You would not expect to find a restaurant like Le Clarisse in this area. It is part of a gorgeous boutique hotel, simply decorated, high high ceilings, stylish and due to its cliff top location, stunning views across Amantea and out to sea. The restaurant is in a walled courtyard which is lit up at night with candles on the walls and tables. The tables sparkled with crystal glasses and white table clothes. The service was impeccable. It was Saturday night and Le Clarisse had a 4 course 'Feast' menu although we managed to persuade them to accept us with just 2 courses which was almost as expensive but well worth it. The food was divine, nouveau style i.e.small, but we were certainly full on completion. The only drawback was the drive there and back - unbelievably tricky, a narow lane twisting up towards the summit was slightly hair raising when a car came the other way.
