This restaurant is almost monotonous for it's excellence and never fails to impress. Celebrated my 70th birthday on 3rd May with 10 friends and had a superb evening. The food and service was second to none as always. This is a family owned restaurant and they, and their delightful staff, pamper you in a way that is almost addictive. So much so that we returned on May 9th for a fun evening of live Irish music. The food, which also contained some Irish influence, was again excellent and a great night was had by all.

Standards are high, its very popular.
The food choice should suit any palate, we have only been disappointed when we find they have run out of something.. This shows you how good the food is! and our problem for dining late.
Sunday roasts are plentiful and to die for, best in the area.
The 'Team' that own, work in and run 'The barn' can never do enough to please.
The loyalty card system is a bonus.

I always return to The Barn when in the area, I am never let down with the quality of service or the variety of menu. Mother's Day and a Saturday evening visit superb. They even cooked fish & chips for my husband and son although it was not on the menu, now that is what I call service. Well done everyone.

How refreshing to write that on our second visit everything was the same as the first (look at the reviews of Como in Guildford for a restaurant struggling for consistency).
Make no mistake this is a very rare trait in restaurants.Food outstanding as before-roasts were brilliant.Still only managed 2 courses as sizes are large.
We were a party of 7 on the Easter Sunday.Restaurant understandably was very busy but didn't notice any problems whatsoever. If anything service levels were higher than before.Didn't wait any time for drink orders to be taken and food orders were all delivered faultlessly.
If I was an employee I would feel very proud to be associated with such an establishment which is clearly at the top of its game.
