The food was delicious, served in a nice garnish. The portions were rather small, but we don't eat so much anyways. The taste was amazing, starting from delicious "antipasti" finishing on spectacular strawberry dessert. It's worth recommending, however one should be prepared to part with at least 70 Euros for two people

We had a couple of dinners here, each were delightful evenings. The husband & wfe team work hard to offer innovative food and good service. Ask for a glass of wine, and some good suggestions follow, and if the taste does not suit another is immediately offered. the amuse bouches were tasty and the petit fours, clearly made on the premises completed the meals. This is probably one of the best places on southeast side of the lake.

Every detail counts at Viola. We sat in the courtyard under the grapevines and softly played music with amazing ambience.

The key here is the relaxed and warm nature of the staff. You feel welcomed immediately, and right at home.

The menus are printed on the back of lids from wine crates. There's 3-4 options only for each course, and plenty for a vegetarian appetite. We were told that Viola was originally Michelin starred and one can see this in the food preparation and quality of service.

Bread, water, and plates moved on and off the table smoothly with no interruption to our conversations. The food portions were plenty, everyone left the table more than full. Of the courses selected, the homemade pastas were the standout. Pork chops marinated in local Italian spices were also savory and delicate. The truffled egg appetizer is a must. I can't describe it, you simply need to try.

The owner greets you warmly and ensures families with children, or young couples on a date, are well looked after.

Our table of 6 left with huge smiles. The young couple on their first date? Not so much. But that was likely due to her flirting more with her mobile phone than with him.

Even the most wonderful culinary experiences can't save a bad date! :-)
