“Absolutely top notch!”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

Lovely hotel, great location overlooking the Baradari Gardens and service that's second to none. The staff here are absolutely excellent, they couldn't have done more to help when I ended up stranded in Patiala without a hotel, they managed to re-jig things to accommodate me despite being technically full.

Rooms - clean, simple and elegant. Not cheap but in this case, you definitely get what you pay for.
Food, excellent range of Indian, Chinese and continental - excellent value.
Service - couldn't have been better

Overall - I'd happily recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Try and get one at the front of the hotel overlooking the gardens!

We were in Patiala for a wedding with no place booked, when we decided to just check this place out. Normally these places tend to be expensive, however, we were three couples and they offering some discounts - and we ended up with one of their largest suites. Needless to say, the stay was brilliant, and the property was just wonderful, with large gardens and tons of space to walk around. We had awesome time there and would definitely return - I even took a Neemrana Membership post that experience!

Staying here was a different and good experience. They property is Old but has a charm of its own.Rooms are huge..height of ceiling around 6 to 7m. 1 point to note my room was a big room with just a partition for the toilet and the shower ( no wall between bedroom and toilet). Breakfast is stingy with few options and very less quantity.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind words about The Baradari Palace heritage hotel in Patiala.

We are pleased to learn that you enjoyed the experience.

As you may be aware, every effort has been made to retain the original structure of the building. Thus in a few rooms the bathroom is incorporated in the room which give these rooms an informal and intimate ambience.

However if you are looking for a room with an attached bathroom, do inform our Sales team about your requirements and they shall gladly assist you in finding a suitable room whenever you stay with us next.

Please note that the complimentary breakfast includes a choice of different cereals, milk & porridge, fresh fruit, fruit juice, eggs made to offer, a choice of Neemrana jams, toast, an Indian dish (parantha/aloo poori/poha/upma/chhola bhatoora) and tea & coffee. We would be happy to receive feedback about what you missed at the email address mentioned below.

This is a Neemrana heritage property. It was the royal residence of the Maharaja of Patiala. The rooms are all quite huge. We stayed in Room no. 14 (Maharaja Yadavindra Singh. It had a huge bathroom with a bathtub right in the centre & terraces at the back & front of the huge room.

Location wise, it is great & very central. There is greenery all around and you see & hear a lot of birds in the Baradari gardens around. Omaxe mall (the only mall in Patiala) is walking distance while the Dukhniwaran Gurudwara, the Qila Mubarak & the lane markets around it are all a short drive away.

It is a nice property to just laze around and enjoy the green surroundings. Breakfast options were quite restricted but the taste was quite good. Dinner food was tasty though slightly overpriced.

They should update the old style colour TV's to LCD's.

Room Tip: There are about 18 rooms to choose from on three floors. Heritage property, so only wooden staircase...

Dear Guest,

We are pleased to read about your experience at The Baradari Palace heritage hotel in Patiala.

It is great to know that you had a comfortable stay at the property and thoroughly enjoyed the surrounding greenery and birdlife.

Your compliments about the food have been conveyed to the Chef.

We have noted your suggestion and shall certainly consider the same.

While we are grateful that you complete the viability cycle for any heritage ruin to be restored and then maintained for future generations, we urge you to continue on this less-travelled path.

The team led by Kapil went all out to:

1) Make us feel at home and provide a perfect winter break.
2)Provide great meals ( especially the Continental & Chinese)
3)Offer Super service
4)Guide us to a newly introduced Punjab Tourism led Heritage Walk of Patiala
5)Offer us sun soaked experiences in the terraces of the palace.
Overall a 'divine' experience-the Neemrana way!

Also suggest good to visit at PATIALA: Baradari Garden's, Omaxe mall, Gopal sweets( like the Haldiram's) , Kali Mandir-all will give you a good flavour of the culture and people. They are also within the vicinity of the Rajinder Kothi/Baradari Palace.

Room Tip: For a winter break, a room with a terrace/veranda ( sun facing) is ideal!
