A comment re Thomson's Dreamliner - great for legroom, lousy for width and access.
Complex accommodation, food, drink, staff all near perfect. We initially had five rainy days but even that didn't spoil the pleasure of exploring and settling in. After four days we were offered a bribe to move to the newly opened El Dorado Generations Hotel. The only advantages we gained were access to three superb restaurants and larger rooms. The bathroom of the rooms we were in was seriously overlooked and it proved quite a struggle to get a lightproof curtain fixed. This was mainly due to the incompetence of our concierge (a Brit), who also managed to ruin my birthday candlelit dinner by mixing up the arrangements. The beach in front of the hotel is well equipped but is positivly dangerous to anyone wanting to swim because it is necessary to negotiate underwater ledges and boulders. An accident waiting to happen! On the whole we would have been better refusing the move. That said it was an indulgent well enjoyed holiday we are saving up to repeat..More
