We stayed one night after the first night of the storm. We changed our plans at the last minute because of this & Trish was very accommodating, making it work for us.
When we arrived we received a thoroughly warm welcome with lots of key info.
The bach had everything we needed, beds with linen, ensuite, kitchen, heaters & great internet access was available on site too.
Unfortunately the storm didn't stop so we didn't get a chance to explore, would definitely go back to do so!

Beautiful, clean and tidy camp ground. We had a cabin which included everything from kitchen, shower, TV, nice furniture (table and modern chairs) and a couple of chairs in front of the door. We enjoyed the time there very much.

Room Tip: Cabins are located close to showers, toilets and kitchen which is the centre of the place.

Seems this was once a kiwi holiday park. The managing lady was very friendly and helpful but the campground feels and looks outdated. To much spiderwebs in the toilets and the laundry for me. This could be easily solved but there is possibly no more love invested in this campground.

Well this was our second visit to Baylys beach holiday park. The first stay was so much fun we couldn't wait to get back. First time we took our 24 year old son and girlfriend and stayed in one of the units. It was fantastic as being keen 4WD ers and motor bikers there was plenty of room to park our trucks and bikes. The unit was just perfect for us. It was comfy and clean. We cooked breakfast in the morning and sat out on our deck. There was also a shared kitchen which was fun in the evening as we met quiet a few people while there so we cranked up the BBQ outside the shared kitchen and enjoyed a chat and a few Bevys why we heard other peoples story's about what they did on the beach that day. Trish the camp ground owner is so accommodating in every way. Nothing's a problem and she always has a smile on her face. Our second stay we took the family again. This time our boy and his girlfriend stayed in there own cabin and us in ours. Still great fun and comfy again. This time we used the shared kitchen the whole time. We enjoyed it as it's pleasantly social and a big area with lots of room for everyone. The beach itself was so close and just amazing for our FWDing and biking. Such a fab weekend both times and we look forward to our next. Thanks for having us Trish and Mark. Oh and the very friendly fluffy black pussy cat is just gorgeous. He got to enjoy a wee but of our rib eye steak. He was very thankful. :-) if you like a typical kiwi style holiday this is the place to go. Shannon and Mike

We were overjoyed with our stay in our large family cabin. It was a little dated but it was clean tidy and well equipped.
Wonderfully comfortable with a fully set out kitchen making life easy for us while away from home.
Wonderful quiet location with very helpful staff and just a short stroll to the beach.
My only negative comment was that there was not enough playground equipment for the kids. Not a big problem as we spent our time at the beach.
Thanks for a great stay.

We went there for the quads they do rent out to drive along the coast. This was one hell of an adventure and amazing fun.
The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful.
The region itself is simple but beautiful.

Baylys Beach Holiday Park is located at a 15 minute walking distance from the 100km long Ripiro Ocean Beach, NZ's longest drivable beach for 4WD vehicles. The tiny seaside town consists mainly of holiday houses and is unimpressive.

Arriving after a day on the road, we were welcomed by the park's lady receptionist with a friendly smile. The park offers cabins, a backpacker lodge, cottages and powered & unpowered sites. Facilities encompass free showers, kitchen, BBQ and laundry. Wi-Fi internet is extra. We had a powered site for one night. As off-season had started we saw few other camper-vans in the park.

The park is quiet, family operated and reasonably maintained. The cabins appear nice and comfortable. Overall the park facilities however leave a somewhat outdated impression. Nonetheless we recommend Baylys Beach Holiday Park to anyone travelling with a camper-van.
