“Wonderful vie and good fare”

Good food, nice welcome and punctual service. You really come for the fantastic views of the sunset over the Dentelles de Montmirail. Always a lovely experience with a partner or friends.

“Location could be used in movie..”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

We are staying in the hotel La Garance in Ste.Colombe. We take our holidays since 20 years in this region of France, but never before had a meal at this restaurant. It is best to make a reservation and we were told that credit cards are not accepted. The staff was very friendly. The chef 's cuisine is delicious and I especially liked the lamb prepared with herbes de provence. Good choice of local wines as well. The view this restaurant offers is breathtaking, especially the sunset. The only negative remark I have concerns the lady of the house. She is not very friendly and gives you the feeling she is superior to her clients. If she wants to make a good impression on the customers, I kindly would advise her to change her attitude.

“horrible service”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

The view is great, the appetizer and dessert were fine, but the leg of lamb was dry and tasteless: maybe prepared too far in advance? What's more important, the service by the lady of the house was horrible. We had hired the entire restaurant for our group, but she was insensitive and took no notice of the speeches which were given by some of our group members, and simply talked right through. In addition, she was rude to the guests, as if she hated being there. When I removed the umbrellas, she complained that I was dripping water on the floor. Ridiculous. She ruined what could have been a beautiful evening.

“One of the best meals I ate this Summer”
Reviewed 21 September 2013

We were camping in Bédoin in August, and booked an evening meal at this restaurant, and were really glad we did. Reservation is essential, but I have rarely felt so welcomed in a restaurant in another country. The setting is wonderful, but the perfectly executed menu and great service made the evening. I was impressed that the young children on the next table were also welcomed, and clearly had a great time themselves.

“Beautiful and delicious”
Reviewed 31 July 2013 via mobile

The Mas des Vignes is not only located in a beautiful spot, with great views over the Vaucluse area near Mont Ventoux, it is also one of the best restaurants I have ever visited.
The menu offers very good local food for reasonable prices, and the wine list is also filled with good local wines for a decent price. The chef is a master in preparing delicious dishes for the well-travelled, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Do make a timely reservation to get a nice table on the terrace, as the view is half of the pleasure of being here.
Also be aware there are no parasols and no credit cards, so bring a hat or cap and cash with you to enjoy what will certainly be one of your most pleasant evenings in this beautiful part of a beautiful country. Worth the detour!
