From the free wagon rides Nd seeing the light s of Fountain Hills and the cooking of your hot dogs r brats over the fire and the live music ( not to mention the adult beverages) this place is great for a family outing! play bags, sir by the fire, or have the kids expend all that energy. its worth the trip!

We had a blast on this 1.5 hour horseback ride!!! Owner and son were fabulous tour guides and showed concern for our safety. We were offered free waters to take with us on the trail. Our girls ages 10 and 13 enjoyed every minute as well - they are beginner riders. Their friends had a great time too. Beautiful scenery and sweet horses. Crossed the river two times which was fun. Saw the Bald Eagle nest and a wild horse. Loved how their dog Marley followed us on the trail ride and kept us entertained. We would definately do it over again!! We have also done the hay rides here and had a great experience with those as well. Thank you SO much Fort McDowell!!

We just got back from a trail ride with Fort McDowell Adventures. Our group included one experienced rider and two beginners. The owner and the cowboys really know their horses and they matched the horses perfectly to the abilities and personalities of the riders. The cowboys were really knowledgeable and shared a lot of information with us about the area but then also gave us plenty of time to soak in the solitude and gorgeous scenery. I was super impressed at how kindly they treated the horses and how kind and friendly everyone was. It was a great experience, beautiful scenery, great guides and fabulous horses. We even got to see some wild horses enjoying themselves in the river. Can't wait to go back.

This is a blast ! no where else will you be able to go on a horseback ride and cross the verde river, ride under the trees and get very close to nesting bald eagles. YES, Bald Eagles out here in the desert. They are so much larger then you expect. Expert wranglers match you to the proper horse based upon your riding experience and desire. Very nice folks and good horses. Troy is most kind. He has assembled a great group of trail hands/wranglers that will help ensure a very memorable ride. Outstanding scenery in the area. Up arroyos and down through washes... keep your head on a swivel because you never know what you will see.
