Dusty's place is a great house which very quickly became our home for the week. Lovely beaches and walks in the surrounding areas. We also found some wonderful places to eat. We enjoyed Dusty's outside space as did our dogs - playing ball and eating al fresco!
Looking forward to our return visit.
Had an amazing time at dustys place great garden and beautiful beaches close by kids and dogs loved it
Fantastic accommodation - everything is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need. Lots of recommendations for where to visit. A selection of stunning beaches nearby - ideal for dogs. Breathtaking scenery. Excellent SuperValu supermarket in Carndonagh where you can stock up on everything you need for your holiday and it is open 7 days a week. I have been twice and am going to book for next year!
I have just comeback from a week at Dusty's Place, it is indeed a fitting tribute that its named after the owners beloved `dusty'. It is a well thought out haven for a dog lover who likes to take their companion on holiday rather than cage them for a week. I had never been to north east Donegal and I have to say Inishowen is a hidden gem unspoiled and fresh with kind and helpful people.
I took my mum who had never been to the north west region and more often than not preferred to go abroad, however this little spot has changed her mind for the better !! Dustys place is a bright well appointed home deceptive on the out side huge and airy & fresh on the inside. A super large enclosed half acre for a safe secure playground for any amount of dogs we had 5. The beaches are huge and not over populated the sea was invigorating and i swam every day. There are many beaches to chose from, the area is scenic and everything is within easy reach for a relaxed break with your dogs. As a life long dog lover this is what we have been looking for and other parts of Ireland could well learn a lesson from Dusty's place ! Thanks to Eileen for a memorable holiday.
When you try to select a holiday rental that accommodates dogs there are a few things that are a must - hard floor surfaces, leather + wood furniture, enclosed garden, this place has them all.
Its a great sized house located in a quiet lane off the main road, within walking distance of Gleneely and an easy drive to Culdaff, Carndonagh and Moville.
Our only complaint was the heating, it seemed to take a day or two for the house to heat up and we didn't anticipate using as many euros as we did to get warm and ended up using turf in the fire when we could.
We have just returned with our 3 doggie babies from a 10 day stay at Dusty's place. We travelled by car from Fife crossing with the ferry from Cairnryan to Larne, then a 2 hour drive to the house. It was a long day for all but well worth it. We received a warm welcome and the house was great, lots of space and very comfortable. The garden is brilliant for playing football with dogs and very safe. We enjoyed having the stove on in the lounge in the cold evenings. The beaches are fabulous and much enjoyed by doggie surfers. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. We will return!

We recently spent a week in Dusty's Place with our Cocker Spaniel and extended family from NI and England. Everyone had a ball - the house is great, and the garden is ideal for canine family members to run around (and bark at the nearby sheep and cows!!). The nearby beaches are excellent, especially Culdaff, but worth knowing that as it is Blue Flag, dogs should be on a lead in the summer months. We will definitely plan to be back at some point in the future!
