We were on a reccie of the Safor region with a view to buying a property. We picked the Villa Florencia for our three day trip primarily for its' excellent location. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the welcome and the accommodation on offer. Nigel and Mark went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. They were on hand to offer advice, pour us a drink and basically meet our every need. We had two evening meals cooked by Mark, both of which were delicious. Our room was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom. Although we were there in November, the weather was lovely and if we return to this region we would definitely stay at the villa again and make use of the lovely pool set among the orange groves and mountains. We also loved the dogs! Thank you guys!!

We stopped at Villa Florencia on way touring through Spain. We were warmly welcomed with drinks, a glorious swim after our long drive and had a great evening meal, room has all necessary facilities good shower. Breakfast was excellent with fine selection of fruit, cereals, breads etc which set us up for the day. Valencia is a short train ride form here and also convenient to countryside.

Room Tip: All rooms were good, there is an apartment to rent too.

Just spent a lovely week at Villaflorencia, cannot recommend it highly enough. Mark and Nigel were the perfect hosts and we felt very well looked after in a relaxing atmosphere. It is a truly unique experience to spend time at the villa. The swimming pool was lovely, albeit a little cold. The gardens are a picture and a pleasure to sit in. We enjoyed the food and the company of the hosts at dinner. The dogs, Lola, Sandy, Aurora and Buckley are an absolute joy. If you are interested in bird watching, you should contact David Warmington of http://valenciabirding.com/ to arrange a birding trip - Highly recommended. Gandia beach is a long area of blue flag beach with fine sands, beach bars and restaurants, and good swimming opportunities. On the Thursday of our visit mark and Nigel took us to gandia town for a tapas evening with their friends, Sue and Gareth which was a really enjoyable evening. We also visited the monastery at Simat (well worth a visit) and the town of Xativa. Still much more of the area to explore so hope to make a return visit when we can. Thanks to Nigel and Mark.

We had a two night stay with Mark and Nigel as a welcome respite from the noise and bustle of Alicante. We shared the apartment with our two kids, ideal for a family as we had a private entrance and secluded seating areas. The apartment is generously proportioned and very well kitted out. Around the property the views are fabulous, lush gardens surrounded by vertiginous craggy hills. A beautiful pool ideal for kids as it has safe wide steps. Mark organised with the help of a local mountain biking company a couple of excellent trips out on hired bikes. Our hosts were endlessly patient with our children, answering their many questions, most of which related to the animals. And the animals, it is almost a nature reserve!
We had a very enjoyable dinner and can recommend the home cooking option.
Overall more like staying with two old friends, we will be returning as soon as we can possibly manage it!

Second time we have stayed here and couldn't, recommend it enough. Friendly, clean, good attention to detail. Small B&B but big on hospitality. Good size swimming pool.
Thank you again Mark and Nigel.
