Not a hotel as such, but a small collection of apartments; from two-bed roomed, fully-equipped to large rooms with a kitchenette. We could not fault the place in any way. We had a small kitchenette in our very large room but, taking advantage of the many fabulous restaurants, only used the coffee percolator and wine glasses! The place was immaculate and spotlessly clean. The staff were very accommodating, knowledgable and helpful whilst at the same time, discreet. Our balcony overlooked the gardens and Lake Garda. Added bonus includes free wifi and free parking - just make sure you hire a smallish car, as the parking spots can be a bit tight! As a base, the small town of Torri del Benaco is perfect for exploring the entire lake. A magical holiday and we cannot wait to go back...

Room Tip: Pay a small premium for a lake view, it's unbeatable when you open the curtains in the morning!

Stayed for one week at ca del largo in june , weather was very hot 35 degrees. The property is very well maintained and most rooms have beautiful views of the lake. Staff are very polite and efficient. We had a suit which had full cooking facilities and great views from the balcony but was not cheap at euros 1,600 for a weeks stay. The residence does a continental breakfast for 12 euros per head but after trying it the first day we did not think it worth the money and decided to cater for ourselves as there are shops within walking distance and a llidls about 15 minutes drive away. On the downside the property is up a winding road and not suitable for anyone with mobility problems, the car parking is not good with an underground car park that is not easy to manoeuvre around in, also we found air con units noisy and sound proofing between walls pretty well non existent, the pool we felt should be heated considering the money being charged but on the whole had a really enjoyable week . It was our first ever visit to lake garda and is probably one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited, we will most definitely return

Room Tip: Rooms number 30 plus are on top of property and have best views but have noise of adjacent bar and p...

This has to be one of the best places we have stayed. The location is great, up a steep hill but with an amazing view. We took advantage of the free bikes to explore the beautiful area. We had an apartment with a balcony, looking over the lake & you never tire of that view. The apartment itself is well equipped with everything you need. The little kitchenette is perfect for making breakfast & lunch & you can request a toaster if needed. The bed was very comfy & a good size. There is plenty of storage space & there are complimentary shower gel etc. There is a hair dryer, safe & plenty of sockets, including an English plug. The balcony in our room was a good size, & it caught the sun in the afternoon/evening-perfect!! I think that the balconies are generally slightly more private then the gardens. The pool area was lovely, the pool itself freezing but guessing this will heat up as it gets warmer!! The breakfast is probably a little steep at €12 each but the view you get from the Bar is worth it!! I requested a gluten free breakfast & I had a basket of goodies on arrival, which was very much appreciated. The only thing I could say that slightly spoilt our stay was a massive group of friends & family arrived. This meant they took over the small pool area & bar. This obviously isn't the hotels fault but I thought it was worth a mention because it certainly impacted on the atmosphere of the place. I wonder if they regularly book in big parties-which is perfect if your in that party but not so good if your not. Also the wi if didn't work towards the end of our stay. We didn't want to use it much but it was handy for planning trips out etc. Only 2 small niggles really. Finally, a big compliment to the reception staff, especially Camilla. They were so friendly & helpful & answered all my questions prior or arrival & whilst here. We will definitely be returning.

I must admit that after trawling through the many hotels and B & B is Torri del Benaco, it felt a little like Goldilocks and the 3 bears - either too small or too something else.

I then selected the other accommodation category and out popped Residence Ca del Lago.

What a delightful property - sited off the main road, in a quiet street. Be warned that many other properties front the main road and could be potentially very noisy. Not only are the rooms quiet, but what a view - the lakes and mountains are picture postcard material.

Our room, for 2, whilst not large, was very comfortable and well equipped with a kitchenette. Had we wished to self cater we could have done so very easily.

The breakfast was good , the service in the whole hotel was friendly and very obliging - nothing was ever a problem. Their restaurant suggestions were excellent.

We have made a mental note to return - preferably during a shoulder season as I could imagine this town in summer could be a real trial.

We reserved adjoining apartments (one slept 6 and one slept 2) for 3 nights. Everything went smoothly and we were taken by reception to our rooms with an option to have staff assist with the luggage. The rooms were large, had an adequate kitchenette, and had beautiful views of the lake and castle.A small exercise room, sauna, laundry room, bike rental, and pool are included. Housekeeping left a nice pastery on Easter! Would highly recommend a stay here.

We stayed at the residence for three nights at the beginning of April and couldn't fault it. The staff are delightful, accommodation is really nice, and despite the weather meaning we couldn't use the pool it was a perfect base for exploring and relaxing.

As we went out of season Torri itself was a little deserted, but in a way that was quite nice, although we ventured to Garda in the evenings as only a few restaurants were open in Torri and they lacked atmosphere.

The room itself (we stayed in room 4 next to reception) was comfortable and very clean, with a fabulous view. However, the little garden at the front did not offer much privacy due to it being next to reception. The maid came in to empty bins and make the beds daily, and the little kitchen was fine for cooking, although we ate out.

As it was an apartment, we were surprised to find that the maid came daily and that towels were changed. There is also a hairdryer and they supply quite nice toiletries, as well as a little supply of tea and coffee. My favourite find was a stove top espresso machine.

This is also the first place we've stayed where there is actually a facility for charging your phone etc with a uk plug and USB socket.

The views from the breakfast terrace are spectacular, however I did think that breakfast was a little pricey at 12 euro's per head, despite it being plentiful and a good selection.

The gardens are nice to walk in and for photography. As I've seen mentioned on here by previous reviews, the parking is a little tight and when the weekend arrived we found ourselves lucky to get a space.

The resort itself is very geared up for the German clientele, but the English are well received.

All in all a lovely stay and a perfect place from which to explore the lake, although I would recommend a car.

Room Tip: Definitely go for a room with a lake view and if I were going back I'd ask for a room with a bal...

you have nice view to the lake and only few munites to the Village
the ferry is only 2 minutes away, in the hotel you should take the rooms at the corner with lake view as they are better silenced as the room 17 or 16.
nice place which I could 99% recommend.
